"Exceptional Assisted Living Experience at Atria Forest Hills"
There aren't many options for seniors who want an active and independent community in New York. Atria Forest Hills works hard to create a space where residents can get involved in activities, suggest ideas, or simply attend events. During my mom's first week at Atria, I met friendly residents and employees. The transition from living in your own home to assisted living can be overwhelming, but the team at Atria respects each resident's experience. While there's no discount for eating fewer meals, the set meal times foster social connections and true friendships. Overall, the Atria team has been exceptional and kind.

"A Mixed Experience"
My mom's been here for 2 years, but the rent went up by 40%. The food is bad—cold and tasteless. They toss her food from the tiny fridge. No toasters or kettles allowed. Dirty dishes, and they never clean under the bed. Yuck. On the bright side, it's a friendly place. Doors don't lock, so staff can help anytime. Convenient car service.

"Mixed Feelings About Atria Forest Hills"
We enjoyed our tour at Atria Forest Hills. The community has many orthodox Jewish residents, which would be a great fit for my loved one. However, parking is challenging—they only have a circle drive out front, and finding parking nearby can be tough. The facility’s location feels congested due to the surrounding buildings.

"Convenient Community with Welcoming Staff"
I visited this place with my family and we were happy with how nice the staff were to us. The building layout was easy for my family member to get around, and they had cool stuff for everyone to enjoy. But, it wasn't in the right spot for us.

"Impressive Assisted Living Experience at Atria of Forest Hills"
Overall, I think Atria of Forest Hills does a great job! We were really impressed when we toured the facility. The saleswoman we worked with was amazing. She helped us with the price of the unit and finding a room that suited Dad's needs. The staff here are all very friendly, and they take great care of the residents. Our loved one seems to have a new lease on life. He's meeting new people and joining lots of activities! One area they could improve in is their transition program for new residents. There wasn't much of an orientation, and Dad has been learning as he goes.

"Clean and friendly community, though common areas not impressive."
We visited this place while searching for care for a family member. I liked how it looked. The shared spaces weren't as fancy as some others we saw, but overall, it's clean and neat, and everyone here seems really nice.

"Great Start, But Be Aware of Costs and Limitations"
The first impression was amazing! The staff, the look of the place, the services, the food, the cleanliness everything was better than perfect. We should have thought more about the fact that they don't take Medicaid, so when you run out of money, you have to move. There are rent fees and care level fees. They decide the price based on the care level, and if the care level goes up, the price goes up too. You need to be sure you can still afford it, or you will have to move. For the first few weeks, they help residents around, but after that, they're on their own. You can pay extra for an escort, though. They didn't visit my loved one in rehab, even though they said they would. When you first visit, they go all out, and it's just fabulous. They don't have physical therapy or skilled nursing, so you'd have to go elsewhere for that. They have safety features and lovely outdoor terraces, and they keep residents busy, which is great. If you are independent and don't need much help, they are fabulous. But if your care needs go up, you may have to move.

"Bummed by Food and Lack of Activities at Living Facility"
Not impressed with the average, school-like meals here. The new leader is distant and impersonal; something I wouldn't hope to encounter in the head of an assisted living home. There needs to be more entertainment options for the folks living here.

"Great place with helpful, flexible staff for move-in needs"
We liked the place a lot. The staff was really helpful and flexible. When we were moving in and needed cable and phone set up, they took care of it even though we couldn’t be there. So, they’re definitely accommodating.
