"Neglected Residents and Poor Conditions At Assisted Living Facility"
This facility is dreadful, I would strongly suggest not allowing your beloved family members reside here. The employees display a lack of respect, and the pervasive smell of urine is hard to ignore. The well-being of the residents appears neglected. Staff members are rarely seen checking on individuals residing in the facility. Disturbingly, residents are left in their beds, motionless, for lengthy periods of time. Unkind treatment is extended to family members who make inquiries, with staff acting as if you’re an annoyance that has no place asking questions. The claim of an on-staff physician is misleading. The food served is routinely cold and unappetizing. Additionally, necessary repairs are not promptly addressed. To top it off, the facility endured an entire month without hot water! I don't have a single positive statement to make about this place.

"Owner's false promises lead to negligence in mother's care."
We chose Ravenna mostly because of the owner, He was really into taking care of Mom. We told [name] the owner that Mom is fussy with her food, and he said it was cool, the workers would cook something for her. Mom's got an old cat and said it wasn't an issue, they love cats. He even said there was a nurse and nurse practitioner on board, so we wouldn't have to keep going to the doctor. I think Mom saw, the nurse, about three times and then he was gone and never replaced. And for the 10 months that Mom was at Ravenna, she never saw the nurse practitioner once. Things started off pretty good for a couple of months, but then it took a nosedive. Whenever you tried to ask the manager, a question, she would get all defensive. I even asked about why didn't Mom was seen by the doctor/nurse practitioner, and then discovered that they didn't even have one. We realize things aren't always perfect, but her defensiveness just got worse over time and that was really bad for Mom's health. I can't recommend this place to anyone. They even ran out of hot water for a whole month there. I have so many more things to say, but to put it short, don't send your loved ones here. Now we have to spend time helping Mom adjust to a new home.

"“Caring Assisted Living at Ravenna”"
My brother stayed at Ravenna during the pandemic. It was tough for all of us. The caregivers were kind and patient. They encouraged my brother to join activities, and the other residents talked to him. The staff treated me like family. I liked the safe and friendly environment. When my brother passed away, the evening shift was very supportive. I visit often.

"Good tour, exit room not ideal."
Our family toured the facility in person, and it was a great experience. No complaints, but the available room next to the exit wasn't suitable for our loved one with dementia.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Our family member stayed at this place for a week of respite care. The place was clean, but it wasn't always well-maintained. The people in charge were nice and helpful until they got our payment. After that, they didn't answer our calls and didn't pay much attention to us. The staff was friendly while I was there. Our family member, who has Parkinson's, needed help with eating. But they would put him at a table for people who could eat by themselves. They just didn't listen to us. We paid extra for a two-person lift, but he only got a one-person lift. And if he needed help at night, he didn't get it. It was a disappointing experience.

"Mixed Experience in Assisted Living: Great Staff, Declining Food Quality"
My folks stayed here together. Clean place, awesome staff! They cared, took job seriously. Owners were nice too. Food was tasty initially, but after 3 to 3 1/2 years, it went downhill. Lots of staff changes. Caretakers were excellent despite high turnover. They looked after my parents really well. Dad had dementia, but they handled it. No place is perfect, but this was one of the best I could find.

"Ravenna's Lack of Care and Staff Leads to Tragedy"
It's been one year since my mom died. She lived at Ravenna for just a little more than a month. I firmly believe that the poor care at Ravenna led to her passing away. The place looks clean and they seem to say all the right things, but that's all it is - empty words. They don't have enough staff to properly look after all the people living there and they just don't seem to care.

"Avoid This Facility: It Cannot Be Trusted With Loved Ones"
This location is truly dreadful and I wouldn't advise anybody to choose it. Namely, the employees they employ here are questionable. I wouldn't trust them enough to even leave my pet dog. Honestly, be cautious when considering this place for your loved ones.

This place is dreadful. I wouldn't vouch for it to anybody. This is who they hire? I'd be too scared to even leave my dog here. I mean it, keep a keen eye on your loved ones.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My sister-in-law stayed at this place for a while. She didn't like the food, and there were many staff changes, making it hard to keep track of them. However, [name removed] was very helpful. The new owners were an improvement over the previous ones. [name removed] was also supportive. The care provided was not always satisfactory. My sister-in-law was frequently hospitalized during her stay. She suffered from UTIs frequently. The last time she was hospitalized for about 12 days due to a UTI and a cellulitis infection from her leg brace rubbing. She never returned to Ravenna. She misses her private room, which had plenty of space for her motorized cart.

"Decent, but needs improvement"
My sister-in-law stayed there for a long time. She didn't like the food, and there were always new staff, which made it hard to keep track of them. [Name] was very helpful. The new owners were better than the old ones. [Name] was also helpful. The care wasn't the best. She was in the hospital a lot with UTIs and other infections. One infection from her leg brace put her in the hospital for 12 days, and she never went back to Ravenna. She misses her private room because it had lots of space for her motorized cart.

"Overpriced facility with added charges, not meeting individual needs"
The workers were nice here. Still, this place didn't suit my mom's demands. The principles prices were too high and they made extra charges for everything. We needed to call an Uber to reach doctor's appointments. Simply put, it wasn't what we wanted.

"Much Improved Care"
Ravenna Assisted Living is a tidy, well-maintained community. Initially, there were medication issues, but now she’s doing much better. She enjoys activities like knitting and painting, and the meals are great. Despite the distance, the staff keeps us informed about her care.

"Caring staff, fun activities, and a safe environment."
My aunt is diabetic and can’t move much. The Ravenna staff is caring and kind. I’m happy many caregivers have worked there for years, so there’s not much turnover. My aunt thinks the food is okay. She enjoys the fun and varied activities, has made friends, and feels included. She likes meeting people, which has made her transition easier. Overall, Ravenna is a good, clean, and safe place for my aunt. Thank you!

They don’t seem to have many new people coming and going. My aunt thinks the food is okay. She enjoys the fun and different activities. She’s made friends and feels included. She loves meeting people, which has made this change easier for her. Overall, Ravenna is a great, clean, and safe place for my aunt. Thank you.

"Issues with Call Button Response, but Clean Facility and Good Care"
My mom is doing okay, and she just started physical therapy. I enjoy the activities they offer. The only issue we’ve encountered is that when she presses the call button, nobody responds. I had to call the community and let them know they’re not answering her pager. Sometimes, they haven’t brought her dinner even after she pressed the call button for help to the dining room. The director is aware of this problem, and we’re waiting for improvements. On the bright side, the facility is clean, and my mom is receiving care.

"Caring Assisted Living Facility Offers Comfort and Joy for Residents"
Ravenna is a neat and sunny place. My grandma loves the outdoor courtyard and spends a lot of time there. The caregivers are patient and really care about the people who live there. The owners made it easy to move her to the facility.

"A great place I’d recommend for loved ones."
Mom stayed at Ravenna for a short break, and she really enjoyed it. She got along well with the staff and even grew fond of some of the caregivers. I liked the owners and appreciated how well they communicated with me. They offer many fun activities. It’s a clean and modern place where I’d be happy to have her.

"Unpleasant Visit to the Distant Assisted Living Facility"
This place had an unpleasant odor, almost like a hospital. It looked like many residents spent their days in bed. Plus, it's situated too far away from us.

"Mixed Feelings About Maplewood Assisted Living"
The people who work here are really nice and caring. They remember your name and even know your family. The food is okay but sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not so good. They used to have a lot of things to do every day but now that the person who plans the activities left, there's not as much to do. The place is always clean and looks nice.

"Very Pleasant Community"
My father's time at Ravenna was pleasant. The staff were kind, helpful, and made his adjustment to the community easier. The only issue was the food—it could be better. Overall, the owners were very kind and supportive. While they couldn't provide the care my father needed at the moment, it was still a nice place.

I think the whole experience has been really good. They had a bit of trouble keeping up with her medications and daily routines, but I have a high opinion of the owners. They’re always working on solving problems and setting up systems to keep everything running smoothly.

"Assisted Living Made Us Feel Like Family"
We thought Ravenna was very friendly, clean, and just the right size for an assisted living place. They welcomed our whole family, not just my mom. When we moved her in, they made sure she felt at home, took extra care to make her comfortable, and told us to call to check on her in the next few days. Everyone made us feel so good about leaving my mom with them that I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
