" "Neglectful Staff and Poor Conditions at Assisted Living Facility""
This place is awful! The facility is forever messy, their food options are severely lacking, and they leave my mother neglected most of the time! The staff are negligent and uncaring. They make my mother feel like she's in some poor-quality institution!

"Unsatisfactory Basic Care Despite High Fee at North Lynbrook"
Sunrise of North Lynbrook is undoubtedly tidy with numerous activities, but they seem to struggle with providing basic care, like showering and dressing my partner. I find myself doing a good deal of this upkeep, which is unreasonable for fee a month.

"Deceptive Care Facility, Not Happy with Mother-in-Law's Stay"
This review has been rephrased to match a 0-star rating and has deliberately dismissed the previous positive comments: 'I have dropped in on my mother-in-law a few times here. The place looks okay, but it's just a façade. Honestly, everyone just pretends to be pleased. There's a whole bunch of activities, but they're all boring. And the staff? Well, let's just say they're there, but not really helpful. I'm positive this isn't the best scenario for my mother-in-law and we're not at all happy knowing she's here.'

"Outstanding Care at Sunrise Assisted Living Gives Distant Son Relief"
My mom has been at Sunrise for a while now, and knowing she's there helps me sleep at night. I live in Florida and can only visit once a year. I am truly satisfied with how well managed Sunrise is, and I want to praise Larissa and the fantastic nurses, caregivers, and kitchen staff who look after the residents there. Even though my brothers and sisters live close by and visit often, it's one less concern for me to handle and provides a bit of relief.

"Exemplary Staff and Service at Sunrise Assisted Living"
My mom and dad both went to Sunrise this year when things were really tough. The people working there were so kind and easy to work with as we faced this really hard time. Mom and dad have gotten used to it way quicker than we thought they would, and they're really happy there. Whenever we need something, the Sunrise staff is awesome - they always help out and are super on top of things. Sunrise has taken a lot of worry off of our shoulders during one of the roughest times in our lives.

"Exceptional Care and Communication at Sunrise in N Lynbrook"
Helping a family member move into an assisted living facility can be hard. We usually have a vision of what we want for them, and often fear that we might have to settle for less. But at Sunrise in N Lynbrook, this isn't the case! The nursing team in the wellness department is highly skilled and brings their knowledge and skills to help the residents. They communicate extremely well with both doctors and family members, surpassing my expectations. Their regular updates really show the level of care provided and what might be needed down the road. They offer a variety of daily activities tailored to residents' interests. The management team is easy to reach and keeps you updated about any changes that might impact the community. But what really stands out? Their genuine care. It's evident in the kindness with which they treat their residents, and their deep understanding of their individual needs and personalities.

"Proud Sister Praises Welcoming Assisted Living Facility"
I went by Sunrise at North Lynbrook to see my sister who works there. I haven't been in an assisted living place since our grandma died years back. The building was nice-looking from the outside and comfy inside. My sister's residents seemed involved in the activity in the main living area. All the workers were smiling the whole time I was there. They greeted me right away with a friendly "good morning" or "hello." I felt wanted the whole time. If our grandma was still around, this would be the ideal place for her. I'm really proud of my sister for taking care of these older folks every single day.

"Don't Recommend Sunrise of North Lynbrook: Lack of Care"
My whole family is really upset with the care our mom is getting at Sunrise of North Lynbrook. Nobody working there ever smiles at you. There's little to no activities to pick from, and they're all pretty boring. The staff doesn't have any patience, and they don't build any kind of meaningful relationship with the residents which just shows how uncaring they really are. I absolutely don't recommend it.

"Facility Lacks Comfort, Care, Cleanliness, And Quality Activities"
This place is nothing like a cozy home which my Mom should feel relaxed in. The Sunrise team doesn't feel at all like a part of our family, they don't show any real care or communicate properly. The activities aren't keeping my Mom entertained, the food isn't tasty, the place isn't kept clean, and the management is awful.

"North Lynbrook Assisted Living Facility Goes Above and Beyond"
My brother lives at Sunrise of North Lynbrook where the workers and bosses have treated him like family. They've done everything they could, from helping him do paperwork to handling difficult family stuff. They even coordinated two ambulance rides that saved his life. All the employees there are so nice, and I hope they'll be around as we get older.

"Perfect Home: The Heroic Support of Sunrise N. Lynbrook Staff"
Six years back, my family faced a difficult time when my mother, who was living alone in Florida, was diagnosed with dementia. Lost and uncertain, we discovered Sunrise of N. Lynbrook. Their team were able to reassure us and helped them smoothly adjust. It was clear that the staff calmed my mom, giving her individualized attention. Since then, our experience has been exceptional, with the staff playing a key role. Last year, another ordeal arose when my mom fractured her hip, requiring a replacement. This was a stressful period, with my mom, a dementia patient, facing unfamiliar settings in the hospital and rehab. Astonishingly, the Sunrise staff visited her at her rehab facility, significantly aiding her in this challenging period. They made her return to Sunrise a breeze. It's hard to put into words, but we're incredibly fortunate to have stumbled upon this magnificent place for my mom. That's why I refer to it as “the Perfect Home”. My deepest thanks to Sunrise of N. Lynbrook.

"Lack of Proper Care and Communication in Assisted Living Facility"
I'd say to others to think twice before sending their loved ones to this community for assisted living. The staff barely lifted a finger to help, showed no manners, and the care they provided to our family and loved one was downright terrible. Romanticizing the way the staff communicated with us wouldn't be fair; they rarely gave us time, were misleading and often left us in the dark about our loved one or any changes.

"Exceptional Services and Staff at Sunrise of North Lynbrook"
My family has visited multiple assisted living facilities with our relative, but none compare to the experience at Sunrise of North Lynbrook. We've been really pleased so far. The grounds are stunning and the employees are not only friendly, but also exceptional at their jobs. They keep us well-informed about our relative and show a genuine, family-like care for their residents. The quality of the kitchen is impressive, something we'd like for our own home. They cater to our relative's special dietary needs by preparing pureed meals. Plus, they make sure residents are active daily and encourage interaction with other residents.

"Overall Good Service but Too Expensive"
All is good here, I can't fuss. The workers are awesome. They keep it spotless. They take wonderful care of the folks living here. My family member enjoys the meals and appears content. They're always doing something in the memory care part. It's just that it costs a lot.

"Great for Memor-care, Less Ideal For Active Seniors"
This place may not suit seniors who are still active. Still, it's great for those who need help with their memory. It seemed like the workers paid more attention to residents during weekdays than on weekends. Every worker was kind and friendly to residents and their families.

This community is great, and my mom is happy here. I was really impressed with how fast the staff respond. Right now, they have a flu outbreak, but they handled it quickly. I'm very happy with everything they've done for our family. The staff is really on top of things. They are caring and kind. Everyone is super friendly. The residents are well cared for here. "This Place is Disappointing and Misleading"
My relative really struggled at this place. He fell a lot and actually had to be taken to the hospital. The folks who took care of him didn't put in enough effort and were dishonest about how they looked after him. Even though we paid for extra stuff, he never got it. They just handed him his meals, never offering a choice. They completely ignored his special diet. Also, they didn't do anything to make sure residents stay active. Problems were ignored unless I was there to point them out. Overall, it's been a really unpleasant experience.

"Caring Community with Variety of Activities"
The staff at this place take good care of my mother-in-law's personal needs. She mentioned that sometimes they take a while to respond. They have activities like bingo every day. The place is clean and well-kept. The food looks pretty good. Two doctors visit once a week, and the one I've met is really great. She feels independent and not like she's causing problems for the family. I'm confident she's being looked after, and I would suggest this place to others.

Mom enjoys activities like exercises, music, and word games. The food is delicious, especially the homemade strawberry ice cream and cookies throughout the week. "Compassionate staff and decent meals; good for elderly care."
My dad moved into the community since I live far away. I visited only once, but I ate a couple of meals with him. The food there is okay, nothing fancy. When I was at Sunrise, the people who work there were really kind and caring. My mom was worried about how well he was taking his medicine and if he was getting to the bathroom on time. My dad has been taking part in a lot of the activities they have there. I think this is a good place for him to be.

"Exceptionally Unhappy with Disregard for Doctor's Medications Instructions"
Extremely let down. My mother-in-law lives at this place, and she's not in good enough shape to request her prescribed medication for stomach pain, which she needs three times a day. We - her kids - have told the staff that she needs these meds, or else she will be in significant discomfort. But they still insist that they asked her, and she didn't say she needed them. She's no longer able to speak up for herself as her last days are nearing. Both us and her doctor just want her to be at ease, but the people here are not following the physician's directives.

"Assistant Living Facility Fails to Provide Adequate Care"
I'm extremely disappointed. My mother moved here for help with her medication. They promised to give it to her every six hours, but let 13 hours pass without it, causing her a lot of pain. I spoke with the supervisor who assured me it wouldn't happen again, but the next day was a repeat of the previous one - a downright awful experience. Their attitudes are friendly enough, but they just don't know what they're doing.

My grandma likes it there and smiles often. It costs a lot, though. She doesn't like the food much, but enjoys the things they do together. The breakfast is yummy, but other meals aren't as great.
