"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Experience"
Here’s what’s up with the assisted living place: My mom got there in June 2023. They said the van for going to fun places, doctor visits, and shopping would work in a month. But even after they got the van ready by the end of the year, there was no one to drive it. So, my mom had to pay extra or ask others for rides, which should’ve been covered already. Then, there’s safety stuff. At first, my mom could walk in anytime. Now, if she comes back late, like after 8 or 9 at night, she has to wait outside until someone unlocks the door. And there’s no one watching the place all the time. I’m also worried that if there’s a big emergency, people might not be able to get out fast unless a worker helps. Also, they don’t have fun things to do every day. They have some stuff going on, but not all the time. A lot of my mom’s buddies have left, and it feels kind of lonely there. We don’t want her to get sad. She’s doing better now, so she doesn’t need to stay there anymore, and we’re planning to move her out.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I visited this place for a tour. The usual guide wasn't available, so I was helped by the Party Director. She was friendly, but it felt strange because of the change in ownership. Also, they had fewer staff members due to this.

"Poor management and cleanliness concerns at living facility"
This living facility has had problems with stuff like giving out the wrong medicine, not having tasty food, and not enough employees. Plus, they're really bad at returning phone calls. The bosses at the facility are doing their best, but the bigwigs above them don't seem to care. It's really hurt the place since a big company bought it. The part of the facility where people with memory problems stay isn't as clean as it needs to be. It'd be great if they could slap on a fresh coat of paint and clean up the furniture. A lot of rooms in the memory care area don't fit wheelchairs very well.

"Needs Better Staff and Tastier Food"

"Warmly Recommended Assisted Living Community"
I haven’t talked to many staff members, but some have been really helpful. A caregiver, who helped us move in and the health director, were all great! Another lady, was also helpful. I’m not sure if she’s still there, but she gave us a virtual tour. We noticed other residents wandering into my mom’s room. I wonder if that’s common in memory care. My sister, who knows the community better, wondered if the doors could be closed. Maybe it’s just how residents are? My sister also mentioned that during my mom’s meal, she got half a slice of bread instead of a whole one. It’s a small thing, but it matters. Overall, I’d recommend this community to others.

"Cozy Wentworth Lacks Tidiness, Didn't Feel Suitable"

"Community Fails with Aggressive Levels, However Good for Dementia"
My Dad only stayed at this place for two weeks. From the start, they were told about his aggressive behavior, but they insisted they could handle him. They also charged a large, non-returnable community fee of $3,000. Shortly after, I began to question whether they really understood his condition. When Dad's behavior turned aggressive, they just sent him to the hospital and told us he couldn't come back. I think they could've handled this in a more professional way. I wouldn't advise anyone whose family member is aggressive to choose this place. On the other hand, it might work for those suffering from just dementia. The place is secured and has a little locked outdoor area. Staff here really pays attention to the residents.

"Memory Care Offered"
I visited different communities while searching for a place for my sister. When I came here, I was impressed that they offered memory care. This community is very nice. It has been renovated in the past few years. The place is very clean with no odors and is very well kept. The staff is great, very nice and attentive, making you feel welcome anytime you are there. The food is very good. My friend's husband heard about a woman who did a lot of research before deciding to place her husband here soon, and that convinced my friend's husband.

The place is really big, but it feels a bit impersonal. The staff is nice, even though there aren’t enough of them for such a large community. My friend feels overwhelmed because of the size. "Wonderful facility!"
My loved one's stay is going wonderfully! The facility has two levels: the bottom level is a great memory care unit, and the upstairs is an assisted living unit. Both units give residents a lot of freedom. The staff are very attentive and take excellent care of her! She has many opportunities to join activities, like the recent luau party or the bus trip last week. Even though the rooms are shared, they are very large, so my loved one can still live privately.

Other than that, she enjoys the atmosphere, and we are happy with our choice.

"They Provided Amenities"
My friend liked this community too. It had carpet and was recently renovated. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any available spots, and their prices were higher. They offered a shared unit for $1600, but that wouldn’t work for her. The smallest studio cost $2200. We visited the room, and she’d have to pass another person’s bed to get to hers. Rent included meals, housekeeping, transportation, and linen services.

"Great with a few changes"
I moved my dad to Wentwork recently. He really likes the food and staff. But there's no orientation or check-in process for new residents. I had to ask questions to figure things out. No staff introductions unless you seek them out. Once the sales rep closes the deal, you never see her again. It'd be better if they introduced the facility and staff. Also, there's no check-in or check-out procedure, so anyone can come and go without anyone noticing. My main concern is that someone could take my dad out without questions. After 5 PM, there's no one at the desk, and even when someone's there, they don't ask questions. With better security and orientation, it could be a great place.

"Exceptional Care and Support at The Wentworth of Las Vegas"
My brother has been in the Memory Care Unit for 11 months. The care and compassion at The Wentworth are outstanding. The amenities, food, activities, and cleanliness are all great. As a family, we always feel welcome; the staff knows our names, and the director reaches out if we need anything. We feel involved and informed. Recent changes have been very positive, like room renovations, outings for the Memory Care residents, an amazing chef, and upgraded staff. All of this helps make a tough situation a bit easier to handle. Given the same difficult situation, I would highly recommend The Wentworth of Las Vegas. Even though it’s a long drive for us, the level of care and commitment makes it all worthwhile.

My sister and I searched for an assisted living and memory care facility for our 87-year-old mom, and The Wentworth is perfect. Mom has been there a little over a month, and she’s really happy. "Totally Impressed and Very Pleased"
We are very pleased with this place. The staff is very caring, and they have plenty of helpful people around at all times. My loved one has settled in really well, and I’m totally impressed. They make an effort to befriend the residents and encourage them to interact kindly with each other while keeping a close eye. The food choices are good, and they make sure everyone gets the right meals for their needs, like diabetic or soft diets. Each table seats four people, so it feels cozy, with nice tablecloths to make it comfortable. They put a lot of thought into everything. Everything is easy for residents to access, and they even make shadowboxes with things residents love, showing off their personalities. The costs seem fair, though you do need to bring your own toiletry supplies. There are large TVs, strong security, and a safe, pleasant outdoor area. Overall, it’s a wonderful place!"

"Great place, but communication challenges."
The Wentworth of Las Vegas is a great place overall. However, communication can be a bit challenging due to language barriers. While the general areas are kept clean and spotless, some rooms might need a little more attention. Patients who live there notice this, even if the general public doesn't.

"Dismal Changes in Staff and Care Quality"
I remember when this place used to be amazing. All the staff that helped me move my mom in, like the director, nurse, and guide, have left. They took with them some of the care staff that I really trusted. I was left in the dark about these changes. The people who replaced them just don't seem as friendly or caring. The activities and meals are okay, however, there's been a significant drop in entertainment lately. I have seen some really poor care and nursing staff - once, my mom was left without being attended to for almost two days. The newer staff from the secure section seemed to be making improvements, but I'm not too hopeful anymore. Two nurses have been trying their best to help. But, given how the rest of the staff is treated, I'm not sure they'll hang around much longer. If you want your parents somewhere safe and loving, I recommend looking elsewhere. I am, along with many other families in search of better options for our loved ones.

"Warm, friendly place for Mom"
Brought my mom here for a tour last week. She had a fall recently and was in rehab for a few weeks. Now, at her age in her late 80s, we both know she can’t live alone anymore. We visited on a weekend, and Chris, the marketing person, was very friendly. He spent a lot of time with us, really cared, and gave us helpful advice, explaining everything clearly. My mom has now moved in, and so far, everything’s been great. She’s even starting to make new friends.
