"A Caring, Safe Haven"
After just 3 months, I'd rate them 4.5 stars across the board. The staff is friendly and caring, making it a wonderful, safe place for our vulnerable family members.

"Good music, but promises and staff responses fall short"
They promised a lot about meal times, wake-up times, and keeping track of my loved one, but they haven’t kept up with those promises. The nursing staff also can’t answer specific questions about my loved one's behavior. However, the place has a lot of music, which my loved one really enjoys.

"Great Community, But Communication Needs Improvement"
I really like this community. I spend a lot of time there and feel like I’m working with them as a team. I’m not sure how it would be if I lived in another city and my loved one was here. I think my visits help keep the care at the level I want. There’s a medical condition that was under control but has come back. I feel like the doctor and physician’s assistant aren’t trying hard enough to find out why. Since switching my loved one from their Primary Care Physician to the community doctor and physician assistant, I feel out of the communication loop with the care staff. My loved one enjoys the food, activities, and the community itself. They also like the grounds and building.

"Caring Community with Great Food and Activities"
We really liked the friendly staff at Elderwood when we first visited. The place was super clean and bright. They offer great care services and fun activities like live entertainment and bingo. The menu is diverse, and our loved one hasn't complained about the food.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The staff's friendliness varies depending on who you talk to, and it feels like they want to charge for everything—extras included. Our loved one sometimes has to beg for assistance, even though this is an assisted living facility. Due to COVID, there are no activities, and even before that, there weren't many. The rooms are okay—pretty adequate. However, the two small elevators mean you have to squeeze in. As for the food, our loved one says it's hit or miss.

"Residents Miss Face-to-Face Interaction During Covid-19 Restrictions"
They kept the place clean and staff were friendly. But during Covid-19, they restricted residents too much. We had to move my mom out. Face-to-face interaction matters.

"Elderwood Assisted Living: Proceed with Caution"
Elderwood Assisted Living at WS is okay if you want a nice apartment, good food, and residents who can mostly take care of themselves. But watch out for extra charges—they might not really reflect better care. For example, if your family member needs eye drops, it'll cost you more for 'medication management.' The staff, like nurses and aides, are mostly good, but communication between them isn't great. And don't be fooled by their claim of 24-hour nursing—they're there, but they don't always know your loved one's needs. Some things, like night rounds and medical alarms, are missing. It's all about the money. If you like your current Primary Care Provider, stick with them.

"Mixed experience at Elderwood Assisted Living; lacks some essential care."
Elderwood is okay if you want a nice apartment, good meals, and residents who can mostly take care of themselves. But if you need extra help, they charge you more, which isn’t fair. Most of the helpers are good, and some are really excellent. But don’t trust the 24-hour nursing. Nurses are around, but you don’t know what they do for your loved one or what’s happening. Some of the people in charge don’t listen or respond well to family worries. They don’t check on residents at night, and they don’t give neck alarms like other places. Some residents have been on the floor for hours before anyone finds them. Their “levels of care” seem to be all about money. If you’re thinking about Elderwood at WS, ask lots of questions and think about keeping your own doctor.

"Great service initially, now a slight delay but very satisfied"
At first, they responded very quickly. Now that Dad is living there, there's a bit of a wait. But overall, we're really happy with our decision to move him.
