"Assisted Living Community Needs Remodeling and Better Meals"
This place is nice, but it needs some fixing up. The food isn't good, which is a big problem for our loved one. But we think they're trying to make it better and are open to ideas.

We visited Millview of Latham, but it didn't meet expectations. Staff and tour guide weren't memorable. Preferred another community.

"Welcoming Community with Room Options, Improvable Food"
We picked this place because of where it is, how big it is, not too huge, and the cost fits our budget. There are different room sizes to pick from depending on what you want. My mom really likes it here, but the food could be better. It seems like they serve the same meals every day. The best thing about this place so far is how they welcomed visitors before COVID. The staff is super friendly, and my mom said she couldn't ask for nicer people who work here. I would tell others to consider this place.

Before Covid-19, I visited daily. The place was clean, staff friendly. Good care, especially for mobile seniors. Activities director loves her job.

"Great care for Mom, friendly and caring staff at Millview"
I needed to find a place to care for my Mom and found Millview through A Place for Mom. It turned out to be exactly what she needed at this stage of her life. The staff has been very friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. I would recommend anyone to check them out if they’re looking for an assisted living facility for their loved one.

"Heat Problems at Millview Assisted Living"
Millview hasn't consistently provided heat to some residents' rooms this winter. The heat has gone off several times, especially on freezing nights, causing room temperatures to drop into the low 60s. Residents were told to keep their room doors open so hallway heat could warm their rooms. But now they've lost privacy, and there's been no rent reduction for those who endured cold nights. This situation is just not okay.

"Inadequate Heating Issues Plague Millview's Tenants"
Millview often has trouble keeping all of its resident's rooms warm during the winter. More than once, heat has failed in some units, particularly on super cold nights, causing room temperatures to dip into the 60s. When the heat goes out, residents are told to keep their doors open so the hallway heat can warm their rooms. But this takes away their privacy. And, to add insult to injury, the rent doesn't even drop for those who have to suffer through these chilly nights! I think this is a really poor way to treat people.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Assisted Living Review: Comfortable but Needs Organization"
This place is okay if you really need assisted living. They have nice courtyards where residents can hang out and do things like gardening and visiting each other. However, the facility itself is a bit disorganized. They have bigger rooms and walking paths, which is good. There are LPNs there all the time, but not too many residents, so it's not too crowded. They have lots of spots where people can gather in small groups or just find a quiet place to read or relax.

"Second choice for assisted living, nice courtyards, feels unorganized"
This place is my second choice for assisted living if needed. It has lovely courtyards, and you can see residents gardening and visiting. The facility feels a bit unorganized. There are larger rooms available and walking paths. They have LPNs on duty and a small number of residents. There are lots of areas for small gatherings or quiet spots to read.
