"A Place for Mom Offers Crucial Support for Disappointed Family"
We chose Pitman Manor because it had a great reputation and was close to our home. But after one month, we were very disappointed with the care, administration, and overall atmosphere. The staff and administrators were surprisingly cold and uncaring. Fortunately, our contact at A Place for Mom, [name removed], was incredibly helpful and supportive during this tough time. When it became clear that my mother couldn’t stay at Pitman Manor, she quickly found alternatives and provided support.

"Costly Facility with Over-Salted Food and Basic Rooms"
This place costs a lot, and the food’s way too salty. Everyone working here is friendly, but it seems like they don’t really focus on our family member much. The activities are pretty cool; they make sure everyone has something to do. The rooms are alright, but they only have a regular chair, no comfy easy chair. You’d think with what we’re paying, they’d at least throw in a reclining chair.

"Incompetent Management and Unbearable Living Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
I wish I could give this place less than one star. For months, I've battled with their "top dogs" over multiple major issues. All they do is delay, confuse, and cover up their mistakes. They're just out to save their own skin, refusing to answer even simple questions. My parents' worst years were spent here - my dad even had to go through a toe amputation. The thermostats in the apartments are simply a joke. They're either freezing cold or boiling hot, which makes it nearly impossible to sleep. This heating problem has been going on for years. Despite being told twice in the last three months that "it's fixed," it's clear it's not. The cost to have them administer medication is beyond expensive, costing over a grand for each pill a year. Don't trust a word they say without checking first. I find them to be extremely dishonest. Even former employees have labeled the management as "two-faced swindlers.

"Avoid This Facility At All Costs"
Even one star feels too generous. I've been battling with their so-called 'management' for months about a slew of problems. It's been nothing but runaround and evasion, incompetence, dishonesty, and complete disregard to our concerns just to watch out for themselves. They refuse to answer simple questions. This place has turned the last few years of my parents' lives into a nightmare – my dad even had to have a toe removed. The heating system in their apartment is not working properly – it’s either freezing cold or unbearably hot, making it hard for them to sleep. This issue has been ongoing for years. Despite repeatedly telling me that the heating system is functioning properly, it clearly is not. On top of everything, they charge an insane fee - over $1000 a year just to distribute medications. Always double-check what they say as I found them to be highly unreliable. Even their previous employees labeled the management as "corrupt liars".

"So welcoming and feels just like home!"
When I first visited Pitman Manor, the staff was so friendly and helpful. I’ve seen other places with big, uncomfortable furniture, but this facility feels like home. Mom really likes it there. The food is really good too!

"Friendly Staff and a Great Place for Mom!"
I have to say that the entire staff at Pitman Manor is the friendliest I have seen at any facility. The room is very nice and just the right size for my mom. She really enjoys meal time, especially sitting with her new friends. Sometimes, my mom even tells me to leave before meal time so she can get to her table. Pitman Manor feels almost like an apartment complex, with added amenities and care.

"A Wonderful Home for Mom"
From the first visit with Pam, I knew Pitman Manor was perfect for my mom. When I brought her to see it, she liked it right away. It felt very homey. My mom moved in. Moving day was a bit rough, but everything worked out, and the staff was amazing! My mom had a tough couple of days, but with Pam’s reassurance, she is now very comfortable in her new home. The staff is very friendly, and I always get a greeting from everyone I pass.
