"Poor Treatment and Frequent Issues at Assisted Living Facility"
My buddy didn't have a good experience here. He fell one weekend, but there were no bandages around for the staff to use. The bus often wasn't running. The food servings were tiny. Even though there were activities scheduled, no staff member would show up to lead them. When I'd drop him off at night, we had to use a code to get inside. We'd struggle with it for more than ten minutes until I made a fuss and a worker would finally come open the door.

"Surprisingly Enjoyable Assisted Living Experience"
I really liked the place. It was clean and the people who take care of you are nice. I would tell others about it. My dad never wanted to go to a place like this, but once he was there, he liked it. The people who took care of him were really good, and I felt good on the days they were there. Some other days, the caregivers weren't as good.

I visited Oakey Assisted Living and had mixed feelings. The location was convenient since it's close to my house, but the apartments felt small, cramped, and noisy. Ultimately, we decided not to choose this facility.

"Disappointing Service in Spacious, Lacking Assisted Living Facility"
For the price, the apartment is really big compared to other places I checked. It's okay to live here if you can take care of yourself completely. Don't expect help from the staff at all. They won't give you any medical care or services you're supposed to get. They don't even clean. The common areas are okay, but they don't do what they should in the apartments. There are no activities. But the staff are friendly even though they don't do much.

When you first see this place, it looks like apartments. We worried our loved one might feel lonely here. But inside, it's safe with indoor doors. We didn't choose it because many residents seemed advanced and didn't talk to us.

"Small, calm community; informative tour but not ideal environment."
Looking for a smaller, less busy place for my loved one, I found the tour informative and they gave me all the details I needed. However, it wasn't quite the right fit for what I was hoping for.

"Great value, friendly staff, and clean environment highly recommend!"
The good price made us check it out, but it was the friendly staff and clean environment that really convinced us. We would suggest the Oakey Assisted Living community to other families.

I liked Oakey just as much as the place Mom chose. Mom didn't like it, though I couldn't figure out why from her. It was just a feeling, I guess. The staff was really friendly, and the rooms seemed nice.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
Our family member is still getting used to everything, so she hasn't really joined in on the activities yet. The meals and dining experience vary—sometimes good, sometimes not so much. However, Oakey Assisted Living is very clean, charming, and recently renovated. The staff members are really nice and always available when we have questions.

"Great staff, clean facility, good food, and fun activities!"
My mom stayed here for a short time. The facility was great, but it just wasn’t quite the right fit for her. The medical staff was outstanding, and everyone treated her well. The food was tasty, and the dining staff was always helpful. They offered activities like poker and exercise classes, and did a nice job encouraging her to join. Everything was kept clean and well-maintained. I’ve already recommended them to others!

"Nice Facility, But Not for Memory Care"
When I was looking for places for my dad, I found this community. It was really nice and the staff I met were friendly and kind. But, I didn't choose it because they don't take memory care residents. They only have assisted living, so my dad wouldn't have fit in. I would recommend this place to other families.

"Spotless and accommodating assisted living with excellent amenities and care."
This place is really nice. The staff are super helpful and friendly. They make sure you feel comfortable and help with anything you need. The building looks great and is always really clean. They clean everything regularly, like the laundry and the trash. They even clean your apartment once a week and change your sheets. Everything is really easy here. The food is good and there's lots of options. You can eat as much as you want. If you have visitors, they can join you for dinner for a small fee. They even have free popcorn! The staff here are great. They make sure you're taken care of, even if you don't choose to stay here. They offer a bus for doctor's appointments and other places nearby, all included. Sometimes they even take people shopping. They have lots of activities, even though they're not totally full yet. They post a schedule each month so everyone knows what's happening. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It's a great place for my parents and for me when I'm older.

"Perfect Location"
My mom was a bit nervous about moving to this community, but she's settled in nicely. She's already enjoying the activities and social events. The food quality depends on the chefs, but overall, the staff is friendly. The community is clean and well-maintained. We love that it's in the same neighborhood as her condo.

"The Best in Class!"
This community is terrific. My father receives the best care. Everyone is friendly and he has made many friends. They let him enjoy as much independence as he wants but are always there when he needs help. The common areas and his apartment are beautiful, and their service is excellent. It’s the best deal in town! The manager and her assistant are exceptional. If you want a warm experience, make this place your parents' home. I can't wait to move in myself in about 10 years.

"Top Choice So Far Impressed with Food and Activities"
I just visited this place for my dad and had lunch with the residents. The community is modern, really well-kept, and the staff I met were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, and the waiter gave us great service. I was impressed by the many food choices and the fact they offer soup every day, which my dad loves. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and there seem to be plenty of activities to keep him busy. They even have a bus driver to help with doctor appointments. So far, this is the best place we’ve seen. Very impressed!

"Finding This Assistance Living Facility Unimpressive And Overpriced"
We're not all that thrilled with this place. The grub is downright awful and they lack choices for those on specific diets. The person responsible for cleaning only shows up once a week and then only hangs around for like five minutes tops. They've got no transportation for the residents, which is uncool. We ended up here 'cause of a sudden need and didn't get time to properly consider this place. Care at various levels comes with extra cost and everything is pricey with not many services on offer.

Destinations Oakey got a makeover and looks great! The rooms are nice, and the dining room is beautiful. The staff is super friendly and really cares about me. Plus, the food is good, and the activities are fun!

"Perfect Place for My Grandmother!"
I recently met with the Executive Director. She is very friendly and knows a lot about the community. She works hard to make a great place for the residents to feel at home. I appreciate how much they care about the safety of their residents. I really believe this will be a perfect place for my grandmother. She will be close to my cousins who live nearby and will get great care. Since the community is newly renovated, it isn’t very full, so I feel my grandma will receive the one-on-one attention she needs during the day.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short of Promises"
My experience with this assisted living facility hasn't been great. I expected the staff to keep the promises they made when we moved in, but that's not been the case. I'm always reminding the housekeepers to clean his room on Fridays. I have to oversee their work to make sure it's done. Despite paying for a laundry service, he's still doing his own laundry. There are other unkept promises too. This place definitely needs major changes and improvements.
