"Friendly Staff, Some Challenges"
The staff is nice, but they sometimes ask you to adjust insurance and healthcare their way. There are plenty of workers, but occasionally it's hard to get the assistance you require. Overall, I'd suggest Desert View Senior Living.

"Attentive Staff, Older Facility, Concerns on Cleanliness"
If your family is involved in taking care of your loved ones, they will get more attention here. The staff is always ready to help when they can. Desert View isn’t as new as some other places I’ve visited, but it’s good enough for the people who live there. My brother-in-law has hospice care, so he gets extra help from their CNA’s three times a week. Most people living on his floor can do a lot by themselves. He eats special food in his room, but there’s a big menu for everyone in the dining room. The helpers come when residents call them, usually in 10 to 15 minutes. My biggest worry is how clean things are, which I think is okay but could be better.

"Friendly staff and happy residents, but food and showers need improvement"
Positive notes: The people and staff are super friendly. The residents always have something to do. There are many options to keep you busy. The residents all seem happy. The staff are very helpful and friendly to visitors. Not so positive notes: The food is bland. Hot showers are hit or miss, mostly cold.

"Mixed Feelings about Desert View Assisted Living"
My experience at Desert View was mostly positive until my loved one had to leave because the rent went up. The place always looks clean, but the apartments weren't cleaned well. They didn't have enough staff to clean properly. The staff were friendly, but the cost of care went up. They spent a lot of time organizing fun events for residents. One staff member even helped us find a new place. My loved one often ate TV dinners in their room because the community didn't always have their favorite foods and started cutting corners on meals when food prices went up. My loved one didn't join in everything because they usually prefer to be alone, but they enjoyed what they did participate in. When my loved one moved in, I thought it was a good value for the money. But with the rent increases and cleaning problems, it's not as good anymore. Despite the issues, my loved one wanted to stay because they made friends. However, when they wanted a smaller place to stay, the community said there were 15 people ahead of them on the waiting list, which I think is unfair.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Better Care and Communication"
My family member liked the food and dining room. But they need to do better with care and cleaning. The medical director should be more involved. They should also improve how they communicate.

This community is wonderful, kind, and compassionate. From the first impression to after mom moved in, the care team has been loving and attentive from day one. We don't think there's a better place in Las Vegas. The food and the chef are amazing too!

This community is awesome. Warm caring inviting community. This is the best resident care available. The entire staff is caring and happy to do their job. Everybody is just great, from the dining staff to the housekeeping and care team. There couldn’t be a better place to put a family member or loved one.

"The best care available!"
I visited this place to see how a friend was doing after she had lost her husband. While it has been a difficult transition from home life to assisted living, it's been a month and she has adjusted very well. She believes that the staff have made all the difference, and she socializes with the other residents regularly. She’s gotten much happier over time. I would say that this community is better than I expected, and I recommend families to see how amazing the care is. The facility is clean, the food is delicious, and my friend couldn’t be any happier.

"No Condolences"
When I looked for a home for my dad, I found a caring facility. The staff there were amazing, making my dad feel loved. Even when he went to the hospital, they welcomed him back warmly. The young people in the memory care unit worked hard and were patient. Sadly, my dad passed away in May, which was a tough time for our family. The memory care staff were great. However, I'm giving 3.5 stars because the facility management didn't offer condolences after his passing. Unlike others who cared for him, Desert View remained silent. It mattered to me.

I can’t say enough about the care and love at Desert View. As a registered nurse who visits many places, I can confidently say this one is among the best. Your family member isn’t just a resident; they become part of the family. I’ve seen wonderful acts of kindness here that show how much the staff truly cares.

My mother-in-law moved into Desert View in Fall 2017 and stayed until her passing. The staff really took the time to know and care about her. The caregivers were always gentle, especially when her cancer caused her so much pain. They were open to our questions, listened to concerns, and adjusted her care quickly whenever needed. They kept us updated about any changes they noticed. Near the end, they worked closely with hospice to keep her comfortable. She spent her final days in her own apartment, loved and at peace. The staff there will always mean a lot to us.

Overall, it was a great place and I would recommend it to anyone interested.

"Friendly staff, great care!"
Desert View Senior Living is clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and takes great care of my dad. They listen to our concerns and work with his schedule. He loves his room, especially the large closet. The food is good, but they could offer more diabetic-friendly options. He's still getting used to the new place, but he's enjoyed the activities. They provide transportation for shopping and outings. There are benches in the front and patios in the back for fresh air. I’d recommend this community to others.

"Nice And Quiet"
I'm still getting settled, but I think this community is just right for me. The location is great—it's close to all the places I shop, which is very convenient. The community itself isn't too big or too small; it's nice and quiet. I really love my spacious apartment; there's plenty of room for comfortable living. Housekeeping comes once a week and does a good job. The food from the dining room is okay. I've joined a couple of activities, and once I'm fully settled, I plan to participate in more.

"Convenient Memory Care at Senior Living Facility"
This senior living facility offers a helpful memory care wing. Seniors can smoothly transition to memory care if needed. The main senior area includes a small fitness room accessible to memory care patients. I take my wife there every day for short workouts on the exercise bike and other machines, which should help keep her physically healthy and mobile. Additionally, they arrange outings for memory patients to enjoy live entertainment shows in the assisted living area.

"Best Staff and Care Around!"
I can’t say enough great things about Willow Creek. My mom has been here for two years now, starting with the daycare and respite program before moving in full-time. The staff guided me through every step, especially when I struggled with accepting that Mom needed more care than I could provide at home. I’m not usually one to write reviews, but people should know how much the staff truly cares about both the residents and their families. Thank you, Willow Creek—I couldn’t have done this without you and your amazing team! A++++

"Great Choice for Assisted Living Care"
I moved my mom to Willow Creek after a lot of thinking. The staff was super friendly and helpful. June really stood out, making sure my mom was comfortable and safe. When mom started wandering and got lost, the staff quickly found her and brought her back. Unfortunately, she needed more care than they could provide, and memory care was too expensive. So, we took her home with us. I have zero complaints about Willow Creek. I'd definitely recommend it!

"Willow Creek: Warm Staff and Personal Care Outshine Facility Issues"
Willow Creek is a pretty cool place. What makes it good is the kindhearted staff. They're centered around the residents, friendly, and their welcoming attitude makes it feel like home. The residents all seem super happy. The staff knows everyone's first name, they're always cheerful and treat residents with respect and care. Plus, they seem to really enjoy their work. However, the actual building needs some work. The owners are fortunate to have such a fantastic team because they manage to keep the place running without much help from the owners. Recently, they've made some major repairs to the plumbing and hot water system, which were seriously needed. The problem is, the facility needs regular upkeep which the owners need to do a better job at managing. We chose this place because of the stellar personal care that our older family member needed. We thought that the condition of the facility itself was not as essential. It's a wonderful place for an elderly person who needs personal care and attention. But, for a more independent senior who might notice the maintenance issues and that the building is a bit outdated, this place might not be the top choice. The cost is fair for the services provided. Some of the other, more modern facilities we looked at were way more expensive. Overall, you get what you pay for, and the excellent personal care makes it worth it.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living For Active Individuals"
I had a disappointing time with Willow Creek at Buffalo Assisted Living. My husband was only allowed to stay for less than a week because he was considered too energetic. Shortly after leaving, he was hospitalized and sadly passed away. I advise against choosing them if your family member is still lively and active. They seem to be better suited for those who are going to be mostly sedentary and not doing much.

"Willow Creek is the Best Choice for Assisted Living."
I don’t usually write reviews, but I have to for this place. Willow Creek is amazing! My 92-year-old mom is really happy with her apartment, the staff, the food, and all the friends she’s made. Even though she was set on living alone, she knew she needed help that I couldn’t provide daily. We looked at other places, but after touring Willow Creek, Mom said, “I don’t need to see anywhere else.” We’re both so glad we chose Willow Creek.

"Decent Care but Massively Understaffed and Underpaid"
The care provided at this assisted living facility is satisfactory. However, they're seriously lacking in staff since they don't pay them well enough and they often quit. In the beginning, we had an outstanding caretaker who cared for him quite well, but she departed because she was still earning $10 per hour after five years, which I believe is totally unfair. They can't expect to maintain high-quality staff with such wages. The caregiver-to-patient ratio they promise isn't real. Though each caregiver offers good care, they're too few in number. It seems like their top priority is profit, not providing proper care. I'd rate the caregivers a 5, but management only deserves a 1. They do have activities, but only those who can physically make their own way can participate. If they can't, they're simply left where they are. We opted for this place due to convenience, but if I knew what I know now, I wouldn't have chosen it.
