"Impersonal but quality care at Sunrise of West Essex"
Sunrise of West Essex operates smoothly, but it felt extremely impersonal. It seemed too much like a business environment for us, which was quite an experience. The cost kept increasing which made it seem even more businesslike and inflexible. Despite this, the quality of care was excellent.

"Neglected Dad's Care at Sunrise Leads to Emotional Scars"
DO NOT CHANGE MY REVIEW. My dad was in the Memory Care unit at Sunrise of W.E. Third. On his third night, he fell. I'd told them not to leave him alone after he took his medicine. But they didn't listen. Staff found him collapsed on the floor. Two months later, right before he sadly died, the higher-ups - the director, the head nurse, and the memory care coordinator - tried to kick him out because I said 'no more drugs.' Communication is terrible between staff, nurses, and bosses. I could keep going, but thinking about my dad's final days at Sunrise makes me upset. I blame myself for letting him stay somewhere where they didn't care enough. I'll add more about their disgraceful actions when I can.

"Mixed Experience, Mostly Nice"
For the most part, it's been great. Communication in some departments, especially medical/nursing, could improve. My loved one finds the food okay, but they serve a lot of meat. So she mostly eats sandwiches. Overall, it's a nice place.

"Location Not Ideal"
Our family visited in person, and the tour was nice. However, the location didn’t quite match our needs.

"Friendly, clean, and caring community with memory care area."
This community is great. I recommend it for loved ones. Staff is friendly, and they care for residents. Clean and welcoming. Memory care has a fenced area.

"Think twice before choosing Sunrise for memory care needs."
I didn't think the review was fair. They said my mom would be fine, but she wasn't. The person in charge of memory care didn't know anything about medicine. The workers weren't caring at all; they just ignored my mom and blamed everything on her. We had to pay for every little thing, and it ended up costing us $30,000 in two months. It was a really expensive mistake. If you're thinking about Sunrise for memory care, try it out first.

"Assisted Living Review: Decent Room, Eager Sales Director"
Like Wayne. Room setup was alright. Sales Director was a bit too eager.
