"Poor Care and Boredom at Assisted Living Facility"
The only thing to do here is watch TV. There's barely any men, and my loved one didn't get physical therapy until the very end, and that only happened because his sister, her husband and I had to talk to the director about the lack of care he had been receiving. Before he was here, my person was at Burke Rehabilitation hospital for three and a half weeks, and his condition got worse at this place.

"Worst Experience at Sunrise of Crestwood Assisted Living!"
Sunrise of Crestwood is a terrible place! They failed to give my Dad a secure, clean, and comforting home when he needed it very much. The staff are awful and they never make it feel like home for my Dad, nor for our family and friends who visit. There are no fun activities for residents each day and no personal touches that show extra effort. I could not be more disappointed with the lack of care and empathy that he has received. This place is the worst!

"Thankful for Sunrise Assisted Living's Professional and Compassionate Care"
Sunrise takes great care of the people living there. They're nice and they act like pros. I'm really glad my family member lives there. Sunrise of Crestwood is a real blessing. We were hoping to find a place that would treat mom right and some legal experts suggested Sunrise of Crestwood.

"Positive Time at Assisted Living Home, Could Return"
My dad, who is 92, stayed there for a short period of time, around a month. Generally, we had a nice experience. The people working there were pleasant and got him to participate in events happening there. They also made time to talk with him patiently. We wouldn't mind using this place in the future.

"Good Facility, but Needs Better Waste Management"
We chose this place due to the quality of care, proximity, cleanliness, pleasant staff, and attention to residents. They do some things right like providing genuine care and scheduling activities for the residents, as well as maintaining a clean environment. However, they could get better by dealing with the frequent unpleasant smells from garbage in the hallways.

"Sunrise of Crestwood Earns Recommendation for Excellent Vegetarian Meals"
When our family member was in the hospital, we worried mostly about her food, especially because she's vegetarian. But when she moved to Sunrise, the chef made a special effort to meet her and specifically create vegetarian meals for her daily. This was incredibly helpful. From our experience, we think Sunrise of Crestwood does a great job, and we would suggest other families consider them too.

" "Sunrise of Crestwood: Affordable, Attentive Care for Loved One with Dementia""
Sunrise of Crestwood eased my fears about my family member with dementia. I was scared to start, but I've been happy with my decision. Sunrise of Crestwood is great and I would have moved her sooner if I had to redo it all. The workers are really nice and always willing to help. They contact me to tell me what's happening and always answer my questions without any annoyance. The food is pretty good, though my family member is pickier about it than I am. The dining room is nice and the servers are kind to everyone. It's much better here than having home care. Also, it costs less than half as much! Her room is wonderful and they suggest we bring stuff from home to make it feel more like her space. That's been a big help for her. The workers pay really close attention to what she needs and truly get to know her. They're so helpful in many ways. She's happy there and I feel good knowing that she's in good hands.

"Satisfied With Loved One's Assisted Living Facility Experience"
I wasn't able to look after my family member personally, so having him cared for is a big weight off my shoulders. The facility has a lot of activities on offer. My family member may not take part in many, but there's certainly an assortment of daily events. He's also a big fan of their food. I can't complain, especially now that I understand who's in charge of what. I'm glad that he's in a place where he feels content. He has his own room, equipped with a foyer office, a spacious bathroom, and a sufficient closet. You could go for a bigger room, but we didn't see the need for it. A bed, desk, chair, and night table are supplied, along with laundry and housekeeping services. He's particularly happy that snacks are available throughout the day. Everything is kept very clean; he has to pack his laundry in a bag the previous night, and his bed linen gets changed. The first couple of months were about familiarizing him with the environment and helping him understand responsibilities and procedures. More recently, they have started to care for him more frequently due to his health. I find the place easily reachable, he's comfortable, and gets along well with the staff. Living there is as satisfying as it gets for him.

"Fair Priced but Basic Assisted Living with Welcoming Staff"
We chose Sunrise of Crestwood since it's nearby and prices are fair. The sales director also gave us a discount on the community fee of half the usual price. The activities aren't as extravagant as other places, but they are absolutely right for her. The employees also make sure to welcome families who visit and they respond well to any concerns you might have. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone in need.

"Top-Notch Assisted Living Facility with Good Food and Activities"
I would totally tell other folks to think about this place for their own family. They always pick up the phone and call us if they have questions or worries about our family member. They are super considerate and kind. The food's pretty tasty and it feels like everyday meals. They let people living there have snacks too. And if someone doesn't like the meal, they'll try to find something else for them. There's a ton of things for the residents to do.

"Grateful Daughter Praises Quality Care at Sunrise of Crestwood"
For over three years, my mom stayed at Sunrise of Crestwood, mainly in the Memory community. She really liked spending time with other residents, participating in different activities, and felt comforted by the friendly and alert staff. The receptionists, management, cafeteria and cleaning staff, right down to the caregivers who took care of her every day, all made sure that she was comfortable and all her needs were filled. I've suggested this place to others as it's been great for my mom. As her daughter, connecting with others who've also had to move their loved ones into assisted living has been comforting. I'm grateful to the entire team for providing not just care for my mom but also peace of mind for our family.

"Unfit for Memory Care Residents, Perhaps Suitable for Assisted Living"
Sunrise of Crestwood said they could look after people with memory problems. They even said their team knew how to manage people with these issues. Despite these claims, in my opinion, this isn't a suitable facility for individuals with memory loss, although it might be decent for those who simply need assisted living.

"Looks clean, friendly staff, poor inter-department communication."
The place looks tidy and the workers are nice and eager to help. However, there's a problem with how different departments communicate. It's like one side of their team doesn't know what the other side is up to. Still, they are really thoughtful and they do a fantastic job looking after the residents.

"Nice Facility, Mediocre Food, Good Communication at Sunrise of Crestwood"
Sunrise of Crestwood offers great amenities like movie nights, games, and a good library. They also provide music and keep the folks entertained. However, the food they offer isn't very great. On the plus side, the place is beautiful and the outdoor porch adds to its charm. They have spacious studio apartments which add to their appeal. The staff is really good at keeping our family in the loop through email or phone calls. I feel safe and comfortable having my sister there!

"Facility Allowed Unauthorized Removal of Alzheimer's Patient"
My worst experience with my Alzheimer's-afflicted aunt's care was at this assisted living facility. I had legal oversight of my aunt, yet they let someone whisk her away without telling me. It was a total disaster. I was counting on them for support, but what did they do? Let another family member take her, without warning, to a lawyer's office to change legal oversight, and simply moved her out of Sunrise behind my back.

"A Beautiful Assisted Living Facility with Caring Staff"
This place is beautiful! It was really clean, and the staff was polite and well-dressed. The whole facility looked and smelled fresh. I visited during dinner time, and the food smelled delicious. The residents seemed happy, too. They can take care of all kinds of needs, from catheters to memory issues and mobility help. It's about a 20-minute drive from my home, and the cost is around $12,000 to $14,000 a month. I felt a bit sad seeing all the older people there and thinking about my own parents in that situation.

"Billing Issues but Great Care"
The facility is really nice and the staff is very friendly. They do a great job with their care services. However, I have one big complaint. Their financial department needs work. It feels like they change their prices randomly. I was told one rate, but after a few days, there were extra fees. I don't know where these fees are coming from, and I've had to talk to them many times about it. It feels like I'm paying for nothing. Overall, the place is great, the staff is nice, but they need to fix their billing problems.

My sister's stay at this assisted living facility has been pretty okay. There are some issues we're kind of worried about, but overall, it's a good place. I just wish they'd been more upfront about the kind of care they could actually offer, because I ended up having to find some extra help for her. It's not the best place around, but it's not all bad. "Promise Broken: Poor Communication and Delayed Refund"
The location of this care center was perfect, right between my family and me, and even closer for us to visit. They even had a cool swimming pool, which my dad loves. But then, just as we were ready to move him in, they called and said they couldn't meet my dad's needs. It threw us for a loop because my sister had been talking with them constantly about what dad required. We were left scrambling to find him a new place on short notice. I was even more annoyed when I realized they had cashed our deposit check and we had to wait for them to pay us back.

"Sunrise of Crestwood: Bad Decisions, Stress, and Disregard for Elders"
My family's encounter with Sunrise of Crestwood was seriously awful. We had no choice but to move our relative due to the staff making crucial decisions about their care without talking to our family or a doctor. The choices they made led to emotional turmoil and harm for our relative and landed us with excessive extra costs. The stress the managers caused my family is indescribable. The facility is suited for residents with nothing more than mobility issues. If your family member has other health or cognitive struggles, this just isn't the facility for them. The staff is young, unseasoned, and notably lacking in empathy for the aged. The executive director is new and clueless about operating an assisted living facility. Her reliance is on incumbent team members, such as the Care Manager, who is equally uninformed and impolite. The directors and managers, chiefly the Regional Nurse Manager, don't care about the residents' wellbeing. They regard residents more as burdens than human beings and treat them as such. As I said, your loved one might be okay here if they have no health or cognitive issues. But the moment there's a problem, be ready for the management to make terrible, significant decisions about their care without talking to the family or a doctor.

"Amazing experience at Sunrise at Crestwood!"
Sunrise at Crestwood is amazing! The director helped us lower our costs because we had a private aide. They call us whenever there’s an issue. I can’t say enough good things about them. The aides are much more personal here, and the staff is very professional. They know my mom’s name, which is nice. The environment is calm and peaceful. We looked at 12 places before choosing another facility that wasn’t good, so I’m really glad we switched here. I wish they had physical therapy on-site since they do it through the hospital, which can be inconvenient. Overall, it’s been a wonderful experience!

"Crestwood: A True Home for Mom"
My experience at Crestwood started when I walked in and saw many residents enjoying different activities. I met Diane, the director, who told me that Crestwood focuses on getting residents out of their rooms to engage with others. Jason and Diane helped me understand the financials and explained all the costs clearly, so there were no surprises. After two weeks, I saw how much the staff cared for the residents every day. I joined my mom during her meals and was impressed by the clean dining area, fresh flowers on each table, and a menu to choose from. The respect and dignity they show the residents are clear. Their medical care is top-notch and very attentive. My mom is happy to call Crestwood “home,” and I feel at peace knowing she is well cared for in so many ways.

My loved one stayed here for a short time. I was impressed by the facility; it's nice, clean, and well-kept. The staff are all very friendly, and they offer a lot. However, we chose a shared room, and Dad's roommate was difficult to live with. This made Dad's experience bad, and he didn't want to stay. It's a shame because I liked the place. "Staff Friendliness at Sunrise Assisted Living is Hit-or-Miss"
My mom lives there, and how friendly the workers are depends on who is taking care of her. Some aids are great, some aren't, just like anywhere else. Certain workers could definitely be nicer. Some are superb but there are a few who seemingly couldn't care less. I wish they all had more patience. We're going through some stuff with my mom right now. "mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility’s Capabilities"
The folks who work in this assisted living facility should take the time to really get the needs and wants of the person they're helping and tailor their care to fit that. For instance, some people can't move around on their own. They have to wait for help to get back to their room if they want to go, and they don't always want to just sit in the lobby all day long. This means the staff has to put in more effort to meet those needs. Some workers really seem to care, but others act like they'd rather be anywhere else. It seems to me that if a person doesn't need much help, then this is a top-notch place. And even better if the person can mostly take care of themselves. But if a person needs more and more help, the workers can't always keep up with that, which I think is a real downside to this kind of living.

"Food Quality Needs Major Improvement"
I’d love to give them a 5-star rating, but my uncle isn’t happy with the food. He says it’s never hot always cold. The dining room service is really bad, too. If you send the food back, it just comes back burnt. We went to a barbeque there recently and it was great, so my uncle wonders why they can’t cook like that all the time. With how much money is being paid, you should at least get hot food. The medical staff and nurses are amazing, though. Besides the food, my uncle is very happy there. Out of the 10 or 12 places we visited, this one felt the most comfortable and homey. It doesn’t look like a hospital.

I visited Sunrise (Crestwood) with the Director. It’s a good option because it’s in a great location next to a shopping mall and easy to get to.
