"Recommended for Medicaid, good location"

I'd recommend Summit. Takes Medicaid after spend down. Good availability and location.

"Inadequate, Unprofessional Assisted Living Facility – Not for the Lucid"

Some staff at this assisted living facility are okay, but many are subpar and unprofessional, with loads of them coming and going. The food options are nearly nonexistent - they usually only offer cold PB&J sandwiches. The folks serving food are mean, and the care workers always claim they're too busy or simply never follow through with their promises. Despite what the pamphlets and salespeople promise, they don't provide half of the listed services. It's a gloomy place with annoyingly loud music playing while the TV is on. Most of the residents have dementia or Alzheimer's, which is why they always lock the doors. They ask for input on how to get better, but never act on it. It's definitely not suitable for those in their right mind. My mom couldn't wait to get out.

"An Assisted Living Facility More Like a Neglected Prison"

The staff was seriously careless at this assisted living facility. My family member, who has diabetes, had a high blood sugar episode because he didn't get his insulin shot. We only found out when he ended up in the hospital. His room was in terrible condition - never cleaned. We even saw an aide angrily yelling and threatening to hit a resident who was having a tough Alzheimer's day. The food was decent, but when the chef quit, the quality dropped significantly. For months, residents had to eat cold cereal for breakfast and basic foods like peanut butter and jelly, hot dogs, and mac n cheese for their other meals. The aides, who already seemed overwhelmed, were expected to handle food since there were no kitchen staff. Food would often sit forgotten on tables, not cleaned up. We were paying extra each month for our family member to be showered and shaved, but we noted once that he went over two weeks without bathing, shaving, or changing clothes. The one upside? If you can take care of yourself and your family can't visit, this place is perfect; it's like being left alone in jail.

"Avoid Summit Place for Loved Ones' Care"

Summit Place's leadership is genuinely dreadful, and their employees are barely average. We picked this location because it was so convenient to our family. It was a poor decision. My mother entered this facility healthy, but she sadly passed away after just three and a half months. If you really care about your parents, avoid Summit Place.

"Mom Enjoys Assisted Living with Courtyard View"

My mom’s doing well here. She enjoys the activities and her lovely room with a courtyard view. The staff is mostly good, though sometimes slow to respond. The location is convenient for our family.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living, but Pricey"

I enjoyed visiting this community during my tour. The people I met were friendly, and the place was clean. However, it was a bit pricier than what we wanted.

"Not Ideal for Mom"

The people living there seem bored. The building is too simple and small. It's not a great place for Mom.
