"High Staff Turnover Worries Residents"
The staff is super friendly, but I wish they gave more info to new residents about procedures. They were our only choice within our budget. Our biggest worry now is the high employee turnover in just 2 months.

"Mixed Experience at Avamere"
My dad stayed at Avamere at Cheyenne. It's good for people who can move around easily. We thought they'd take care of him fully, but they didn't. My sister and I looked after him while he was on hospice. Staff changes were a problem. Most caregivers were kind to my dad. Other residents seemed happy. Maybe I should've checked out group homes.

"Price discrepancies, ensure documented agreements. New staff need training."
Make sure to have all the prices and payments written down before signing anything. Our sales manager seemed new and wasn't organized during our tour. Avamere was still our pick, but it ended up costing more than we thought because of extra expenses we forgot to note.

"Avamere at Cheyenne: A Pleasant Experience"
Avamere at Cheyenne is nicer than other places I've seen recently. They're adding a new wing soon. The only issue we had was with billing, but it's resolved now. Just watch the charges.

"Friendly Guide, Some Concerns"
Our guide, went above and beyond during our tour. She explained not only about Avamere but also what to look for when touring other places. She’s still in touch with us, which is great. However, for our family member’s needs, Avamere wasn’t the right fit due to the smoking section and smaller elevator.

"Great staff and care despite Covid challenges"
When my mom first moved in, she had to quarantine for 10 days because of Covid. Soon after that, they had to shut down due to an outbreak, so things were rough at first. But the people there are great. All the staff members are super responsive, available, and very friendly. They had fewer staff for a while because some were sick, but now they seem to be back in full swing. I thought they handled those Covid challenges the best they could, and they always have a great attitude. My mom loves the cleaning guy. He leaves her place spotless, which she appreciates. The staff, in general, have gone above and beyond for her, especially when we weren't allowed to go in and help. I definitely feel like we found the right place for her. She's really happy. It's just that Covid has been really hard.

"Amazing experience with an outstanding representative for assisted living!"
We met with twice while choosing a place for my parents. She was amazing! Out of eight places we checked out, she was the friendliest, most professional, and most knowledgeable person we talked to. I can't say enough good things about her!

"Staff Exceeds Expectations in Every Way"
The staff at this assisted living facility has blown me away! They're giving my dad top-notch care and paying close attention to his needs. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they stepped up. My dad raves about the food, and the grounds look great. The only tiny suggestion I have is that the carpet could use a good cleaning. We chose this place because of its excellent care at an affordable price. I highly recommend it to others!

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Community"
We visited this place to check out care options. The workers didn't leave much of an impression on us. It wasn't exactly the atmosphere we were looking for. The place seemed alright, but it could use a few tweaks here and there. They did have some activities for the residents who were interested. Maybe families should give it a visit for their loved one's care.

My family member is still getting used to being there, and she's doing fine. She enjoys playing bingo, and the staff is really friendly. The only thing I wish they'd improve is giving us more notice when her medication is running low. Overall, they're taking good care of her, and it's been a positive experience.

"Avoid This Nightmare Facility: It’s a Depressing and Disheartening Place"
This assisted living facility was a total downer. Almost everyone, like 98 percent, didn't seem to have a smile on their face, just sad looks. I wouldn't consider putting even my worst enemy there. A close friend of mine stayed there and she just sunk into depression real quick. For activities, there was barely anything for them to do, besides bingo and a few others. Not to mention, my friend's personal belongings started to disappear, including jewelry, money, her purse with IDs, cash and a bunch of her clothes. She lost a treasured picture of her brother I'd hung up for her, it was kinda big. The bed linens were dirty and so were the official records. They accused her of losing a check and tried to charge her $250, and even threatened her with eviction. They went ahead and showed her group homes where a dozen people lived and four shared a bedroom, without even asking anyone. They sent her bills without any itemized charges and, even when we asked for clarity, still didn't provide any. I whisked her away from there as fast as I could. Now, she's living with me and I see her she's back to her happy self. Don't do this to the people you love- don't make them stay there.

"Super staff and highly recommended!"
The staff are quick to respond when my mom needs assistance. They are attentive, and we have good communication with them. When we first came to this community, the entire staff came up to us, said hi, and introduced themselves. There are many independent residents for my mom to interact with. The food is good, and they keep the community clean. They offer daily activities that my mom enjoys participating in.

My friend needs more things than I knew about. All her money goes to rent and care charges. I'm trying to get VA benefits for her medications. She needs more services than they assessed her for. She gets help with bathing, confusion, and medications. She eats good meals and doesn't complain. We picked this community because it was the first one with a room available.

"Required Upgrades: Healthier Food and Larger Meal-Time Staff"
They should give the folks healthier meals. They also need more workers around during meal hours. Keep in mind, the folks in there are mostly old, can be grumpy and might have off days. The workers need to be tuned into that.

"Pet-Friendly Place with Average Food and Ample Parking"
I think the cost isn't bad for what you get, but there might be better deals out there. They're making changes to the food, and I'd rate it as average. There's plenty of parking, and we like that we can keep our two dogs here. We really don't participate in the activities they have.

"Mediocre Assisted Living Experience with Potential for Improvement"
It's alright. The staff's friendliness varies on the day and who you're speaking with. I have to request someone to help move my chair, but more often than not, I'm left doing it on my own. They don't have enough staff and assign too many duties to them. They offer a few decent activities but not as many as other places. The food is decent, but not great. They need to do better overall. The place is being sold and there are new people getting settled. They're trying, but it'll be a while before things are set right.

"Glad to Have Moved On"
I was a resident at this place for around a year and a half. I ended up going to the hospital, and when I was finally recovered and ready to return, I was denied by the head person in charge. She said she wouldn't have let me in the first place if she had been there when I first applied. I've since moved to a better facility, but I really miss the friends I made there. The food is just okay, and I've decided I'll never go back.

"Affordable, Convenient Assisted Living, Upcoming Renovations Expected."
He doesn't require extra care that costs more each month. Doctors are able to perform checks there and take Medicare payments. There's going to be some new building work going on soon. The place is 13 years old with a total of 150 beds for assisted living and also has 30 private apartments. Most of the residents are women. The food is decent. The facility has two floors and an elevator but no smoking is allowed on the second floor. They request that residents bring their own furniture for shared rooms. Laundry gets done once a week. For us, it's located in a convenient spot.
