"Assisted Living Visit Disappointing, Felt Unwelcoming"
I visited The Seasons of Reno. I only saw the entrance and her room. They wanted to keep her isolated for a week when she moved in. They only showed me her room. I didn't like that she had to step up to get into the shower. It didn't feel welcoming.

"Facility Needs More Money for Staff and Upkeep"
For the short amount of time my family member stayed here, most stuff was pretty okay. The workers were amazing, even doing extra to make things work. But, there were parts that didn't live up to what we thought. My family member didn't like the food much and thought the place needed more attention in terms of keeping things neat and clean. The workers there did super well even though there wasn't a lot for them to work with. It seemed that the big bosses were cutting down on how much money the place got for workers and for keeping things nice and clean. Overall, the place is pretty good along with the workers, they just need more money for workers and other stuff.

"Avoid Brookdale, Northwest Reno; Unfavourable Living Conditions"
I spent almost half a year in Northwest Reno's Brookdale before I ended up moving to a different place for old folks. Honestly, I should've packed my bags sooner. The people in charge? Really stuck up. And the aides, they don't even bother pretending to care for those who live here. You're left hanging for an hour, waiting for them to respond, and when they finally do, they're not nice at all and look like they hate their job. The meal service? Awful. And let me tell ya, the only thing worse than the wait is the meal itself. Tastes terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I'd tell them to steer clear. If Northwest Reno's Brookdale is on your list, cross it off and keep searching. There are far better places out there that will be worth your money. This one isn't.

"Friendly Staff, Cold Food Overall Recommend"
I really like this place. The staff is friendly, and my Mom enjoys the care. She's safe here, and the nursing team is great. The facility is clean, but the food is always cold, even in the cafeteria. It seems they struggle to keep employees. Overall, I'd recommend this community.

"Good care, but food and staffing need improvement"
I really like this place. The people who work here are lovely, and my Mom enjoys the care. I know she is safe here, and the nursing staff is really good. It's a very clean place, but the only problem I have is with the food and staff. The food is always cold, even if you go down to the cafeteria to eat. Also, it seems like they have a hard time keeping employees. Don't get me wrong, all the staff here are really nice. I just think the care is affected because they have trouble with staff to resident workload. I would recommend this community.

"Outrageous Pricing and Discontent Looms over Brookdale Residency"
First off, let's be clear - this place is far too expensive. I was a resident for a full year and had constant issues with impolite caregivers. Sadly, it seemed there was no solution other than for me to pack up and move out, which I eventually did. With time, my disappointment in Brookdale's offerings only intensified. The quality of the food was frequently unsatisfactory. On a brighter note, the other residents were lovely and the environment was nice. However, my advice for those considering this place is to be extremely careful. Complaints seemed to pile up over time, and many residents found various faults. Perhaps some of this can be chalked up to human nature, but the frequent voiced concerns were definitely troubling. As I mentioned, by the time I left, I held a great deal of disappointment, especially considering the cost.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living: Limited Food Options"
I put my mom here and I'm unsure about her care. The helpers are doing the basics for her. She has IBS, so food choices are few. If she can't eat what's served, it's turkey sandwiches every time. That gets boring. The place is tidy. The management is okay, but not great. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. I'm searching for other options now.

"Adequate Care but Limited Meal Options"
I enrolled my mom in this assisted living home and my feelings are mixed about her treatment. The staff regularly attends to her everyday needs, which is reassuring. However, there are some issues, particularly with the limited meal selections. Since my mom has IBS, her food options are quite limited. If she cannot tolerate the appointed meal, she usually ends up with a turkey sandwich. This routine is far from ideal and feels monotonous. On a positive note, the facility is always kept neat and tidy. The management does the best they can with what they've got. Still, I can't comfortably recommend this place. I am currently exploring other alternatives for my mom at the moment.

"Unwelcoming Assisted Living Facility"
When I was searching for a place for my mom, I visited this facility. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed. The staff didn't seem happy to be there, and the facility felt large and overwhelming. The hallways were long and narrow, making it difficult for someone adjusting to a new environment. Overall, it didn't feel welcoming or cheerful.

"Not Exactly a Joyful Home"
When I visited this place to find a home for my mom, I wasn't too happy with what I saw. The people who work here didn't seem like they enjoyed their job, and I noticed this more than once. They seemed like they didn't want to be there at all. This place is big and it's kind of scary in a way. The hallways are skinny and stretch out a lot which might be tough for someone to get used to. It seems cramped and not very friendly. There's not a lot that looks happy or inviting about this place.

"Comfort and care for loved ones"
We are really happy with this community because the staff gives great care to the residents. The place is clean and well taken care of. We also like that they serve healthy meals. They have activities for residents who want to join in. We would recommend this place to other families for the good care and fair price.

"Sick Relative, Overcharging and Lack of Activities at Facility"
While our family member was there, they became seriously underfed. The staff didn't help them with eating or drinking water like we asked. Because of this, they ended up in the hospital for . Even though our relative had left, we received hefty bills from the facility. Plus, the only activity available is bingo, with nothing else on offer. We believe this place is a complete rip-off, a total sham. Even the hospital doctors did not want them returning to that terrible place.

"Brookdale - Beautiful But Deadly! Avoid!"
My Aunt was a resident at Brookdale - she jokingly referred to it as "Brookhell" - for a couple of months and got C-Diff, among other illnesses, during her stay there. Even the food seemed terrible. Unfortunately, her laptop went missing from her room at Brookdale while she was unwell in the hospital. It's a costly place, running at over $4,500 a month, and while it seems nice at first glance, it's actually a hotspot for sickness and doesn't quite provide safe living. Both my Mom and I fell seriously ill with stomach bugs after visiting my Aunt at Brookdale last autumn. Tragically, a few days ago my Aunt passed away from her battle with C-Diff. I strongly urge you to avoid this place at all costs if you truly care about the well-being of your senior family members.

"Great Place for Family Togetherness!"
It was a tough start, but my loved ones were just happy to be together in the same apartment. They really like the apartment itself, the layout, and everyone there seems very nice, which is always a concern. Everyone I’ve met has been professional but still friendly. The place is beautifully decorated, especially for Christmas. They offer activities and outings like concerts and movies.

"Top-Notch Assisted Living: Exceptional Care for Loved Ones"
I'm really pleased with how well they take care of my mom here. Everything's super clean, and we have plenty of meal options to pick from. Plus, my mom enjoys the fun activities and little outings they organize. It's great that they bring meals to her room when she wants to stay in. Finding this place quickly was a relief, and it's awesome that they let her keep her cat. I definitely recommend this place to other families because of the quality care and value.

I sincerely believe that my father is not receiving sufficient care at this facility! They continually give promising words, yet their actions greatly fall short! I earnestly hope to transfer my dad out of there immediately.

"Amazing Staff and Great Activities Make This Place Shine!"
The staff here is incredible; I would give them more than five stars if I could. Compared to other places, they stand out. There are plenty of activities, and they share the schedule daily, weekly, and monthly, making sure everyone knows what's happening. The food is pretty good too! I would love to see a little more care taken with the lawn, but they do a nice job overall. They even have a gardening club, which makes the place look beautiful. We also liked how it’s tucked away a bit. The staff is definitely the highlight, and they offer a shuttle service around the greater Reno area.

"Great Apartments and Lovely Dining Room with Caring Staff"
The facility was very big, with several stories and everyone had their own small apartment. The dining room downstairs was lovely, with nice tablecloths. There were always two dinner options, and the management helped serve the meals. They were very engaged with the residents, who numbered around 80. There was a memory care unit on the first floor, but I found it a bit gloomy. When my mom needed memory care, we chose a different Emeritus.
