"Director promises differ from reality. Average communication. Research before deciding."
The person in charge tells you what you want to hear instead of what's true. Talking between families and workers is okay. People should look into this place before choosing it.

"Mixed Experience in Assisted Living: Reactive Staff Despite Nice Environment"
My mom and dad stayed here from September to Spring. Overall, it was a good experience. Mom was in Reflections Memory care, and Dad in assisted living. Dad had stage 4 cancer and was challenging, but the staff was very kind and the place was

"Bristal: A Nightmare and Major Disappointment"
This place is a total nightmare. When our family was already struggling with our Mom's early dementia, they just added more stress to our complicated situation. They utterly lack the necessary resources to adequately care for adults dealing with any form of cognitive disorder. They leave their residents who need mental health assistance high and dry, especially in the evening when such issues can become more challenging. When problems arose, the nurses lacked professionalism, resorting to yelling at me over the phone. Even though they advertise several care options before the full memory care unit, they strong-armed me into hiring expensive full-time aides, costing over $20,000 a month, on top of their own fees. These unreasonable demands were not just limited to us - I witnessed other residents dealing with similar outcomes during my mom's short period at the Bristal. The management showed no empathy, coldly dismissing us after receiving our money. If there was an option to give them no stars, I surely would. This whole experience was extremely disheartening and entirely unsatisfactory.

"Caring, Clean, and Comforting with Excellent Medical Care"
I have only great things to say about The Bristal in Armonk. My elderly mom lived there until she recently passed away peacefully. The staff is amazing. What really stands out at The Bristal compared to other places we’ve used for our parents is the excellent medical care from the Wellness department. Having a nurse on-site all the time was so reassuring, especially when mom got sick. The senior leadership is available and helpful, making sure all activities, meals, and cleanliness are top-notch. Highly recommended!

We moved my mom to The Bristal in Armonk a year ago. At first, she didn’t want to leave her home and friends of 30 years. To our surprise, she enjoyed being at The Bristal from the very first day. She made some amazing new friends and found the staff to be attentive and caring. She really liked the food and the atmosphere. The special events and activities, especially during the holidays, made The Bristal feel like home.

"Great choice"
My mom spent her last years at the Bristol in Armonk. She made awesome friends there. Even though she didn't want to admit it, she felt lonely living alone. I was always there for her, but having other people around and good medical care for her diabetes really helped. The staff at the Bristol, from the wellness center to the kitchen, were so caring. They treated my mom with a lot of respect. My kids loved visiting her and joining in on activities.

"Inexperienced Leader, High Costs at Assisted Living Facility"
The staff changes a lot at this place, and the big boss is a woman who's really young and doesn't really know what she's doing. It seems like the only reason she has the job is because her father gave it to her. Be careful and really look at your bills, because they're tricky and sometimes try to make you pay for things you didn't even get. Plus, every year, the price you have to pay for the place goes up. On the bright side, the place is clean and you'll feel safe there. The food isn't half bad either. But honestly, I think the people running this joint are up to something shady, and someone should really look into it.

"Outstanding Commitment to Residents"
My parents stayed at The Bristal, and everyone there was super dedicated to making their time enjoyable. The staff and leaders really care about each resident and listen to any concerns they have. My Dad needed special care, and I was always impressed with how much time and effort the staff and leaders put into finding the best way to help him. I highly recommend The Bristal to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.

"Very Nice, Safe Community"
So far, everything is going well for my sister since she moved to this community. It's a nice, safe place, and she's doing well. The staff is great and taking good care of her. She's only been here for a few weeks, but so far we have no complaints or issues with this place. It's a really nice facility, and I would recommend it.

"Disheartened by bed bug issue at the facility less care"
My time with this assisted living facility was really disheartening. I didn't like how they took care of my mom at all. She caught bed bugs there and so, I had to switch her to another place. Luckily, I found a better one that met our requirements.

"Outdated Assisted Living Facility with Stressed Staff and Limited Activities"
The Bristal at Armonk felt really dark. The nurses seemed stressed and annoyed. The residents were all crowded into a small area during my visit, and there weren't many activities, which I didn't like. They also seemed upset. Overall, it looked outdated.

"Poorly Lit, Cramped, and Outdated Senior Facility!"
The Bristal at Armonk was too dimly lit during my visit. The nurses there appeared stressed and seemed irritated. The people living there were all kept in a relatively tiny area when I was there, and it seemed like they had few things to do, which I wasn't happy about. The residents also seemed unhappy. The overall appearance of the place seems old fashioned.

"NEW BOSSES AGAIN-NO STABILITY!"
Came back for another look. Folks here don't appear joyful. There's different management, again. No steady leaders in charge. I'd advise against dropping by.

"Outstanding Care and Supportive Staff at The Bristal!!"
The Bristal offers amazing, personalized care for residents and their families. I’ve had the chance to work closely with The Bristal team, and they go above and beyond to give great attention to each resident. With a dedicated and caring Executive Director leading the way, they achieve this through excellent communication with every resident and their family members, working together to provide the best care and services. The Housekeeping and Wellness teams, along with their support staff, really understand how to help. Great building, fantastic team, and a wonderful atmosphere!

"5-Star Care All the Way!!!"
The Bristal is a beautiful, five-star place to live. The grounds are lovely, and the staff is always quick to help. Lesha at the front desk always greets everyone with a smile. There have been many changes at the Bristal, and it seems they are heading in a great direction. Customer service and responses to families and residents have improved a lot. I think strong leadership is key, and the new Director is setting high standards for quality care. Caring, compassion, and respect are now the main focus at the Bristal, and we are happy to be part of this amazing journey.

"Great Environment-Caring Staff"
As the son of a resident at the Bristal, I want to share what a fantastic place it is. The staff is always attentive and responsive. The management, including the Executive Director, knows everyone's name and is always willing to help. The care aides go above and beyond, even with the challenges our loved ones present every day. The building is clean and beautiful. Two thumbs up for the team you can see they love what they do every day.

"New Director Makes Big Difference at Bristal Armonk!"
I live at Bristal Armonk and came back as a permanent resident after a month here last year. The new Director, Ms. Johnson, has made a big difference. She's caring, professional, and excellent with customer service, which has clearly influenced her staff. The aides and front desk workers are very helpful. If there's ever an issue, we know to go to Ms. Johnson, and she’ll sort it out. Thanks to Bristal and its management!

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Nice place. The apartment we saw had a big walk-in closet. But I didn't like the 'assigned seating at dinner'—felt like prison. No rides to doctor appointments, and it's expensive. The menu is just okay.

"Beautiful Facility, But Lacking in Execution"
This assisted living home, despite being only a little over a year old and looking as fancy as a high-end hotel, has some bumps to iron out. They offer activities constantly, and generally the employees are welcoming and willing to help. But they also have quite a few issues. For example, the sales person we worked with didn't do a good job at explaining things, which caused some confusion with other departments later on. Plus, they won't give you a detailed receipt when you make your first payment of over $10,000, which doesn't seem right. The contract leaves out important details about how things work, too. Things like vitamins and over-the-counter drugs count as medication and have to be handled by the staff, which ends up costing the residents more. They also overcharge us for the help we're supposed to receive, and they won't explain why by telling us how many hours the staff spend on each service. The food's usually good, but it takes forever to get your meal because the dining room staff can't seem to get orders out on time. And even though most people here don't drive themselves, they still won't offer rides to the doctor's office, even though there's a big hospital only 6 miles away. I'm hopeful that they'll work on these problems, but for now it's a bit of a mess.

“It’s a good place, and I would recommend it. It’s very clean, and the staff is friendly. The food has been good so far. I haven’t had any complaints. No one is perfect, but I’d give them four and a half out of five.

"Very impressed by the community and attentive staff"
We visited this community and were really impressed! The residents seem to be in good mental shape and are social. The staff are caring and attentive, and even though they don’t need to do a lot of hands-on care, they still keep a close watch on everyone.

"The Bristol at Armonk: A New Home for Dad"
My dad has been at the Bristol for a little over a week. He was planning to move in with my mom, but she passed away before that could happen. The staff at the Bristol is amazing, from the executive director to the housekeeping staff. They are friendly, compassionate, and very patient. They have seen my dad’s magic tricks at least a dozen times, but they always act delighted and surprised, like it’s the first time. The building and grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. My dad spends at least an hour a day at the gym and is excited about the new putting green and pool. The place is a bit too quiet for his taste, but he says new people are moving in every day. Our only complaint is that the food is too good and there’s too much of it. He told me today he wants to lose 5 pounds. I would recommend the Bristol to any family looking for a great place for their loved one. It’s still hard for me to say goodbye to him every day, but I think it’s harder for me than for him. It’s like when I left my kids at college. I know my dad has found a new home, and it really is sweet. I hope this review is helpful.
