"Assisted living was clean, but not suitable at the time."
The place was nice and clean, but not right for us.

"Mom loves it here and has made lots of friends"
My parents used to stay at home alone a lot, but because of age and too many falls, I needed to find a safe, nearby place for them. My mom is making lots of friends among the residents and staff—it's like a big family where everyone looks out for each other. Their room and laundry are taken care of. They have snacks, entertainment, party nights, games during the day, and day-trips. The staff and nurses work together 24/7 to keep everything safe and healthy. My mom always says, "I love this place." She’s no longer isolated, especially after losing her husband. She now has many friends.

"Mom's New Home: Friendly, Fun, and Safe"
My parents were living alone and not doing well, so I needed to find a safe, nearby place for them. My mom has made lots of friends among the other residents and staff—it feels like a big family where everyone looks out for each other. They handle the room cleaning and laundry for her. There are fun activities like snacks, entertainment, party nights, games, and day trips. The staff and nurses work around the clock to keep everything safe and healthy. My mom always says, "I love this place." She’s no longer isolated, especially after losing my dad, and now she has many friends.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility"
This place is alright overall. The lady who sold us on it said the food would be awesome, but honestly, it’s not that great. The building itself is pretty and well-maintained, which is nice. It’s always clean and looks good. Most folks living here need help remembering things, and they’re usually over 80 years old. There are a couple of younger staff who are super good with the people here and plan fun stuff for them to do. A lot of the workers come from different countries, and it seems like they don’t really get English all that well. They’re supposed to serve meals like a restaurant, but the helpers don’t seem to get it. They keep messing up orders because they don’t write them down, and sometimes they’re not very nice about it. The meals are usually overdone, not fresh, and kind of tasteless. You can ask for salt and pepper, but you gotta remind them. Some employees are really good at their job, but others are mean and shouldn’t be here. They’re working on getting better from what people tell them. They don’t knock before coming into your room; they just use their keys. And I’ve noticed they act nicer when someone’s family comes by.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
This place is okay overall. The salesperson said the food was good, but it's not. The place is nice, well-maintained, and clean. Most residents are older, mainly in memory care. Two young women are great with residents and activities. Many staff are from other countries and may not understand English well. They're supposed to serve like a restaurant, but sometimes mess up orders. Some kitchen staff are rude. Food is overcooked and bland; you have to ask for salt and pepper. Some staff are good, but some are rude and disrespectful. They're trying to improve based on feedback. They don't knock on doors; they just use keys. Attitudes change when family visits; they act kinder.

"Cozy, Victorian-Style Community with Great Amenities"
This place has lots of windows and natural light, making it feel cozy and homey. It reminds me of an old Victorian hotel resort. There are many sitting areas for residents and their families, and they even have a fireplace. They offer daily activities, and the dining hall is set up like a restaurant with many food choices. They also have a separate, locked area for memory care.

"Improvements Needed, But Overall Satisfactory"
My family member hasn't been at Sunrise of Basking Ridge for long, but so far it's been okay. The building looks really nice, and there's a cozy feeling to the place. However, I think they could do better with taking care of people. Sometimes it's hard to talk to the staff, and I wish the nurses paid more attention. I'm hopeful things will get better as they get to know my family member better and what she needs.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Pricey but Supportive Care with Some Bumps"
This place costs a lot if you don't have insurance or a lot of money. They take care of you pretty well, though there are some issues sometimes. They try their best to support you.

"Expensive Facility with Poor Care and Constant Management Changes"
My family member stayed at this place for a long time, but we didn't have a good experience. There were big gaps in her care, and her doctor said they were really bad at getting back to him. This place was also really pricey, and by the time she left, they had added so many extra services that the costs were sky-high. Even though we paid a lot, the facility didn't have any 24-hour medical staff, just med techs at night and in the evening. They also seemed to change managers a lot. There was a new director every year, which was really unsettling for everyone there. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"Overpriced Facility with Poor Care and Constant Management Changes"
My family member stayed at this place for a while, and we didn't have a good experience. There were lots of issues with her care, and her doctor told us that they were really bad at responding to him. On top of that, the place cost a lot and by the end of her stay, they added so many extra things that the bill was through the roof. Despite the high cost, there was no 24-hour medical team, just med techs in the nights and evenings. They changed directors a lot too, which really messed things up for the whole community. I wouldn't advise anyone to pick this place.

"Very Welcoming Community"
We visited this place while considering options for Mom. The people here were super friendly! The staff was nice, and some residents chatted with Mom during the tour. The community looked good, but it was too far for us.

"Very pleased with this community."
They have a really nice place—it's clean and well-maintained. We chose it because we knew they could take good care of Mom, even with her specific needs. Consistent care is a priority, and Sunrise delivers. The staff knows Mom's routine, no matter the day or shift. My only complaint is that sometimes they overlook small details—I've had to wipe down Mom's wheelchair due to dust when I visit.
