"Loved one dissatisfied, facility lacking, costly; reconsider before choosing."
The food was okay. PT wasn't enough. Expensive. Loved one unhappy. Distant room. Extra fees. Needed to leave.

"Entertainment and Crafts Shine, Food Needs Work"
The weekly entertainment and arts and crafts are great, but some movies are quite old. The food could be improved.

"Hidden Fees Impact Experience Negatively"
The place is really nice. If I had known about all the extra charges beforehand, I wouldn't have bothered.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvements"
Why did they take away the chairs by the entrance? My dad liked to sit there after his doctor visits, but now they're gone. The food isn't great - my dad really likes Italian bread, but they hardly ever have it. And twice when he wanted soup, they had run out. The rooms could be cleaner, and they raised the rent a lot in January. The staff is nice though.

"Mom’s Care in a Wonderful Community"
This is an amazing community. The staff is wonderful and caring. The meals are excellent, but they charge a lot for family meals. They offer great activities. I’m glad she has adjusted to her new home. We would recommend this community to other families.

"Atria Huntington Meets Mom's Needs with Care and Comfort"
When Mom arrived, she was welcomed into the dining room for lunch while we brought in her things. Since she has very poor vision, they changed their newly renovated dining room’s white tablecloths to beige so she could see her plate better. Atria is very good at meeting her needs. When her knees gave out, staff were there right away. I feel that Mom, who is 93, is very safe. Although she hasn’t joined many activities yet, there are plenty of opportunities. The staff and other residents greet her and her visitors. Mom even told me that two neighbors complimented her Christmas decorations. She can’t cook or clean the way she used to, but I know she’s well cared for at Atria Huntington.

"Wonderful Community for My Dad!"
This community is always well-kept and looks beautiful. My dad’s meals are adjusted to meet his religious needs and diet. He is always invited to activities, and the staff encourages him to join. I am very happy with all the staff who are so helpful and willing to do anything to make him happy. All his needs are met, and I’m thrilled to have found a place like this. I would definitely recommend this community!

"Pretty Happy With Their Services, But They Don’t Accept Medicaid"
Up until now, things have been going well. However, they don't accept Medicaid and we will have to move eventually. The place is clean and the workers are nice. They've dealt with any issues that have arisen. The food here is enjoyed. Overall, we're quite satisfied, and they get a steady 3 out of 5 from us.

"Peace of Mind"
The Atria is a great place for my dad. He enjoys the meals but wishes breakfast could start a little later than 8 am since mornings are tough for him. The staff is always ready to assist with walking and dressing, and they’re friendly and helpful. We were really impressed with how clean The Atria is—it’s like a ‘Resort’!

"Friendly, active, pet-friendly with great food and activities"
Friendly faces and an active social environment make this place special. The bathrooms are a nice size, and each room has unique qualities. It seems well-suited for those of the Catholic faith, and the menu suggests wonderful culinary delights. The dining area and courtyard are lovely, and the facility is pet-friendly. There’s a huge selection of daily activities that should please everyone with their variety. I would have liked to see garden paths for strolling on their large property. The building is easy to access and all on one floor.

"Assisted Living Facility's Standards and Care Slip"
The care quality at this facility has really dropped in the past year. Always short on workers, especially in housekeeping, which is really stressful. Half the staff is way too busy, the other half doesn't seem to do much. This place needs a lot of improvement, and certainly doesn't provide as much help as they promise.

"Understaffed Facility with Poor Communication and False Promises"
They seem nice and supportive until you actually leave your family member there. They don't talk to the family about the resident's care much. I really don't think there's enough staff for everyone. If your loved one needs any additional help and can't manage on their own, this place isn't good for them. I was let down by what they promised me before moving in.

"Comfortable Living Environment"
My mom stayed at Arbors in Westbury. Even though she might not fancy any assisted living, Atria's grounds are lovely, with wider hallways and a bright, inviting dining area. We're content with the care she's getting there.

"Needs More Staff and Food Improvements"
They could use a little more staff. They took my aunt to get a haircut, and she was sitting outside the salon for about an hour before anyone noticed she was there. They should check up on people more often and have more staff to spend time with the residents. Sometimes, they are just sitting for hours. My aunt isn't crazy about the food. They seem to have a nice selection, but she has complained a little and could use a bit more. I would give them 3 out of 5 on food.

"Great, Clean, and Friendly"
This place is very, very good, clean, and friendly. We had to call a few times to get things sorted out, but once we did, they fixed everything right away. The location was really important when we were choosing. I can't think of anything they could do to improve.

"Sandy was excellent and helped us feel at ease"
Atria is a great place that gave us peace of mind. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always ready to communicate. We don’t have to repeat ourselves with each staff member. She was especially great and a big reason we liked this place. Our loved one is more active than some residents, so he doesn’t socialize as much. Still, Atria Huntington felt very safe, and we are very happy with it. We would definitely recommend this community.

"Neat Community, Ex-School Now Quaint 'Motel' needs some improvements"
The place was tucked in neatly within a residential area which gave it a nice vibe. It used to be an elementary school, but now, it kind of gives a motel feel. I noticed that the place could use a new carpet in the hallways and the doctor's office had a bit of a musty smell. The spacious common room was indeed a plus point, along with the movie room. Most of the rooms were studios, not so sure if that'd work out for everyone. The options of rooms with a kitchenette were also not so vast. I found the dining room less pleasing compared to the one at Plainview.

"Warm and Clean Assisted Living with Happy Residents and Gardens"
This place is older but feels cozy and clean. The people who live here seem happy and active. You won't see wheelchairs around; everyone is clear-headed. The staff is friendly, and there's plenty of space to walk outside. Plus, they have a barbecue area and a patio, along with beautiful gardens.

"Convenient location, lovely facility, pricey private rooms; consider financial impact."
The place is really nice, and it's super close to where I live, which is a big plus. But, the cost for a private room might be too much. It's as much as all my mom's Social Security and pension put together, without even thinking about other medical and insurance costs.
