"Unprepared and Overpriced: A Disappointing Tour"
My friend and I visited this place and it was terrible. The person in charge didn't pay any attention to us and we faced a lot of interruptions. The cost was much more than we could afford. They had nothing to tell us. Plus, they had no open rooms and were just not ready to give a decent tour. We ended up choosing a different place.

"Visit Not Convenient; High Cost; Sales Pitch Felt"
I visited once. It’s far with traffic, hard to visit. Lots of staff, but expensive. Clean and organized. Felt like they were selling, not caring. Short on staff on weekends.

"Week-Long Bed Bug Issue at Palmilla: No Answers Given"
I'm pretty disappointed in Palmilla. We learned that my father-in-law's unit is infested with bed bugs. This happened a week ago, and now they're working on fixing it. We got just one call about the issue, but nobody seems interested in keeping us informed. Despite visiting twice, we're still left in the dark!

"Poor care and high costs at Palmia's memory unit"
I'm really upset with how my grandpa's been cared for in the past year at Palmilla. They keep upping the cost for "extra" care in the memory unit. He's fallen two days in a row and ended up in the emergency room today. This is the sixth time he's been rushed to the ER since November. The staff is clueless and just blames each other for what's happening.

"Mom, Nurse , Missing Meds - Avoid Palmilla Facility"
My mom stays here and is extremely dissatisfied with some of the things she’s heard about caregivers chatting in the place's laundry and living areas. Mom is scared, scared that medications aren't being managed correctly and that belongings are being taken from rooms! She and her buddies even chatted about a conversation they overheard in the laundry room involving two workers doing something they shouldn’t be. The new top nurse is full of herself and as warm as a soaked washcloth. I met her once and that was enough to indicate that my mother needs to move somewhere else. If you're thinking about placing a loved one into Palmilla, think again!

"Infestation Nightmare: Mom's Home Overrun by Bed Bugs"
The entire facility houses bed bugs in every apartment. My mom has voiced her complaints again and again with no solution. If this isn't addressed promptly, we'll have to shift her elsewhere.

"Exorbitant Rent & Excessive Staff Gossip Uncovered!"
The cost of living here is excessively high. Moreover, the employees have a tendency to engage in too much unnecessary chitchat. They assume that those who live here, along with their relatives, are oblivious to this. However, we are fully aware.

"'Higher Costs Outweighs Concern For Residents'"
Takes forever to respond when we call. The people in charge seem to prioritize increasing rent and care fees more than anything else.

"Ask Staff Retention"
I checked out quite a few places, and this was one of them. Many places have nice buildings and decorations, and this one was no exception. However, the people in charge seemed more concerned about keeping the rooms filled than taking good care of the residents. A lot of them don't want to take any responsibility. When you visit, be sure to ask how long the staff tends to stick around. It didn't feel very homey.

"Quality Went Downhill"
At first, they really went all out, and the food was delicious. But lately, things have gone downhill. The menu is super repetitive, and there aren't enough choices. That's my mom's biggest complaint. They promised to take her to doctor appointments, but now it costs $30 if it's over 10 miles away. I was really disappointed because the whole point is to help her when I'm working. Albuquerque isn't huge, so we have to go where the doctors are. I haven't seen them clean thoroughly; it's not dirty, but they miss those extra touches. The place looks beautiful, but they're not delivering on their promises. Overall, they're okay, but they're not as good as they were in the first month.

"Facility Fails Dementia Patients, Ignores Agreed Health Plan"
If your family member doesn't have dementia or related behavior problems, and isn't too noisy, it's a good place. But they can't manage seniors with dementia, even though their ads say they can. They waited until we were out of town to leave our parent at the ER, and then kicked him out, which was against the health plan we all agreed on. They didn't answer our many calls. We got the news from the hospital. The hospital is even filing a complaint with the NM Health Department about this 'Elder Dumping'. The hospital said they've done this before.
