Atria Glen Cove

"Decent Facility with Room for Improvement"
The place is alright, and if it’s within your budget, I’d say keep it in mind. It’s not the worst. The care my family member gets is pretty good. But we’re not happy that they charge extra for managing my family member’s medicine. They decide if someone can handle their own medicine by asking them questions about it. The place won’t let my family member take the medicine test again, which has us feeling let down. The people who work there are okay to deal with. They do a good job of answering our questions and dealing with what we’re worried about. They’ve got stuff like shopping trips, workouts, music, and other activities for folks living there. Plus, they offer rides for doctor visits.

"Warm and Welcoming Assisted Living with Excellent Care and Food"
This place isn't super fancy, but it's really well maintained. It's small and cozy, with only 80 apartments, and not all of them are filled right now. It feels really warm and friendly here. It's not one of those super fancy places, but that's exactly what my friend needed. She loves it here at Atria Glen Cove after we visited many places. It's smaller and cozier here, not all fancy and flashy, and that's what she loves about it. She says they take great care of her, and the food is really good too. I think it's a great deal. She's really happy, and that makes me happy too.

"Beware! Atria of Glen Cove Breaks Promises!"
Atria of Glen Cove looks nice at first, but that's all it is! We had a really tough time with their lack of good communication. We talked with the Director and explained what we needed for our loved one. They made it sound perfect. But when we actually tried it out, none of the things we talked about actually happened. We tried again to work things out with the people at Atria of Glen Cove, but the same problems came up. They made a bunch of promises they couldn't keep. It felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on us, like when someone sells a bad used car. It felt like they were trying to trick us. This isn't the kind of place you want for someone you love! You need to know they'll be safe and well cared for!

"Nice place but not for those with limited mobility"
We picked Atria because it looked really nice, was clean, and the staff seemed to care a lot. It's a great place if you can move around on your own. If you can't, it might not be the best choice. They offer assisted living, but the help they give is limited. However, the wellness staff was super friendly and communicated well.

"Not Recommended: Atria Glen’s Food Falls Short"
He’s not having a good time at Atria Glen. The food isn’t good—they only serve sandwiches for meals, and they often run out of food. Some folks have left because of the food situation. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it.

They follow safety rules and handle COVID precautions effectively. The setup is good, and we’d suggest Atria Glen Cove to others.

"Overall, beautiful assisted living community with some pricing concerns."
At this assisted living facility, they offer fun activities like arts and crafts, musical programs, and outings to concerts and museums. The community is great for active individuals who only need a little help. However, the pricing system can be confusing based on care levels and medication needs. Overall, it's a beautiful place.

"Needs Better Food and Staff Attitude"
The meals here are not good, and my sister often wonders what she’s eating. They ignore what my sister can and cannot eat. I find myself having to bring her meals. The staff used to be friendly, but now they’re not as kind. I wouldn’t tell people to stay here unless the food gets better.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living Facility"
The assisted living facility was really nice and friendly. It smelled clean, and there were no bad odors. However, it seemed a bit isolated from everything around it because of its location. The building had several floors, which made me worry that my loved one might get lost.

"Caring Community Provides Good Care and Value"
My husband's in a nice place with great care. The people there are nice and help him a lot. The food is yummy. He likes that the place is super clean. We think other families would like this place for the good care and fair price.

"“Adjusting Well!”"
Everyone who works here is friendly and welcoming. The place is beautiful, clean, and cozy. There are lots of fun activities to do. My mother-in-law has adjusted well. The food is usually good, but sometimes it’s not exactly as described on the menu. I wish they had given us more detailed information at the beginning (like how distributing medications costs extra and helping with dressing costs extra). Also, they don’t test my mother-in-law’s blood levels (INR) as often as we’d like, especially when her dosage changes. But overall, we’re happy with our choice so far.

"Friendly and Attentive Smaller Community"
This place is smaller and more personal, so my aunt gets more attention and better help than before. The community is very clean and well-kept. Everyone is super friendly and kind to her and us when we visit. They really pay attention to her needs here. I would recommend this community.

"Expensive but clean facility, friendly staff, hotel-like ambiance."
I visited this place while looking for my relative's care. It looked nice, clean, and the staff were friendly and professional. It's a big place, feeling more like a hotel than a cozy home. But it's pricey compared to others I've seen.

"Assisted Living with Lots of Activities!"
This place has so many fun things to do! They've got a movie theater and tons of activities. It's more independent than what we were looking for, but they offer more programs than her previous place.
