"Very Happy Living at Taos Retirement Village"
My mother-in-law has been living independently at Taos Retirement Village for over a year after moving from Oakland, CA, to be closer to us. She absolutely loves it there! She enjoys eating lunch at the bistro and participating in the many activities. The residents are super friendly and welcoming. The staff is caring, helpful, and really pays attention to the residents' needs. The owners of Taos Retirement Village are always working to improve the community. It's such a relief knowing she’s safe and living in a positive place!

"Pretty Place, Terrible Management: Residents Not Happy"
The place sure looks neat, but the people living there weren't happy at all with the team running the show. They were upset by all the mess made by the folks at the top who didn't seem to care much about having enough workers. Stuff like constant changes in the leadership team, low staffing at the nursing home, and too many executive directors coming and going. They told me they were promised a relaxing place to live, but ended up loud and clear about how much stress living there puts on them. Such a pity; it could be a treasure in the middle of Taos, but I wouldn't want my mom and dad dealing with that kind of trouble.

"Inconsistent Care and Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
Some of the nurses aren't trained well. Communication lacks, shifts change. The place isn't dirty, but needs better cleaning. Dirty carpet. Young CNAs, lacking attention to detail. Not thoughtful, need training. Management doesn't communicate well. Understaffed. No activities for mom.

Staff need better training for patient care, communication, and consistency.
