"Comfortable and Active Living at Atria Plainview"
When I decided I didn't want help at home, I used A Place for Mom. They asked me questions and gave me names of independent and assisted living homes. I picked Atria in Plainview. It's a small place, and the managers gave me good information. The staff is very nice. I moved in last December and have been happy since then. My apartment is bright and sunny. They take good care of Atria. They clean my room every day. They do laundry weekly and thoroughly clean the rooms! I am happy with my choice! There are several activities during the day to join in too.

"Affordable Alternative Found"
This community and tour were really nice. Atria was stunning, but we couldn’t afford it. We found another place nearby for our loved one.

"Mixed Feelings about Atria Plainview Assisted Living"
We picked Atria Plainview because I liked how it looked and felt more than other places we considered. They offer good services like a van for going to church and doctor appointments. Besides liking the place, the location is perfect it’s central for everyone in our family. The main issue we have is with the food. My mom doesn’t like it, and other residents feel the same way. Recently, they raised the rates by over $1000, blaming it on inflation. Overall, we’re mostly happy and would recommend Atria Plainview to others.

"Inadequate Care at Assisted Living Facility for Dementia Patients"
I reached out to Atria and told them about my mom's dementia and the special care she needs. I made sure the director and the nurse knew her needs too. Despite this, after they admitted her, they didn't deliver the promised guidance and daily supervision she needs. My mom said the people who dressed her were kind, but she felt alone the rest of the day. I visited many times and never saw any staff helping residents. Atria seems nice for people who can care for themselves, but not for someone with dementia. The director was insensible. He wrongly said my mom had a TBI, not dementia, and treated her badly. If your loved one has dementia, beware! They'll be better off somewhere else, like the great place my mom is at now, run by a family.

"Great Place for Assisted Living"
My mom just moved to Atria Plainview, and her life has totally changed! She used to be so bored and lonely, especially after she stopped driving. Now, she’s busy all day with lots of fun activities. She sounds so happy and excited whenever we talk. The staff has been amazing, helping her get used to living there, and the other residents are really nice and welcoming. The only downside is the cost, which is pretty high, and the food isn’t great right now. But they’re getting a new kitchen manager soon, so we hope that will improve. Overall, we’re really happy with this place.

"She is very happy here, and that makes me happy."
She is really happy here, and that makes me happy. She doesn’t love the food, but when we invited her to a barbecue, she didn’t want to leave. We liked that the rooms are a bit bigger, and this place just fits her personality better.

"Wonderful Month at Atria"
I feel very nostalgic about Atria during the holidays. I miss all the friends I made while I lived there. I was only there for one month, from September to October 2014, but it was a very good month. I enjoyed everything and loved the staff. Everyone was so good to me. I especially miss all the people I met. I hope they remember me. Thank you, Atria-Plainview. Carol Schor Malverne, NY

"Impressive, Clean, and Friendly Assisted Living Facility"
I was really impressed with this place! It’s smaller, with about 50 residents, and very nice. The facility reminded me of Embassy Suites. There’s fruit available all the time in a little kitchen area on the main floor. I checked out a studio that costs almost $4,000 a month, and it had a kitchenette. Everything was super clean, and the bathrooms looked new. Even though the place is about 10 years old, it all felt fresh. The residents looked clean and happy. At first, I thought it felt like a nursing home because there were about 10-15 people sitting in wheelchairs outside. But after visiting a couple of places, I realized this is normal. They have activities like bingo and lectures, but if you want fresh air, you have to sit by the front door.

"Lovely, clean community with great activities and happy residents"
This place is really nice! It’s well-kept, neat, and doesn’t have that hospital smell. I toured the community and saw both a studio and a one-bedroom apartment, and they were both very nice. I met a resident who is a friend’s mom, and she loves living there. She even showed me her apartment and praised the staff and activities. Each unit has a small fridge, microwave, and you can use an electric kettle or coffee maker. On the second floor, there’s an activity room for arts and crafts, cooking, and a book club. There’s also a JCC across the street where they go twice a week. The furniture around the community is really nice too!
