Sunrise of Morris Plains was a pleasant place. I appreciated the separate wing for Alzheimer’s/Dementia residents. The admissions lady was kind and helpful. The cost was a bit high for our budget.

We were warmly greeted at Sunrise of Morris Plains, and the tour was very informative. I really liked [name]. She was energetic, nice, and seemed to know every resident. The facility was great but not as new as the one we chose.

"Caring Staff and Engaging Atmosphere"
The staff are nice and helpful. Sometimes they seem a bit busy, but they're always available when we need them. The rooms are okay and fit our requirements. After Covid, they're making sure residents stay engaged.

"Great care and communication; excellent food and caring staff"
Our experience has been really good. Whenever I have a question or concern and leave a message, they always call me back by the end of the day or sooner. If something happens to my friend, they call me right away to let me know. I always know what's happening with her without having to ask. They keep me updated on their own. My friend says the food is very good to excellent. Although she hasn’t been able to join many activities, the Activities Director is great, very caring, and always interacts with everyone.

The boss and the doctors were bad at letting us know things. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"Bright and Cheerful"
Sunrise of Morris Plains felt like home, super tidy. Staff were nice and smart, answered everything. We wanted a happier place with newer memory care.

"Friendly Place with Room for Speedier Service"
This place was pretty cool. Right when you step in, people greet you with a smile and you feel right at home. Everything looks neat and tidy. We got to eat there once, and the food tasted great, though they could’ve brought it out quicker. The folks working there seemed like they knew their stuff. Plus, the place had all the stuff we wanted.

"Assisted Living Review"
This place cares a lot about helping everyone. Many folks here use wheelchairs or have trouble remembering things, so everything has to fit their needs. The food is okay, but not very exciting. There are fun things to do, but not many people show up. It's as nice as you decide to make it.

"Grandmother thriving at Sunrise of Morris Plains assisted living facility."
My grandma is really happy since moving to Sunrise of Morris Plains. She's getting used to everything, and the staff there is really helpful to her. I don't live nearby, but from our talks, everything seems to be going well, and we don't have any issues at this point.

"Aunt loves Sunrise of Morris Plains' food and friendly staff"
My 89-year-old aunt has only been at this place for 3 weeks, but she seems more alert and is standing up straighter. I call regularly, and she loves the food and activities. We had a rough move-in day, but the staff was very helpful, even keeping dinner warm for my family since we were late. My aunt was really against assisted living, but when we visited Sunrise of Morris Plains, she was impressed by the friendly atmosphere. She decided to stay there that day. Thanks for recommending this place. I’m telling everyone about it for my mom.

"Convenient and Friendly Assisted Living Community"
My mother-in-law is still getting used to her new home, and that's normal. We're giving her all the time she needs. Sunrise has been a good fit for us because it's close to her old home, so her friends can visit. It's also near her doctors, which makes things easier for us. The staff is friendly and kind, though I think communication with them could be a bit better. There are a lot of activities she can join when she's ready. The food is great, and there's a wide variety to choose from. This community works well for us. I recommend checking it out, but everyone's needs are different.

"Pricey but pleasant, not ideal for long-term care."
During the visit, Sunrise of Morris Plains seemed nice. However, it was too expensive. Plus, their Medicaid arrangement wouldn't suit my loved one permanently.
