"Sunrise Assisted Living: Grateful for Exceptional End-of-life Care"
My mom stayed at Sunrise in New City for almost three years before she passed away in hospice. The kindness and attention she and my family got during those years still warms my heart when I think back to that period in our lives. The caregivers prayed with her, sang to her, respected her and expertly took great care of her. I'll always be grateful to Sunrise for making my mom's final days the best they could be.

"Unparalleled Love and Care at Sunrise Senior Living"
My dear 93-year-old mom lived in the Memory Care unit at Sunrise Senior Living in New City for the last year and a half. The love and warmth she got there were unrivalled. Everyone who works there, from the Director to the helpers and front desk people, treats the residents and their families like family. You can truly see they're doing their part to help, especially those in the Memory Care unit. They're wonderful at keeping us posted on any situations. Moving mom into the facility after living at home for 63 years was a tough and emotional choice. But, Sunrise made the change easier. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice.

"Exceptional Care Experience at Sunrise’s Memory Care"
In 2019, my mother-in-law began living in Sunrise's Memory Care unit. For four years, she was treated like part of the Sunrise family, always comfortable and well taken care of. The staff was amazing, especially a few individuals who were particularly outstanding, including the facility's manager. They made sure to keep us in the loop about mom's condition, and we always knew she was in great hands. Sunrise surpassed our expectations with its high-quality care during this important moment of change for our family.

"Relieved that Mom is Well Cared for at New City"
My Mom really loves living at Sunrise of New City. I'm seriously relieved that she's getting proper care. We totally think other families should try this place.

"Decent Facility, Not Ideal for Mobile Seniors"
Sunrise of New City was only alright, but it didn't suit my parents. The majority of people there were in wheelchairs, requiring help with every task. The environment just wasn't a good fit for my parents. However, it might be a good place for those who can't get around easily.

"Excellent 30-Day Program and Friendly Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
The so-called "30-day Road Home" program was a success for us. The place was quite pleasant, and the staff were always ready and willing to help. The building itself was great and the food served was delicious. And everyone, without exception, was friendly and welcoming.

"Exemplary Service and Compassionate Care at Sunrise Assisted Living"
Our family had a fantastic time interacting with everyone at Sunrise Assisted Living. The place itself looked beautiful, and the nurses were full of kindness. The management and cleaning staff were all great. The director, sales head, and the supervisors of nursing, housekeeping, and office work gave us their personal cellphone numbers for any concerns or questions. Whenever we called, they were always prepared or sought out solutions, demonstrating their dedication towards their residents and their families. They also frequently checked on us and were always ready to help us whenever needed. Sunrise even let us have a pet for our family member nearing end of life. They helped us handle the necessary paperwork so our relative could have a comforting pet that was also approved to interact safely with the staff and other residents (although the latter never occurred). Our family and friends were always welcome, regardless of the time. Though we only spent three months there, it made dealing with a challenging situation easier. Our loved one needed hospice care. But whenever we required help from the Sunrise nurses or had housekeeping requests or questions, they were incredibly supportive. Our family member could not take part in anything due to her health, yet there were plenty of events available that got good attendance.

" "Aging in Place" Possible thanks to Sunrise and Hospice "
Sunrise is able to let my dad "grow old" there. Despite his health going downhill, they've teamed up with Hospice to provide him with necessary care and warmth.

"Exceptional Care and Compassion at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom was only there for 5 days, but the staff was truly incredible. They took great care of her right from the beginning till the end. They were always there when we needed them, showing a lot of compassion. This kindness wasn't just for my mom, but for our whole family too.

"High-Cost Assisted Living with Less Staff but Good Care"
They don't have enough staff. The food's good, no issues there. Yes, it costs a lot but the service is worth the price. We chose this place because they could look after both my parents suitably. I'd suggest it to other families.

"High Costs and Broken Promises at Sunrise of New City"
Sunrise of New City might look good, but it's really let me down. We were told one thing and given something completely different. We saw staff like the activities coordinator and the person in charge of our care just walk out. Plus, they didn't have enough people because so many staff members had left. The employees they did have were doing tasks that weren't even part of their jobs. Besides, they weren't good at keeping us in the loop. The cost was way too high, especially when we weren't getting what they had guaranteed.

"Significantly Unsatisfied with Sunrise New City Facility"
Absolutely terrible place. We are extremely upset we moved to Sunrise New City. The facility is quite filthy, with an unbelievably unfriendly staff. The care services are atrocious. I've not had the displeasure of eating there yet, but according to my mom, it's tolerable. As for the activities, they are dreadful. My mom rarely participates, and often locks herself in when I come to visit, forcing me to wait until it's finished. Whenever someone asks, I warn them about this awful place! I would definitely not recommend it over the previous facility we were at.

"Mom's Assisted Living Needs Better Food, Hard to Contact Staff"
Many times, I struggle to reach the staff. My mom isn't a fan of the food. Given the price, I had higher expectations. It's not the Wildwood or the Ritz Carlton, just average. Personally, I would choose a different facility since it looks better, but mom prefers Sunrise. In general, mom is content with everything except the meals could be better and there should be more options on the menu.

"Clean facility with friendly staff, extra costs for TV"
This place is really neat, and the people working there are nice. But, sometimes the care feels a bit too much and we kinda hoped cable and TV would be part of the rent, but it's not, which makes it cost a bit more. Still, from what we've seen, we'd tell other families it's a good place.

"Chose Different Facility; Felt Sunrise's Memory Care Too Isolated"
My family was considering making a deposit at Sunrise of New City for my mom. However, when we looked closer, they recommended memory care for her. This part of the facility is on the first floor and it felt rather isolated. It was small and I didn't believe my mom would do well there. So, we chose a different place. I must say, their tour was comprehensive, answering all our questions and they didn't rush us.

"Inconsistent Care and Poor COVID Protocols at Facility"
I liked the activities they had for everyone and my relative's room was pretty good. But, they didn't check in about his care plan often enough. I didn't think their rules for handling COVID were good at all. Also, the quality of care changed a lot depending on who was working. Some of the staff were kind, but others weren't.

"Disappointing Care at Assisted Living, Unmet Medical and Medication Needs"
Our family unfortunately had an unsatisfactory stay at this assisted living facility. It's uncertain whether this was due to poor staffing or not, but maybe it's improved by now. On the dementia and Alzheimer's ward, we felt they weren't equipped to handle those specific healthcare needs. Quite a few residents ended up in the emergency room due to behavioral issues. They also failed to manage our family member's medication correctly, leading to withdrawal symptoms.

"Impressive Assisted Living Facility, Perfect if Affordable"
Took a tour of this amazing place, they've got super friendly staff. I even saw a cute therapy dog that made me really happy. They plan a lot of activities and outings, and they've got a range of options for my mom. If I had the finances, it would certainly be a top choice.

"Clean place with friendly staff!"
The place was very clean. They had a great daily activity menu, and many people were involved in activities. The rooms were nice, and the social areas were welcoming. The dining room was comfortable. The parking lot was full, so we had to park down the street, which was a setback. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to.
