"Caring and Convenient Assisted Living Facility with Excellent Staff Support"
Nice setting and clean facility with caring staff at all levels. Many experienced, long-term employees who are happy to work there. Communication is excellent and genuine, not just words. Staff often go beyond expectations in various situations. Housing and medical care for all needs are available in one place, so no need to move if health changes. Residents are friendly, and activities cater to most. Elevators accommodate those with mobility issues across five floors. Costs are higher with services a la carte, but manageable. Worth it for the quality of care and support received. Recommended for anyone seeking reliable care for loved ones.

"Care Facility Falls Short in Staff Attitude and Response"
This place wasn't very nice. My mom struggles to breathe. She has Alzheimer's and can't care for herself. They left her in a chair for a long time, making it hard for her to breathe. I asked a nurse to put her in bed, but she complained to the floor head. They treated me like I did something wrong, even threatening to ban me for asking a simple favor.

"Headline: Poor communication and lack of transparency at local care facility"
After years of looking after my mom through various long-term care facilities, hospitals, and rehab, she now needs even more care. Be careful when you look up facilities on the CMS website - a 5-star rating doesn't guarantee anything, but it's a starting point. Thanks to my previous experience, I knew what to look for during my visit to this facility. I know it was over the holidays, but it took me 10 days to hear back from them to set up an appointment. To make things worse, the reception didn't even have my name or appointment. When someone finally came to meet me, they told me I could only have a quick look into the rooms. Nobody from the food department was there and nobody could tell me how many nurses or aides are assigned to each patient. As part of my evaluation, I focus on how often the rooms are cleaned, the quality of the food (whether it's fresh or processed) and I like to talk to patients about their experiences. What I was able to see was that they have large rooms, offering a decent amount of privacy. I wanted to inspect the bathrooms for cleanliness as well. They need to be more transparent!

"Inadequate Training at Facility Disappoints for Dementia Care"
They claim they can handle dementia patients, but they can't. The staff isn't trained correctly. Dementia patients get better treatment in nursing homes with proper training, or at home with round-the-clock care.

"Assisted Living Choice: Nice but Concerns About Size and Fit"
This community was nice but not the right fit for my loved one's needs. Another place instantly clicked as perfect. The tour was informative. It's a nice community, but we worried it might be too big.

"Assisted Living Layout Too Complicated, Lacks Homey Atmosphere"
My family visited this place, and we weren't fans of how it's set up. It has too many floors and levels, which made it confusing. It felt more like a hospital than a home. It was really dreary and boring, not cozy at all.

"Great place with cozy apartments and caring staff"
We picked United Methodist Communities because it has more than just one room. She has a small kitchen and bedroom, which makes it feel like a cozy apartment. They also have a program where you can move from assisted living to memory care if needed. We also really like the location; it’s in a charming town. The staff are very friendly and truly care about the residents. I would recommend it to others who are looking.

"Mixed Experience at United Methodist"
Before we picked United Methodist, we visited other places. This one was really clean, and everyone seemed friendly and organized. The staff cared a lot about my mom. They were always on time and the meals were good. There were plenty of activities too. The only issue was the business office – their billing was confusing after my mom passed away.

"Top-Notch Assisted Living with Great Activities and Location"
My old fencing coach lives at CM. I've visited twice and found the place to be welcoming, clean, and modern with plenty of activities. They have a gym, chapel, pool table, barbecue area, parties, and many people chatting and enjoying themselves. The location is excellent, with beautiful parks nearby like Cooper River, and it's close to Philadelphia and major highways like 70 and 130. There are also shopping centers and restaurants around. It's great that they offer various levels of care, from Independent Living to Memory Care. After seeing several other places, I would rate this one as the best.

"Horrible Experience at Collingswood Manor for Elderly Relatives"
My family member has been at Collingswood Manor for 2 years and it's been a total disaster. Constant reminders to the staff are needed to get them to handle even simple tasks. To particularly point out, the management is unkind and disrespectful. They mainly keep the residents sedated with strong painkillers. It really makes me feel bad for those residents who don't have family to support them in this unacceptable and heartless place. If you truly care about your elderly loved one, you should never, ever let them stay at Collingswood Manor.
