"Headline: "Assisted Living Facility Does a Bait-and-Switch, Cannot Be Trusted""
Total Rip-Off: I tried really hard to get my Mom into their fancy assisted living place. But after a bunch of work with money stuff, doctor checks, and other setup stuff, the room my Mom and I kept seeing and they said she could have was suddenly off limits. They said she could have another room, but it wasn't good enough for my Mom. And when we asked for the room we wanted, they said we could have it only if we paid double the money - That's not gonna happen! Now we have to do all this work again at a different place, as they won't give us what we were promised. Pay attention - don't trust anything from them.

"Glen Arden: Misused Funds and Caused Loss to Families"
My mom stayed in this place for 3 years. She handed over a big chunk of her savings, which were supposed to be invested. After her death, 90% of the money was meant to be returned after a year. My mom passed away during the COVID pandemic and we waited for the due year. When the time arrived, we received a call from a company dealing with financial issues, telling us that Glen Arden was nearly broke. They had misused my mom's money for their daily expenses, leaving us with barely anything in return. This is just the short story. I advise against sending anyone you love to this place, it'll only lead to loss.

"Contract Dispute at Glen Arden Assisted Living"
We signed a contract where residents pay more upfront, and upon their passing, their estate receives a refund. State regulations govern this. Unfortunately, when my family member passed away, Glen Arden did not follow the contract, leaving us with no choice but to accept a lower refund.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Buyer Beware"
If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have supported my parents moving here. 1. The facility's in deep financial trouble. They use tricky tactics to fill apartments, but haven't been self-sustaining for over 10 years. They're also not meeting financial requirements. 2. They claimed to offer assisted living but only have enhanced living. When my mom needed more care, they refused because they're not certified for it. Even offering private staff wasn't enough. 3. The staff is nice, but some might leave due to union issues that will cut health benefits. It's unfair that employees suffer because of the facility's mismanagement. 4. The apartments are okay, comfy enough. Consider eldercare advice before choosing. Still no 2018 financial report.
