"Assisted Living Facility Feels Like Luxury Hotel"
This place is really nice. When you walk in, it's like you're at a fancy hotel. It feels cozy and friendly. My aunt seems happy there. Moving from another state was hard for her, but she's starting to get used to her daily routine. The staff are communicating better with me now, too.

"Communication lacking, but staff caring at Legacy Santa Fe."
My family member stays at The Legacy at Santa Fe. The people who take care of them, clean the place, and greet guests are all great. However, they don't talk to us much.

"Mixed Experience at The Legacy Assisted Living"
The Legacy is great for those who need a lot of help. Make sure it's what your loved one wants. Residents don't handle their own money, so outing costs are added to the monthly bill. No shopping trips, just simple activities. We chose it for the location and beautiful views, but that didn't make Mom happy.

"Facility's Mismanagement and Neglect Endangers Resident"
We face many unexpected costs at this assisted living facility that were not discussed during our tour or initial meetings. The leasing agent seemed purposefully vague about certain services being covered, only to disclose later that they weren't. Our Aunt's small dog, which she was charged a hefty fee to have walked multiple times a day, was seldom given proper exercise. We bought pee pads to help with cleanliness, but they were often left unchanged for days, making her space unlivable. When we raised these issues and highlighted missed care opportunities, we were always promised improvements, supposedly due to staffing problems. But nothing improved. Our aunt’s health and mood declined rapidly over the year. The Executive Director failed to ensure that our numerous concerns were addressed. We had to move her out to protect her health.

"Needs More Outside Activities"
It seems like there aren't many outside activities. For example, the residents should be taken weekly to a grocery store to buy things like toothpaste, toilet paper, and body care items. I'm talking to them now to make this better.

"Mixed Review: Great Technology, Room for Improvement in Care"
The Legacy at Santa Fe is a pretty place with advanced tech for residents. They use wristbands instead of keys, which is convenient. The tech system looks like a wristwatch and is the best I've seen at places like this. But, there are some issues with promises and care. Handling medications has been tricky. Thankfully, my mom can talk to staff if there's a problem. Bathing help has also been inconsistent. Since Covid, they said things would get better by February/March, but they still lack daily activities. Other places had more games and fun like bingo and drumming. The Legacy has fewer activities and struggles to keep residents engaged. I've told them my concerns in person and in writing. They're trying to fix things, but they're not meeting my expectations for the price. Also, they charge a high pet fee that they don't mention upfront, unlike other places.

"Mixed Staffing but Beautiful Facility with Nice Rooms"
The facility looks great, with very nice rooms. Sometimes they seem short-staffed, but the existing staff are fine. Overall, they're doing a good job, though there's room for improvement.

"Nice and affordable, but needs more staff"
This place is nice and the cheapest around. I think they might not have enough staff. The women staff are good. My loved one had an issue with a male staff member being too rough, but everything else has been fine.

"Understaffed Chaos at Assisted Living Facility"
Our family visited an assisted living facility in person, and it felt a bit chaotic—like the saying 'one flew over the coo-coo's nest.' The place seemed disorganized, with everyone wandering around. Despite being a newer and nice facility, we noticed they were seriously understaffed. Even the manager who gave us the tour mentioned that some workers had called in that day, resulting in a free-for-all.

"Promises broken, staffing issues, safety concerns; avoid this facility."
My friends moved in 17 months ago, promised much, got little. Few activities, confused residents wandering, staff turnover high. Rough handling, short showers, rude aide, good food, lovely building, but staffing issues. No nurse at night, safety concerns, no planned activities. Don't move here.
