"Poor Administration, Good Staff; Lack of Communication; Neglectful Incident"

The workers were nice to my dad, but the bosses were bad. They never talked to us, and when we tried calling, they didn't answer for days. When my dad fell and got hurt, they didn't even tell me. I think the workers couldn't do their job well because of the bosses.

"Community Close to Home but Not Ideal Set Up"

My mom and I visited this place, and it was okay. It's nearer to our house than some others. But we didn't like how it's arranged; it's not what we wanted.

"Friendly Staff, Communication Could Improve"

Most of the staff is friendly, but they could improve communication. Sometimes it takes a while for them to respond when I reach out. They do care about residents, though, and interact well during my visits.

"Affordable, Engaging Assisted Living"

I found a clean, comfy place nearby that fits my budget. They offer lots of activities for residents, even bringing them to her room. The food seems good too, though I haven’t tried it. It’d be nice if they brought snacks around.

"Depressing Assisted Living Facility with Limited Views and Ambiance"

This place was really sad. It looked like it used to be a war building and you couldn't see anything nice from it. The building itself was in a strange place and felt dark and sad when we went inside. I looked at one of the people who lives there, and she just shook her head like she was telling me not to bring my family member there. The good thing about this place is that they can help families who don't have a lot of money, and they take Medicaid to help people who need it. But it wasn't right for my family member.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility"

The place was kind of okay because my family member got their own room in the part of the building where they take care of people who need to remember things better. We liked that he could stay close to his buddies, and it didn’t cost as much as other places nearby. But when it came to helping him out every day, the workers weren’t doing much. They told us to hire someone just for him, and that person ended up doing all the work the staff was supposed to do. It wasn’t great because he didn’t have the same person there all the time to help. And the food? Really not good. It looks like they don’t have enough people working there.

"Great Value and Quality Visiting Time at Signature Senior Living"

We picked this place because it was the best choice to meet my loved one's needs. The rooms are decently sized. What I like most is how they make it easy for you to spend quality time with your loved one. They've been doing virtual visits since COVID started. I think Signature Senior Living is a good option.

"Expensive Assisted Living Facility with Poor Services and Staffing"

This place didn't impress me at all. It didn't seem really professional and there weren't enough staff members. Plus, the semi-private rooms aren't good enough, especially considering the price they're asking for. Also, their extra service packages cost an awful lot.

"Disappointing Tour Experience; Facility Unprepared for Scheduled Appointment"

We were supposed to meet a lady for a tour at 11:00, but she never showed up. We called to say we'd be 15 minutes late because my dad's aide was running late, but by 12:00, she still hadn't arrived. Instead, the head of maintenance reluctantly gave us a tour. This experience made it clear that this place isn't right for my dad. When we left at 12:30, still hadn't shown up or apologized.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"

The rooms here are kinda small and tight. They're a bit brighter than The Waterford, but still kinda gloomy and look too much like a hospital. I'm not sure if this place would be right for my mom either. And it's a big problem that there's no parking for visitors.

"Cozy and Caring Assisted Living Gets Top Marks"

The place is really clean and feels like home. It's small, so everyone knows each other well, which makes it easy to hang out and go places together. The staff are super nice, patient, and really know their stuff.

Nice staff, good communication, less expensive, all-inclusive options, shared or single.

"Pleasant Tour of This Place"

My friend and I had a really good visit here. We spent most of our time with the manager, who was nice. The place looked clean and tidy. Everyone was friendly and respectful to us. They answered our questions, and we had a good experience.

"Tour was good but hospital messed up mom's paperwork. Communication lacking."

The tour was okay, but then the hospital messed up my mom's paperwork. I couldn't get back in touch with [Removed]. That's not cool. When you leave a message, you expect a response, especially when I'm trying to fix up my mom's papers.

"Disappointed with Communication at Signature Assisted Living"

The tour was good, but then the hospital made mistakes with my mom's paperwork. I tried to reach out to [Removed], but couldn't. It's important to return messages, especially when helping with important documents for my mom.

"Exploring Assisted Living for My Nearly Blind Husband"

Sylvia patiently helped me understand the changes for my husband and me. She was friendly and attentive, following my requests.

"Concerns After Two Weeks at Signature Senior Living"

My mom has been at Signature Senior Living for a fortnight now. In the beginning, everything appeared fine, but then she started getting puffy ankles that spread up her legs. We thought that the facility's doctor wasn't showing enough concern, so we decided to take mom to her personal physician. The doctor prescribed medicine for her, which is supposed to be taken for 5 days to help decrease the swelling.

"Failed to meet husband's dementia care needs; lacking secure unit."

The Signature Senior Living was okay, but it didn't work for my husband. They didn't have a special place for people with memory problems that need extra security, like my husband does.

"Great Meal Plans and Clean Environment at Signature Senior Living!"

I liked the food options at Signature Senior Living. They had different meal plans that caught my interest. They also seemed to understand about special diets for families. The info they gave me was useful overall. The place was really tidy. It had friendly folks both working and staying there.

"Not a Pleasant Experience"

We had a not-so-great experience at this community. Right now, my mom is in the hospital, but they haven't even called to check on her. The staff seemed to view my mom as a burden. They weren't attentive and made things difficult when she asked for help. The care they provide definitely needs improvement. It feels like they care more about money than her well-being.

"Great care and support make a real difference"

From the start, we felt like part of a family. Jennifer was amazing, helping us before my dad moved in and always being available for any questions or concerns. When my dad needed emergency care, it was reassuring to know Tracey, his case manager, was managing his care and keeping us updated, even from the hospital. She made sure my dad’s needs were taken care of and was our main contact. The staff is friendly, the other residents are engaging, and the place is clean. Even though you can't really put a price on good care, the cost is very reasonable.

"Great Transition and Communication!"

They helped my mom and dad adjust. They’re polite and keep us informed about their activities.

"Clean, Friendly, Great Rooms - Signature Senior Living Review"

I really liked it, it was clean and friendly. The rooms were great, even the shared ones were nice. I had a very good experience.

"Nice place, overall."

Our time at Sutton Gardens was short, but it felt nice. The place is clean, staff friendly. Costs rise for more services.

"Clean and friendly facility lacking handicap accessible showers."

I visited this place when I was checking out places for my family member's care. It looked really good and tidy, and the rooms were pretty spacious. Everyone I talked to who works there was nice and seemed to know what they were doing. But, we needed showers that were easy for people with disabilities to use, and they didn't have those. We picked a different place eventually, but this one could've been a choice too.

"Excellent Assisted Living: Great Communication, Care, and Facility"

We've had a great time at Signature Senior Living. They're really good at talking to families of patients, which we appreciate. The medical care is excellent and careful. Overall, it's a great place. They do really well.

"Inadequate care and overcharged at this assisted living facility"

This place wasn't the best fit for my Dad. He was only there for three days and they charged us way too much. My Dad has certain health needs and they knew about them before we moved him in. But they didn't provide the level of care he needed. Maybe if he could take care of his breakfast by himself, things might have been ok. Overall, I'm not satisfied. I wouldn't suggest this place if your loved one needs more serious care.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Positive Feedback from Distant Loved Ones"

I think everything is going well so far. Since I don't live nearby, I can't visit often. However, when I talk to my loved one, they haven't mentioned any problems. They seem quite happy with their experience.

"Spacious Rooms and Cool Fish Tank!"

Sadly, my tour got cut short because she wasn't around on Saturday. This place follows Glatt Kosher rules, which means no cream for coffee if they've served meat. The rooms are more spacious than most others, and they've done some nice renovations. Plus, there's a fantastic, big fish tank to watch in the lobby.

"Renovations and minor issues, but overall okay"

So far, it's going okay. There were some recent renovations, and we were worried they might bother the residents. Other than that, there haven't been any concerns. One time, a family member visited, and he hadn't been shaved. But we don't have any other complaints right now.

"A Family Friend's Praise Led to a Heartwarming Visit"

A family friend recently moved her dad to The Signature and had so many nice things to say about it, so I decided to check it out myself. I had visited this place a few months ago, around October, but it’s now under new ownership and has a new name. I called and spoke to a very friendly and clear receptionist who directed me to the admissions department. The admissions person took time to talk with me and gather information about my mom and me, and we set up an appointment. When I arrived, I couldn’t believe it was the old Scharome Manor. Wow, what a transformation! I was welcomed by Nora, who I think was the same person I spoke to on the phone, and Carmine, a handsome young man who said he was the maintenance supervisor. The dining room director, Senter, mentioned that they’re still working on the dining room and some other areas. My only suggestion is that they have two floors that still look like the old style, with outdated rooms and old carpets and wallpaper. If they renovate those floors, it could make the rooms on those floors more appealing. Other than that small issue, the place is fantastic! Two very kind and knowledgeable young women, Valerie and Traci, gave my friend Jenifer and me a tour. They seemed to know every resident by name and greeted them warmly. The staff here is amazing! I met housekeepers, maintenance workers, medication aides, dining room staff, recreation staff, and all their supervisors. Unlike other places I visited, the administrator himself came over to greet me, which was a huge plus. The staff here feels more like family than just coworkers, and they treat the residents the same way. Based on what I saw and what my friend said, I’m looking forward to moving my mom into The Signature when the time comes. I hope there will still be a spot available for us! Cheers to the staff at The Signature you really warmed my heart!

"Good Facility, Mom’s Happiness Not Guaranteed"

My mom’s stay here isn’t going great. The place looks good and is super clean, and everyone working here is super nice. But, my mom isn’t feeling too happy. She gets the most care they can give, which means she has to stay on the floor with folks who have dementia. My mom’s mind is sharp, and she doesn’t have friends to hang out with there. They said she could move to a different floor, but then she wouldn’t get the care she needs. Also, they’re really serious about following the Sabbath on Saturday. So, when I come to see her, I find everyone just sitting around doing nothing in the TV room. It would be nice if they had some activities for people who don’t follow the Sabbath that strictly.

"Very Happy with My Tour of the Facility"

I was really happy with my tour. The place was perfect for my aunt. We loved it. Jennifer was amazing and super helpful.
