"The best thing that's ever happened to her"
Mom loves Island View. It's the best thing that's ever happened to her. She's in rehab now but will return to Island View soon and can't wait. It's truly a home away from home for her. I couldn't ask for more.

"Ideal for seniors needing a peaceful, caring environment"
The owners have a home just for seniors. It’s cozy with family, pets, and a nice countryside view. There are only six residents, making it perfect for my mom to spend her last days.

"Friendly and Welcoming Assisted Living with a Homey Feel"
Island View is a small, informal place with just six residents. I can visit anytime during the day or early evening, and everyone, both residents and staff, are always friendly and welcoming. The owner, Pam Smith, is very skilled and is a registered nurse, as are her two daughters who also work there. Island View is a house with a downstairs area for the residents and an upstairs area for Pam's family, including her grandchildren. There are lots of cats, dogs, and children around. The setting is peaceful, right next to a branch of the Rondout Creek and across from an island preserve. The meals are well-balanced, and care is provided when needed. My 100-year-old mother has told me many times that she wants to stay here.

"Friendly, Competent Care in a Cozy, Peaceful Setting"
Island View is a small, friendly place with only six residents. I can visit anytime, whether it's day or early evening, and everyone both the people living there and the staff is always welcoming. Pam Smith, who runs the place, is a skilled RN, and both of her daughters, who also work there, are RNs too. The facility is set up like a house with a downstairs wing for the residents and an upstairs wing for Pam's family, including her grandchildren. They have plenty of cats, dogs, and even some kids around. It's a calm location by a branch of the Rondout Creek, right across from an island preserve. The meals are nutritious, the care is attentive, and my 100-year-old mother has often told me she wants to stay here.
