"Money-Driven Facility Irresponsibly Cares for Memory-Impaired Loved Ones"

You should really reconsider before leaving your family member at this place. Once they're there, it's incredibly difficult to take them out. Their primary interest is in profits, caring more about money than the rights of the people there. Financial benefit seems to be their main concern, especially for those like my father's spouse, who placed him there. Currently, my dad is located in the "memory care" section of the facility. You might know it as the area with locked doors that most people can't see behind; The section where helpless, nonverbal individuals relying on wheelchairs for mobility, incapable of looking after themselves, are placed. Apart from some memory-related issues, my father is in no condition to be restricted in a space of only two rooms. They want you to believe I am denying his current state, but that's far from the truth. They consistently twist facts to try making you question your sanity with statements like "we see this all the time," and "it's a family issue." They will try to discredit you, even though you are his immediate family. The case manager has her own set of motives. Please see the rest of my review on Yelp.

"Poor Dining Service Makes Bristal at Garden City Unrecommendable"

At first, we picked the Bristal at Garden City because it was close, fresh and clean. We hoped the services would be top-notch, but they fell short. The rooms were a good size though. The food service here is terrible. They often ran out of food. I give it a thumbs down for the larger community.

"Disappointing Experience Despite Appealing Appearance at Assisted Living Facility"

Don't be tricked by the pretty yard, nice interior design, and fancy names for rooms. What really matters here is how they take care of residents. The nighttime helpers don't seem to care much. The daytime staff only seem happy when family visits. Who knows what actually goes on when we're away. The so-called "Reflections" area is a big letdown. I definitely wouldn't suggest this place to anybody.

"Wonderful Care for Parkinson's and Dementia Patients"

My husband stayed at the Bristal at Garden City for the first six months it was open. He was in the reflection unit, and the care he got was wonderful. The staff, led by [name removed], was caring and attentive. [Name removed] is a very special person. Her team was very kind and understanding of his Parkinson's and dementia. When it was time for Hospice, the care was excellent. Thank you to everyone in the reflections unit.
