"Lack of attentive care warrants caution."

If your loved one can't manage alone, watch closely. Not recommended.

"Highly recommended despite cost, food quality varied due to COVID"

I recommend this community to friends, despite high costs.

"Fantastic staff and activities, highly recommended!"

My mom has been here for a few months now. She couldn't be left alone anymore but didn't need nursing home care. In just a few months, she's changed so much—she's like a new person! She's made new friends, does activities, and is much more social. The staff is what I call "so stinking nice." Everyone from the front desk to the maintenance workers to the dining room staff is just GREAT! She gets her meds on time, and her room is so nice I could live there! From church bus on Sunday mornings to movies and Bingo, there's always something to keep her active. If you're thinking about places for a loved one, you owe it to yourself to check out The Bristal.

"Nice facility but too fancy and expensive for my dad"

The facility was really nice. The person who gave the tour answered all my questions. However, it wasn’t the best fit for my dad. It was a bit too fancy for him and the costs were quite high.

"Brackets"

My mom had a rough time at the Bristol in Holtsville. Sure, their sales talk sounded good, but she did not enjoy her time spent there at all. I can't tell others to go there because of things like broken elevators, bad food, and poor care.' : "Mom's Bad Experience at Bristol in Holtsville

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

The assisted living facility has a nice building and offers good services. However, the units are pricey considering the location. It's right next to the Long Island Expressway and backs up onto a parking lot, which can be quite depressing. There are no trees in sight. If someone never leaves the building, it might be okay. But overall, it feels very institutional and is surrounded by asphalt.

"Nice but not for us."

I wanted a one-bedroom for my wife. This place seemed nice and lively, but after checking out others, it didn't feel like the right choice.

"Clean and welcoming place with helpful staff and easy navigation!"

This place was super clean when I went for a tour. The person who showed us around was really nice and took her time to answer all our questions patiently. The layout of the rooms was open, which made it easy for people living there to get around.

"Pleasant Community Visit, Slightly Pricey for Budget"

I liked this place when I visited. Everything looked clean and nice. The people working there were friendly and nice too. But it's a bit costly for what we can afford. Overall, it was a good visit, though.
