Prestige Assisted Living at Mira Loma

"Poor service and conditions at local assisted living facility"
This care center is always understaffed whenever I visit my friend. The service we receive is awful. The food is often served cold and hard, making it difficult to eat. I tried to bring up these issues with the kitchen manager, but she was never available to discuss them. I also saw employees being mistreated. They recently fired a few servers, which has only made the service even slower. It's a shame because they fired some of their best workers. The whole situation is extremely unprofessional. My friend has been living here for years, and it's disheartening that they try to portray it as a pleasant living environment when, in reality, it's just a mess.

"Terrible Experience with Dirty Facility and Rude Director"
We moved our mom into this place for some months but had to take her out because it was just terrible. The meals are unbearable, the facility is unclean. We attempted to have a chat with the head of the place several times, but she just showed us disrespect. It's a shame because some of the workers are kind.

"Disappointing Experience with Care and Services at Assisted Living Facility"
The food they dish out is really terrible. If you chat with the other folks living there who aren't dealing with dementia, they'd agree. Plus, they didn't keep my parents feeling fresh and clean. They barely included them in any fun activities. And, there were mix-ups with their medicine on top of my mom's hearing aids never being charged even though we entrust them every night to the office for that. Strangely, my mom and dad had bruises in places you don't normally see. Besides that, we had to supply them with water bottles because they told us we had to. The care is severely lacking. Also, when we decided to move my folks out, a lot of their things were nowhere to be found – a whole lot!

"Friendly Assisted Living Community with Engaging Activities"
We chose this community because of its convenient location, friendly atmosphere, engaging activities, and delicious meals. Our experience has been mostly pleasant so far. The environment is very friendly and enjoyable. I'd likely recommend it to others.

"Warm and Friendly Staff; Some Staffing Issues; Good Room Size"
The Directors and Activity Director are really caring and friendly. The Activity Director is awesome with the residents, making sure they stay social and engaged. Right now, they're having a little trouble hiring kitchen staff. The room my loved one has is just the right size for a queen bed, small couch, chair, and a large dresser!

"Depressing Atmosphere in Memory Care Area"
This facility provides both assisted living and memory care services. The front area, dedicated to assisted living, is welcoming. However, the back section, designed for memory care, is quite disheartening. The cleanliness is maintained averagely but patients in the memory care section come across as heavily medicated and barely active.

"Great place but far away!"
The facility is beautiful and has many amenities. However, we prefer a location closer to our current neighborhood. The staff is friendly.

"Understaffed and Call-in-Sick Issues with Care Aides"
The workers here are always understaffed, which can be a danger to the people living here. Some of the aides, the PCAs, are not nice and like to boss around the older residents. Those same PCAs seem to be out sick a lot without taking proper steps.

The dining room is bright and cheerful, and I love how they decorate for each season. My loved one's room was cozy and comfortable. They have some nice activities, though a few more in the evenings would be great.

"Great Place for Your Loved One"
This place took very good care of my mother. It's warm and friendly. She felt very special there, always shown a lot of attention and care. Shout out to Angie for making the process smooth, and to Delores, the activity director, for taking my mom under her wing. Located in a nice area of town.

"Great Experience at Prestige Assisted Living So Far!"
We are really happy with Prestige so far. They have made some special arrangements for our loved one, especially with meals. I ate there before my loved one moved in, and the food was good. Since moving in, our loved one hasn’t complained about the food at all. I would give Prestige a five-star rating!

"Feels Like Home for Mom and Her Dog"
My mom and her dog have called Prestige of Mira Loma "home" for seven years. The staff here is wonderful and caring, and they’ve become like family to us. Barbara, the director, and her team work hard to keep residents and families happy. I visit almost every day, and the facility is always clean and decorated for each season or monthly theme. The food is really good, and the Chef's peanut butter pie is amazing! They offer fun workshops for residents and their families, and everyone can join in on fundraisers like walks or bake sales (where you can buy that delicious peanut butter pie!) to support causes like Cancer and Alzheimer’s.

"Similar size facility as Montara Meadows, but newer!"
This place is like Montara Meadows but newer. The setup is very nice, especially with the attached memory care. I met with theme, who were really helpful since she wasn't there for our appointment. The unit is well-organized, and the staff is friendly. The residents seem happy and proud of their facility. One resident even showed us her nice studio apartment, and she's thrilled to live here.

"Peace of mind with attentive care, but room for improvement."
The director makes everyone feel safe, but the food could be better. It would be great if they checked his blood pressure more often. More transportation options and one-on-one attention would be nice. The layout is good, and the sales director is excellent.

"Mira Loma is a wonderful, caring place for mom!"
We first had my mom at Emeritus, and it was a nightmare. Our experience at The Prestige at Mira Loma is totally different. Mira Loma is beautiful and clean, and it's way better in value. It costs several hundred dollars less than Emeritus, and everyone is much happier at Prestige. Emeritus seemed focused on money and told me things when I was really vulnerable just to fill their beds. The Prestige is completely different. If you talk to anyone there, they are happy and tell you what you really need to hear. They care about making people happy, not just filling rooms. It truly feels like a home. It’s like a cool little resort for older people!
