"Great staff and nice private room, but short stay"
I had a brief visit at this assisted living facility because I needed to help my loved one move to a different place. The staff was really good, and the lady in charge was amazing. The room was very nice and it was a private room for my loved one.

"Lovely Community with Caring Staff"
My mom really likes living here, but dad needs more time. We're happy they're here. Mom's having a great time. The people are great, and we trust them. It's a nice place, and I'd suggest it.

"Nice and Convenient!"
At Atria Crossgate, we appreciated the single-level layout. It's a friendly place, but pricier than others and not in our preferred location.

Honestly!
"Assisted living's extra charge for room service amidst inconveniences."
Last month, we faced some challenges at the assisted living facility. Residents were stuck in their rooms due to sickness, and there was even a pest problem in one area. Despite these difficulties, the management decided to charge me an additional $3 for a meal tray service. It felt unfair, especially since they didn't offer any discounts for the days we were quarantined or had to move rooms. It's frustrating to see rent go up when we've been through so much inconvenience.

Honestly!
"Atria Surprises With Extra Charges Amidst Chaos"
During a month where (1) all of the residents were stuck in their rooms due to a stomach bug outbreak, no one allowed in or out unless wearing a mask; and (2) a swarm of flying ants took over a wing, forcing residents to vacate their rooms for pest control, they actually had the nerve to charge me $3 extra on that month's rent for a "tray fee". This fee seemed to be for the minor courtesy of having meals brought to your room if you're in a hurry. Instead of giving us a discount for the days we had to stay in our rooms due to the bug outbreak or the days we had to leave due to the ants, Atria chose to charge extra for a petty service they provided! I didn't want to make these issues public, but I just had to share because of the laughable irony of my rent going up after such an inconvenient month.

"Mixed feelings about Atria: Some positives, some negatives"
My mom is happier here than I expected. Her room's nice, with a good view. There's lots of fun stuff, like music, and the people running activities are nice (shoutout to Darlene!). We also appreciate the PT and OT services. The food's okay, but they just upped the prices for visitors way too high ($10 for breakfast, $14 for lunch). So, I won't be dining there anytime soon. The care is basic. The aides and med techs do their best, but there's not much attention given. It costs $800 extra each month just for meds and a bit of help with bathing and dressing. Plus, they increased fees shortly after I signed a contract. Imagine one aide for 88 residents, except during mornings when they add one or two more for showers. Doing the math, that's barely any time per resident. But, surprisingly, Atria manages to keep things pleasant and friendly, despite the minimal staff. It's still better than a nursing home, and I feel more at ease with my mom here than at home. Despite the price hikes, now that she's settled, I'll likely keep her at Atria instead of moving her again.

"Atria Crossgates review"
My Uncle recently moved to Atria @ Crossgates, and although I don't have much experience with the facility, I've found the staff to be very friendly. The dining experience has been positive, and I'm confident my Uncle will receive three square meals a day. Walking to the dining area also provides him with much-needed exercise. However, there was an issue on his first night: he fell in the shower while being assisted. Thankfully, they promptly called 911 and informed the family, and luckily, he didn't break any bones.

"Seemed Pleasant"
We visited this community while exploring care options for a family member. It appeared pleasant, but compared to the others we saw, it needed updates and renovations.

"Pricey assisted living with mixed amenities, close proximity raises concerns"
$4,350 for a one-bedroom with a kitchenette, transportation services, and an onsite doctor. Meals are included, three per day. It sounds nice, but being too close is a concern.

"Tired, Worn Facility"
We weren't too impressed with that place. The staff seemed okay, but the facility looked a bit worn. The rooms didn't appeal to us—they were kind of threadbare and just seemed tired. Overall, it wasn't the right fit for any of us.

"Inspect this facility thoroughly before making your decision."
It was nice to walk around, but actually living there is somewhat different. The staff are nice and the food tastes good. The place itself is pleasant but does need some more organization and the staff could make more of an effort to follow through.
