"Poor care, regrettable experience at attractive assisted living facility."

The facility looks impressive but the care provided is terrible! The staff really needs to consider whether they're cut out for working with older adults since they're not treating them kindly. I regret putting my family member in this facility. The assistants aren't friendly at all. We're paying for them to administer medicine and they don’t even make sure the pills are taken properly. I've found several pills on the bed because they hurriedly leave without checking. Unthinkable! Clearly, these aides are not fit to work with the elderly! I rue the day I decided to place my loved one here!!!

"Great Care and Fun Events"

My dad has been in the reflections unit for almost 2 years and he is very happy there. The staff are very caring and supportive. It makes me and my family feel good knowing he's in good hands. We went to the Thanksgiving family day and had a great time. Thanks to the staff for the good music, food, and fun. My dad really enjoyed the music and responded to all of it.

"We Liked the Deluxe Studio"

My wife feels really happy at the assisted living community. They take good care of her and involve her in different types of therapy. The food is excellent, and we enjoy our meals when we eat together twice a week. Although we were initially looking for a one-bedroom, we ended up with a deluxe studio since there were no available one-bedrooms at the time.

"Not Meeting Promises: Disappointing Care at Expensive Facility"

Where's the care and attention they promised for my mom? It's been two months since she moved into the assisted living facility and it seems like their fancy words were just hype. They're not doing her laundry, not encouraging her to join activities, and not even keeping an eye on her tidiness. I mean, what are we shelling out $7,400 a month for? It just feels like they're treating her like some excess inventory. I'm definitely not satisfied.

"Decent Assisted Living Tour"

I had a pretty nice time on the tour here. The staff I met were friendly, and the place was clean. It was a good experience overall, but we found another place that suited us better.

"Unkind and Insensitive Head Nurse"

The head nurse is really uncaring and quite impolite.

"Overpriced Assisted Living Facility Poorly Managed and Depressing"

This place doesn't live up to its photos at all. It costs an arm and a leg but the food is awful, and they just don't have enough staff to properly care for the residents. They even put ankle monitors on the folks there, treating them like they're lawbreakers. This place is so gloomy and sad. Like most things on Long Island, it seems driven by money instead of care for people. I'm really, really let down. I need to get my Mom away from there as soon as I can!

"Impressive Building, Poor Care and Overworked Staff"

. Even though the assisted living facility is modern and beautifully decorated, the quality of care provided to the residents, particularly in the memory care division, is very disappointing. There are not enough staff members to ensure the wellbeing of the residents. There have been instances when my mother was left alone even when she desperately needed assistance. Personal hygiene like her routine showers and hair washes were also frequently overlooked. The same already busy staff is expected to serve the meals, which makes me think they are probably not being compensated fairly. I've heard staff members venting about their working issues and expressing a desire for a better job elsewhere. Equally alarming was the director's openness about lacking control over the staff and the operations. Don't let the stunning decor and roomy living spaces deceive you–this is not a suitable or safe environment for anyone who suffers from memory problems.

"Great care and activities at this new assisted living facility"

The staff here is very caring and attentive. Residents are encouraged to stay active and join the many scheduled activities. The memory care unit is clean, and the calming colors help create a relaxing environment. Since the facility is new, that's an added benefit. The food is good, though not gourmet, and it can be served at room temperature if you’re one of the last to eat. Overall, it's a great place for a family member, especially if they have dementia. They make every effort to meet their needs. Residents are always clean and well-dressed. The only downside is that not all medical specialists visit regularly, but this might improve over time.

"Nice Place to Consider!"

We visited this place while considering care options for a family member. I found it very pleasant! The community was clean, well-maintained, and the staff were friendly. Overall, it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for care in the area.

"Impressive Buildings But Uninformed Sales Rep at Assisted Living Facility"

The buildings at the assisted living facility were quite impressive, even though they were still being built. Regrettably, the experience with the sales representative on the day of my visit was lousy. It didn't seem like she was tuned into the fact that this was a place for seniors. Her skills would probably be more fitting for peddling vacation packages. I was given a blank stare when I inquired whether the Bristal had any links with service providers for elder care necessities. According to her, there was no plan for any transportation services.
