"Staff Efficient, Promises Not Kept: Average Assisted Living Experience"
The assisted living place wasn't like they said it would be. The workers do their jobs okay.

"Brookdale Las Vegas: Caring and Inclusive"
Brookdale Las Vegas seems like the only place nearby that can take good care of [name removed] and lets me be with her. Because of Nevada rules, a hospice company has to help the Brookdale staff.

"Mixed Experience, Happy Loved One"
They have Art and Bingo activities, but the sign-up process was tough. They charged unexpectedly despite the free month promise. Still, my loved one is content, which matters most.

"Mixed Feelings about Communication and Activity Engagement in Assisted Living"
Overall, this place seems okay. The problem is, for a small community, there's not enough communication. I expected better since it's small. They offer activities, but they don't encourage residents to join as much as I hoped.

"Limited Memory Care Activities Disappointing Experience"
The place didn't let folks in memory care wander around freely, which was a big downer for us. It ranked second from the bottom on our choices.

"Unimpressed with Parking Lot Tour During Covid Closures"
We visited during the Covid closures, so we couldn't go in the building. I didn't like the way they managed the situation at all. They just set up a couple of chairs in the parking lot for our discussion. The whole tour was done in the parking lot. If they couldn't let us inside, they should have offered a virtual tour instead." .

"Mixed Feelings on Covid Handling, Otherwise Excellent Assisted Living Facility"
It's a good, well-kept place. My main worry about Brookdale is how they handled Covid. I think they're trying hard, but some decisions caused problems for new residents. Normally, I'd give them 5 stars. However, some choices from upper management could have been better. We chose this place for security and stability, but our loved one was suddenly moved to another room without much notice, feeling scared and upset. Now that they're back in their original room, things are going better. The caregivers are going above and beyond and doing a great job.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Multiple Aspects"
My friend and I didn't like this place much. It felt too much like a hospital. We didn't feel close to any of the staff we talked to. The food options were plain and reminded us of hospital meals. The decorations weren't to our liking. Plus, it cost more than other places we checked out. The only good thing was the bigger one-bedroom apartment.

"Thank You for Caring and Compassionate Support"
Brookdale Las Vegas did an amazing job making my mom’s life comfortable. The staff was really attentive and provided kind care for her in her final hours. They helped her settle in and get the comfort she needed. I want to thank everyone who made this transition smooth for us.

"Clean, bright, and friendly place for Mom!"
This place is very clean and bright. Most places feel too dark, but here, it’s open and welcoming. The staff is super friendly, and the residents seem happy. If all goes well, this is where we’d like to bring Mom.

The care here is great. The staff are nice and really look after the needs of everyone. The place is always clean and a pleasure to be in. We like the menu, though it could use a few small updates. There are always activities for residents who want to join in and be social. We’d definitely recommend this community for the care and the value.

I visited this community, and I don’t have any complaints. The staff and residents were friendly and seemed happy in their living environment. They offered many great amenities and activities throughout the week. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the right fit for my mother in the end.

"I recommend everyone to consider Brookdale Las Vegas!"
When I first walked into Brookdale Las Vegas, I noticed how bright, clean, and open the place was. Then, I saw how friendly, helpful, and kind everyone was. There isn’t just one person to ask for information; they all know a lot, and if they don’t know the answer, they will look it up for you.

"Restaurant quality food!"
My father stayed here for respite care, and it was great. The medical staff was wonderful. The food was the best part! I tried Cornish game hen with cabbage while I was there, which I don't usually eat, and it was excellent. The chef even meets with residents to ask how he can improve. I would move here if I could!

"Thank You Brookdale Assisted Living"
My experience at Brookdale has been a blessing for my uncle and me. They have gone to great lengths to provide care and help for him. His care has been their top priority from day one, unlike other places we've dealt with during his assisted living journey. Their first concern is always passionate care for their residents. My mind is at ease knowing he's in the best of care. Thank you, Brookdale, for your concern and passionate care. When my uncle found out he was going back to Brookdale from a skilled nursing facility, he smiled like he hadn't in a long time. Thank God for Brookdale and their great staff in Las Vegas, NV.

"Disturbing management and ruthless fee hikes at Brookdale"
Ever since Brookdale took over Emeritus assisted living in March 2014, it's been a complete disaster. My mom had been staying there for almost four years, leaving in January 2016. The two years Brookdale managed the Las Vegas facility were horrendous, with countless complaints lodged with the state health department. Check the numbers on statistics.Health.nv.gov, and you'll see this facility's gotten numerous citations from the state for subpar performance. Between March 2014 and February 2016, six different directors came and went without warning, resulting in no consistent oversight and no solutions for complaints from residents and their families. The worst part is Emeritus' relentless pricing scheme. My mom's rent skyrocketed from $1050/month to $1898/month by January 2016. She signed a lease in November 2015 that hiked her rent to $1759. Then on January 1st, 2016, she got a rent bill for $1898! Emeritus refused to explain when we called, then had the nerve to charge her a $250 late fee for the initial lease amount (which she paid on January 3rd, 2016 for $1759). She was totally caught off guard by the rent increase to $1898 on 1/1/2016. When we requested a meeting with the center director, she defended Emeritus' practices. Just a short week after, she was fired. Brookdale proves itself to be a ruthless, atrocious company, exploiting our nation's seniors. It's alarming that there's so little federal supervision to safeguard and assist seniors living in facilitated environments.

"Avoid Brookdale: Terrible Assisted Living Facility in Nashville"
The officials have visited Brookdale Assisted Living three times this year. It's run by a big moneymaking company based in Nashville, Tennessee. There's not enough food during mealtimes, and they don't consider special diets like for diabetes. Also, their staff keeps changing all the time. It's a really gloomy and sad place. If you have other options, don't choose this place.

"Hard times with Mom's living facility"
Our time at this facility wasn't great. My mother never got comfortable and didn't enjoy her stay. I had problems with the management too. I was billed for things they didn't do and reaching out to them was tough. Nobody ever picked up my calls, or called me back.

Emeritus at Las Vegas gave my loved one excellent respite care! They welcomed both us and our family warmly. The facility is beautiful, and they take amazing care of residents. We got to try the food too, and it was great! We had a small hiccup with a missed hair appointment, and I’ve reached out a few times after we left but haven’t heard back. Overall, though, the care and facility were top-notch, and we had a great experience!g

"Friendly Staff, Clean, Minor Issue with Caregiver, Overall Positive Experience"
The folks at Emeritus at Las Vegas are really nice and easy to talk to. Overall, it's been a really good time here. We did have a small problem where we think one of the helpers was taking some money from Dad. Every time that person came by, Dad seemed to have a bit less cash. Emeritus believed us and gave the money back, which was good, but it was still worrying to see that happening. The place is mostly clean, but I think Dad's room could be a little tidier.

"Nice Facility with Friendly Staff in Las Vegas"
This looks like a nice place in Las Vegas. My tour contact didn't show up for our meeting and I haven't heard from her about prices or anything. The head med-tech was very kind and gave me a thorough tour of the place (Thank you!). The Quality/Service Survey seemed to be an A, with all issues solved. The staff seemed friendly and the residents were talkative and active from what I saw.
