"Dedicated Staff and Care Despite Challenges at Pacifica Senior Living"
I gave it four stars because they often don’t have enough staff, which seems to be a problem in most places like this. The medical technicians really seem to care about the people who live there. Sometimes, in the dining room, they have problems because they don’t have enough staff or things they need, but they try hard to make sure everyone gets what they want. Overall, we’re happy with how things have gone at Pacifica Senior Living San Martin.

"Improvements Needed, Overall Positive Experience"
This place is in a good spot. The people who work here are friendly, but sometimes it’s hard to understand what they’re saying. At night, they should have more staff available. When you need help, it takes too long for someone to come after you push the button. I think they should make a TV area on the first floor where everyone can hang out and watch shows and sports together. Also, the person who plans activities should stick around after dinner.

What they need to work on is keeping things clean, doing laundry more often, and checking in regularly. I was really upset that no one contacted me to be with my loved one at the end, no matter what time it was. I've been through this situation before, and I know they should have an idea.

"Not Worth the Money, Poor Attention and Cleanliness"
My family member isn't there anymore. Everyone seemed nice and they always listened. But they didn't pay enough attention. They promised a ton of fun activities, but my family member didn't participate in any. The cost was too high for what we got. The place was not always clean. In the end, we didn't have a good experience.

The care here was really good. The wellness director, [name removed], was awesome. But the billing and financial stuff was a mess. They made mistakes often. My advice to others is to stay on it. Overall, I would suggest Pacifica Senior Living San Martin to other families.

We don't have much to compare it to, but we think it's good overall. The food is decent for seniors. Our loved one hasn't been very into the activities, but she's enjoyed what she's tried. Families should think about this place depending on their loved one's needs and care level.

"Overall positive experience with some room for improvement."
I like the community. The apartment is spacious, with a big closet and full-size fridge. However, housekeeping took a while to set up. Staff check-ins were infrequent at first. Communication with staff can be challenging. The carpet needs updating. Meals are available three times a day, and residents can choose to cook in their apartments or have meals delivered.

We're not totally happy with the price, how they handle money, and the terrible food. The new management is trying harder to listen to our needs. The workers are nice and supportive but seem really busy.

"Poor facility manages, but caring staff"
The place is cleaned inconsistently, there are problems with stuff getting stolen, and nobody responds when you press the call buttons. They were supposed to check on my mom every hour and they didn't, and no one ever answered our phone calls or emails. The fire door and security camera doesn't even work, and they never deal with this one resident who bullies everyone. On a positive note, most of the staff that interacted with my mom were really nice and did their best despite the fact that their leaders don't support or recognize them.

The assisted living facility has some staffing issues, leading to frequent turnover. There are problems with food quality, cleaning, and activities. However, the new cook is better, experimenting with healthier recipes. A new activities director is also working on improvements. One resident noticed staff entering at odd hours but raised it in a meeting, and the facility seemed responsive. Overall, despite challenges, they're trying to improve, and I'd recommend them.

"Mixed Experience: Memory Care Shines, Assisted Living Falls Short"
Our time in Memory Care was better than Assisted Living. The Memory Care staff were more attentive, took care of meds, and bandages for my family member. They were kind and pleasant with them. The hospice nurses were great too. However, the Assisted Living part didn't meet our expectations. The front desk staff were friendly, but overall, our experience was not satisfactory.
