"Disappointed with Hidden Fees and Increased Charges at Assisted Living"

The people who looked after my mom did a pretty good job overall. But, I wasn't happy about the first fee they asked for after checking her at my brother's place. Then, a month later, they added almost dollars to the monthly bill. They said they realized she needed more help after she moved in. My brother had already told them he thought they didn't assess her needs correctly at first, but they said they did. Turns out, they didn't. It felt like they tricked us into agreeing, and I made sure they knew I was upset about it.

"Great Choice for Assisted Living!"

We chose this assisted living facility because of its location, the details we learned during our tours, and the affordable price. Availability also played a role. We’d recommend it to friends.

"Thankful for finding a great place for Dad"

The Woodbury Mews community was a great place for my father, and I'm so happy I helped him find it. I really appreciate A Place for Mom more than words can say.

"Disappointing Dining Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

My mom likes most things there, but dinners disappoint. Quality's poor, often frozen, veggies hard, pasta tough, soups cold. Rate hike too. Meals worse than school cafeteria. I buy extra food for her.

"Good experience, attentive staff, clean facility, and liked food."

My dad's experience at Woodbury Mews has been good. The staff is attentive, the facility is clean, and there are many activities. Communication with the family is good. The move-in process was hectic, but they adapted quickly. The food looks good, and residents seem to like it.

"Mixed Feelings, Communication Needs Improvement"

Our time at Woodbury Mews didn't meet all our hopes. I wish they checked our needs better and talked more.

"Woodbury Mews Review: Great Staff, Food Improvements Needed"

The staff is nice and helpful, and the building is well-kept. They provide rides for doctor visits, church, and shopping. The place feels welcoming. I’d give Woodbury Mews five stars if they improved the meals in the dining room. The menu doesn’t seem right for older folks—they should offer low-salt and low-fat options. A survey or advisory board would be a good start. Fast food places list ingredients and calories; that’d help people with health conditions.

"Assisted Living: Great Admin, Food, & Staff!"

This place is pretty good overall. The people in charge are really good at their jobs, the food is yummy, they can take you places if you need to go somewhere, and they really care about the residents. The staff always responds to emails and is ready to help out.

"Food quality declined, deceptive outward appearance."

My family's here. Food's bad after renovations. Look elsewhere.

"Representative"

We've had a great experience so far. The staff was very helpful throughout the process. We toured multiple times. was especially helpful. My mother is happy and feels safe in her apartment. She enjoys the nice mix of men and women there, which is a plus in senior living.

"Helpful Staff in Cozy Assisted Living"

Nice place, but smaller rooms than usual. Staff was super helpful and knew everyone’s name. Her friendly interactions with residents stood out. Worried the small rooms won’t fit both mom and dad.

This community provides excellent care. The staff are kind and very helpful. The dining area offers great choices for residents. The community is clean and well-maintained. I would recommend this place for a loved one's care.

"Field Trips, Activities, and Socializing!"

My mom loves living here! She joins field trips and activities, chats with others in the dining room, and enjoys the courtyard.

"Great place for Dad and friendly staff"

My dad lives in the memory care unit and he’s taking part in daily activities. They have a fun happy hour every Friday. The staff are friendly and supportive, and we communicate well. The place is very clean and well-maintained. Dad has made friends here, and I would definitely recommend it!

"Comfortable Assisted Living with Vegan-Friendly Kitchen Options"

I like the place I chose. They have vegan food. They've made vegan meals for me and I like them. I'm happy here and everything is okay. They do a lot of fixing up around here and there's not a lot of staff.

"Great place for my mom!"

This is a really nice community, and my mom is doing well since she moved here. I’m very satisfied with everything they’ve done for us. I know she is safe and in good hands. They have a great staff here, and they keep the place clean. The meals are nice, and there are fun activities for the residents. It has been a lovely experience for us in this community, and I would recommend it.

"Great Dementia Care and Activities at This Clean, Fresh Facility"

I really liked the special Memory Care section for folks with dementia, and how the nurses know just how to help them. The cook makes meals you can eat with your hands, which is great when some guests forget how to use forks and spoons. They keep everyone busy with lots of fun stuff to do, like gardening in the secured outdoor area. The place is kept really clean, and the rooms look cheerful and bright. Plus, they've fixed up a lot of spaces to look nice and new. The food variety is neat and always fresh. My family and I are really thinking about choosing this place.

"Great place with awesome staff and food"

The community is very clean and nice-looking. They have lots of activities. The food is made by a chef and tastes great. The staff is really nice. The location is good too. I would live here and recommend checking it out.

"Comfortable, clean, and caring, but odd shower policy"

Everything's been okay so far. The staff is nice and works well with mom. The place is always clean, and there's lots for residents to do, but mom hasn't joined in yet. One weird thing is that they won't give a shower if a resident refuses. Other than that, it's all good.

"A Pleasant Tour!"

The Woodbury Mews was a super nice place to visit. The staff seemed really happy to have us there. They even kept checking in on us to see how my loved one was doing. We didn't choose this community because my loved one wasn't ready for this level of care.

"Kind Staff but Facility Needs Major Improvements"

The people who showed us around were really nice and supportive. But, the place needs major improvements and upgrades. It was dark all over with an unpleasant smell. The furniture and carpets were also old. I didn't like this place much.

Clean, condo-style, activities offered, lacks outdoor space for gardening.

"Pleasant Visit at Woodbury!"

This community is pretty nice, especially for older folks. When we first visited, I liked what I saw. The staff we met were friendly. However, unlike the place we ultimately picked, here you have to pay separately for everything—it's not included in your monthly fee.

"Amazing staff who truly care and make everything easy!"

My mom has lived at the Independent Living facility for almost 5 years. We decided to move her to Assisted Living (Assisted Level 1) when her memory started to slip, and she had trouble remembering her meds and meals. I can't say enough good things about the amazing staff at both Independent and Assisted. Theresa, Denise, Nikki, and all the front desk staff have been wonderful. They were so nice and helpful in making the transition easy. I’m really glad Mom and I chose Woodbury Mews years ago. In today’s world, it’s hard to find a team that makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The team at Woodbury Mews always goes above and beyond. I would recommend this facility to anyone. 5 stars!

"Neglected Elderly in Care Facility"

I don't know who wrote those positive reviews for this facility, but my experience today left me shocked at the poor service. My mother-in-law, who's a resident there for five months, almost never complains about anything - she's 91 and stays cheerful always. But since being in this place, she's been dissatisfied daily. Just TODAY, she took a tumble down the front stairs. My sister-in-law rushed inside looking for help and ice, but she was told to get it from the kitchen. Shockingly, NO ONE CAME OUT to assist. Thankfully she's okay, though she has quite a few bruises.

"Immaculate place, fewer activities than Texas"

The place is super clean and really nice. It's beautiful and lovely inside. The activities aren't as many as the ones she had in Texas, though.

"5-Star Review with Suggestions"

We suggest an orientation for new residents to understand routines, schedules, and who to talk to for answers. We’d also like a medical alert button available for residents to wear. My dad has fallen several times and couldn’t reach the emergency cord in the room. A medical alert watch or pendant would provide easier access to help when needed.

"Great place with friendly staff and clean facilities!"

Woodbury Mews is a great place overall, and my loved one seems happy here. The facility looks nice, and they keep everything clean and well-maintained. I would give them top marks all around! It’s a pretty, clean community, and the staff have been really friendly and attentive.

"Took a Month to Refund for Unutilized Services"

My mom never stayed at the Mews. I had written a check for her stay and they cashed it before she even got there. When she didn't end up going to the Mews, it took them a whole month to give me my money back.

"Generally pleasing living facility, some improvements needed for satisfaction."

Woodbury Mews is generally a good place where my dear one appears satisfied, though there are a handful of problems that require attention. The establishment itself is aesthetically pleasing and they do a commendable job at maintaining its cleanliness. It's crucial to note that their independent living segment is fit for truly independent individuals because the rooms lack emergency call buttons. The staff are all very welcoming, yet, their supervisory team seems to often change. They could certainly enhance their approach towards maintenance matters and service requests. It feels like a real struggle to get things repaired. One has to constantly monitor to make sure tasks are accomplished. Another serious area they need to focus on is the food which is simply terrible. I have not received any positive feedback about it, be it from the inhabitants or visiting family members. Nevertheless, my dear one loves her apartment and seems to genuinely appreciate her time here.

"So grateful for the care at Woodbury Mews!"

My twin sister is living at Woodbury Mews after a serious health scare. She just found out that what she thought were allergies for years is actually advanced COPD and emphysema. We talked about it tonight. Under their care, she feels better than she has in years. So many people are helping her, making sure her needs are met and that she’s comfortable. She was admitted as a level 2 because she can do very little for herself right now. Along with the extra care, she’s getting three balanced meals a day—something she hasn’t had in years. As her sister, they have been very respectful to me and answered all my questions and concerns. They take everything seriously. Tonight, we both agreed—though there were some adjustments, we couldn’t be happier with our choice.

"Decent Facility but Preferable Options Available"

This place was pretty, staff were nice. I visited for a look-around. It was okay, but I preferred another place. This one cost a bit more too.

"Good Location but Lacks Mom's Preferred Homey Touch"

The place is in a good spot. We appreciated that it had different levels of care. We liked the tall ceilings and many apartment choices. But the apartments felt more like first-time apartments. Since mom always loved doing her own home decorating, we're not sure this place is right for her.

"Great value and very welcoming staff!"

I'm really impressed! I visited my brother yesterday. For $1,800 a month, he gets three meals a day. In Southern NJ, I couldn’t find anything like that for the price. It's independent living, not assisted living. The building looks about three years old inside, even though it’s around 100 years old on the outside. It’s very clean, and there are always events happening. The women we talked to were very welcoming and explained all the policies. They are also easy to reach by phone for any questions. My brother is 66, so he’s the youngest guy there by about 15 years!

"Great Community with Affordable Living Options!"

My father recently moved to a new apartment that costs a bit less. They still provide three meals a day, which are included in the rent. There are fun activities like card games, pool games, and some outings. The building is nice, and I was really impressed. My father has a small kitchen with a refrigerator, sink, and some cabinets. He can do his own laundry or pay the community to do it. The laundry room is just down the hallway, so it's very convenient for him.

"Cozy and Welcoming Assisted Living Option"

When I checked out the place, the workers were nice and gave me all the info I needed to think about Woodbury Mews for my mom. Everything looked great and tidy. The rooms are big, and I think anyone would feel cozy living there.

"Clean facility, but lacking in warmth and welcoming feel"

The place was neat and tidy. But, the tall building style wasn't for me. Also, I didn't sense much enthusiasm from them during my visit, because I was just checking out the place.

"Affordable Price and Onsite Doctor Visits"

The price was manageable. They offered onsite doctor check-ups.

"Excellent Facility for Seniors"

This place is really good. My grandma stays here and she loves it. The staff is nice and they take good care of her. She gets to do lots of activities and she says the food is yummy. Overall, it's a great place for older folks.

"Decent Spot, Spotless with Friendly Crew; Missing Homely Vibe"

Decent place, spotless with affable personnel; lacks domestic ambiance; has a desk welcoming area followed by a seating space; overall, it's alright.
