Sunrise of East Brunswick

"Navigated placement process successfully."
My family and I are getting used to the facility, and the staff is incredibly helpful. They've listened to our concerns and answered our questions. A Place for Mom and Sunrise have guided us well through the placement process.

"Overall positive experience; caring staff, good facilities, occasional service issues."
The resident generally likes it here. Staff care and try hard. The building looks nice and stays clean. Food’s mostly good, but sometimes slow. Menus might not match what's served. Care managers do a lot, like serving food and helping residents. Sometimes, the elevator to the 2nd floor gets crowded with walkers and wheelchairs. Nurses are helpful during the day, but nights and weekends have less coverage—just med techs delivering meds. Costs can be high, especially with additional care needs. Activities vary onsite.

"More modern but less personal and pricey."
We visited Sunrise of East Brunswick, and it was nice. The staff were friendly and knew a lot. The place looked modern. They weren't as personal, though, and it cost more, so we went elsewhere.

"Disappointing Tour Experience at Sunrise of East Brunswick"
I didn't really like Sunrise of East Brunswick. The person who was supposed to give us the tour didn't come. Instead, the financial director gave us the tour. She did well, but you could tell it wasn't her usual job. I tried to contact the original tour guide again, but she never responded. That was disappointing.

"Expensive Facility with Poor Service and Lost Personal Items"
This place takes heaps of cash but only pretends to be kind when they're trying to convince you to join. Plus, the person at the front desk is really not nice. When we moved my mom out, she forgot her glasses and a footrest for her wheelchair. I kept calling back about them for three weeks but no one called me back. Eventually, a friend went and picked them up for me, but they gave him the wrong pair of glasses.

"Kind staff, cozy place, but pricey; disappointed about cost difference."
The manager was really nice. Sunrise is nice and cozy. I wanted to sign up, but the prices on the website and what I was told were $2400 apart. I'm bummed because I don't think my mom can afford it.

"Nice place overall"
We've had a great experience with Sunrise of East Brunswick. They're really careful in how they treat their residents, always ready to help. They stay in touch with families and don't hesitate to call if anything comes up. The only downside is that it's expensive. Mom also likes the food!

"Clean and Friendly, But Not for Us"
This place is nice. It's clean, friendly, and welcoming. But it's not what we are looking for. I don't have anything bad to say about it.

"Quiet, homey feel with friendly staff, but unclear pricing"
One thing I really like about this community is how it’s set up. It’s far from the road, so even though you’re in the city, it feels quieter and more like the country. You get the benefits of nearby shopping and dining, but without the city noise. The staff are super friendly and great at comforting residents who need it. The place feels very homey, with a building layout and front porches that make it seem like you’re visiting someone’s house. The rooms are set up nicely, with shared spaces like the bathroom and kitchen, but two separate bedrooms for privacy. I haven’t seen this in other senior communities. My only worry is the pricing. I feel they haven’t been very clear about the costs, and the price has already gone up since she moved in. They could be more upfront about the pricing.

"Size Matters: Not the Right Fit for Mom"
The place was pretty good overall, but it wasn't my favorite because it was bigger than another place I saw. It just didn't feel like the right fit for my mom.

"Bigger Facility, Slightly Outdated"
It was okay. This place is big and has nurses. If you fell or got hurt and needed more help, they'd move you to another part. The building seemed old, maybe it was a hotel before. They might fix it up soon.

"Excellent Assisted Living Facility!"
This place is awesome. It's set up really well. Everybody seemed involved and cheerful. The workers seemed like they knew their stuff. It's a gorgeous spot. The Executive Director is both skilled and genuine. If you've got a two-year spend down but no Medicaid, they'll assist you with finding a new place.

"Inviting Atmosphere, Friendly Staff, Clean Facilities, Unfortunate Location"
This place looks really nice with pretty decorations and a nice setup. The people working here always seem happy, and there are lots of residents chatting and doing stuff together. They have fun things to do, too. My room is small, but it's cozy, and there's a cool Denver room to hang out in. Everything is kept really clean and tidy, which is great. Only downside? The location near Rt. 18 isn't so great.
