"Tennyson Falls Short in Resident Care"

I felt the staff lacked proper training. My mom and others were often left alone. The 'social model' didn't seem effective. Tennyson should focus more on residents' medical well-being. Overall, I wasn't satisfied with Tennyson.

"Inadequate Care at Tennyson for High-Needs Individuals"

Tennyson Court wasn't enough for my mom's needs. It might be good for folks who can mostly take care of themselves and just need someone to look after them occasionally. But my mom required much more help than that.

"Missed Opportunities at Assisted Living Facility"

It's a pretty nice place, but the staff could have been more helpful to me and my loved one. My mom should have been in memory care from the beginning, and they should have done a better job during the interview process.

"Clean, friendly place with lots of activities and good food"

We really liked how clean this place is and how it's set up. They have different clusters in the dining area, which makes it feel more personal. They offer lots of activities like bingo, trivia, and ice cream socials, which our loved one enjoys. They used to have yoga, but COVID made it hard to keep that going. During our tour, we saw the rooms, and they looked nice, though we haven't seen our loved one’s room yet. Our loved one thinks the food is okay.

"Excellent care and family support at Tennyson Assisted Living"

My mom has lived at Tennyson Assisted Living for over 3 years, and she’ll soon be moving to their Memory Care unit. The care she’s received from the nurse’s aides, nursing staff, and everyone else has been outstanding. They’ve treated her with dignity and compassion, even as her mental health has declined. Tennyson doesn’t just provide great care; they also support families well. We’re always updated on activities, any incidents, and they host events for families. Plus, the food at these events is really good! My family and I are very pleased with the care my mom has received.

"Neglect and Deception: High Fees, Low Care at This Facility"

Regrettably, my relative resides in this facility right now. The administrator made unfounded claims regarding the number of medical staff that would be available to our family member. They suggested there would be one nurse and three aides for each residential area, which is far from the reality. Cleverly enough, they maintain the "legal minimum" with just one nurse during day shift, and then they assert that an "Activities" personnel is deemed an aide. However, when questioned, these supposed aides are unaware that they're classified as such. Furthermore, the employees have been discourteous and neglectful towards residents. Coupled with their exorbitant rates which do not match the level of service, it's honestly absurd. They can't even manage simple tasks like clothing maintenance.

"Consider alternatives before choosing Tennyson Courts assisted living."

My mom lives at Tennyson Courts assisted living. If I could, I'd move her somewhere else quickly. In the year and a half she's been there, we've had lots of problems with her medical care and getting help with daily tasks. They've had three different bosses in that time, and when the first one left, a lot of the other managers left too. The staff changing so much means the care isn't very good. They keep all the medical records on paper instead of using computers, so I've seen the nurses searching through folders and papers to find things. It's silly. When we've had problems, the staff haven't been very helpful. Don't trust them with your loved one!

"Great Service and Clean, Modern Facilities"

The service here is super personalized, and everything is really clean and modern. The standard rooms are a bit small but still okay. The larger rooms are nice, though some have weird shapes. The kitchenette is pretty tiny.

"Mixed Feelings About Memory Care Assisted Living"

This place feels kinda like a big home with nice spots to hang out. But, we thought mom would get out of her room more. The person who showed us around was really nice. It's only for people with memory issues, and we don't think mom needs that yet.

"Excellent Care and Clean Facilities."

This place is really nice, and the staff is super caring. The food looks good, and the community is clean all around. They have activities, though my sister-in-law isn't joining in right now. I would definitely suggest this place to other families for good care.

"Great Start with Helpful Staff"

I haven't been here long just 2 or 3 days but everything seems great so far. The staff has been really helpful with getting me settled. We're very happy with it.

"Lovely place, but too expensive for me"

This place is really nice, but I can't afford it.

"Assisted Living Facility: A Nice Place with Minimal Assistance"

This place looked pretty good. But I was a bit disappointed about the assistance they promised. When you need something, they don't really help much. We picked this place second, but we did like how they had houses and small groups. Lots of fun stuff going on in the front, and the surroundings were beautiful. They even had a picnic, and the people living there were joining in.

"Decent, but small rooms and private pay didn't suit us."

It wasn't bad, the place was good but the rooms were tiny. The shared spaces were pleasant and snug. They weren't accepting any sort of insurance, so that didn't fit our needs. Despite this, the woman was super nice and even suggested another place in Cheektowaga.

"Satisfied with assisted living, just wish for smoother transitions."

I really like this place; I'm glad I picked it. The only thing I wish is that they had a time for new people to meet Mom before they come into her room. She doesn't like it when strangers just walk in. But other than that, everything else is really good.

"Cozy Cottage style Assisted Living Impresses with Intimate Atmosphere"

I really enjoyed the assisted living facility. It had a cozy cottage style, and each cottage housed only 14 residents. I'm still thinking about it.

"Helpful Staff, But No Swimming Pool in Sight"

The place offers assistance but lacks a swimming pool?
