"Tricked into bad choice, understaffed facility, refund pending."
I feel like I was tricked into thinking this was the perfect place for my mom, but it definitely wasn't. I'm still waiting for my money back. Ask lots of questions. I was made to think this place had long-term staff. However, I came across 4 new people in just my first few days. There aren't enough staff members. And the vibe during the daytime is nothing like the evening time.

"Nice, Clean, and Home-like Facility with Kind Staff"
Whenever we visit, we can tell they genuinely provide good care. They keep the place really clean, and it looks welcoming. It feels homey, and it doesn't look worn out at all. Plus, the people working there are super kind.

"Clean Place with Fun Activities but Small Food Portions"
We picked this place because it was clean, in a good spot, and had activities for the people living there. These activities had stuff like games, fun events and sometimes they'd even take folks out for trips. They'd go to places like local plays, shopping, or the big fish tank place. The food was okay, but the portions were a bit tiny. The rooms had enough space, but they didn't really like folks spending too much time in there. I'd say this place is worth recommending.

"Top-Notch Assisted Living Care at the Bristal @West Babylon"
When my mom's sudden illness meant she needed help all the time, we chose The Bristal @West Babylon. We looked at a bunch of assisted living homes in western Suffolk County, but Bristal was the best. They had everything needed for daily living, and we could see it being a great home for mom. The place looked amazing – really inviting, clean, nice decor, comfy, and big rooms. But what really impressed us was how professional and caring the staff was at Bristal. We knew straight away it was the right place for mom. The directors and managers at West Babylon Bristal have been great. They've partnered with us to give mom excellent care. Any time we need them, they're one phone call away, and make us feel like mom is the most important resident there. Because of them, we know mom's health and happiness are taken care of. After her illness, mom had to move to Bristal. We couldn't bring her back home once she was out of the hospital. At first, we thought her stay at Bristal might be temporary. But as time passed, we saw that Bristal was the best place for mom. Yes, it took mom a bit of time to adjust to this change, but the kind staff at Bristal made the transition easier and supported her. Mom made new friends and explored new opportunities at Bristal. Today, because of Bristal dedication and effort, mom calls Bristal her home. We're all excited about the new chapter in mom's life at Bristal.

"Grandmother Enjoys Positive Experience at Bristal Assisted Living"
My grandmother, who is 95, recently swapped her Florida residence for an apartment at the Bristal in West Babylon. This switch from independent living to assisted living could have been tough, but she's taken to it very well. Her new place is very nice, and the personnel have ensured a smooth transition for her. They offer a wide variety of activities, keeping grandma busy all day. She keeps saying how great everyone working there is - they're friendly, kind and know everyone by name. Plus, she likes the food, the gatherings, and the outings they go on. The Bristal also encourages family visits, a feature we appreciate. We're relieved we moved her here.”

"Best decision made for mom's quality life"
Making the hard choice to move my mom into this assisted living facility was the best thing I could've done for her. These past 3 months, I've seen her life get a whole lot better. She's got friends now, who she does art and crafts with, hangs out with, exercises with, plays card games, even goes shopping with. She talks to people her age every day, not sitting around lonely anymore. Plus, the people who work there are so nice and really care about her.

""Stay Clear of West Babylon's Bristal for Subpar Care""
The Bristal at West Babylon is truly disappointing. My mom stayed there for a 3-month span. When she first arrived from rehab, she was walking, but by the time we left, she was bound to a wheelchair. The quality care that we paid for was far from the top-notch service they promised. Sick folks don't even get proper meals served in their rooms. All they offer is a tray of tea and toast. The staff lacks proper training, and to make matters worse, they are practically desperate, rushing to hire new employees, including a new director for the wellness center. I strongly advise keeping a good distance if you require any sort of care.

"Zero Stars for Awful Assisted Living Facility"
Can't stop complaining about this awful place...the staff's lack of care and thoughtfulness, the lack of activities and entertainment options, the poor on-site medical care, and the poor daily dining choices, not to mention the ugly building design and decor, have turned my Mom's switch to assisted living into a horrible new chapter of her life...and left me in constant worry knowing she isn't looked after well, round the clock...

"Living Nightmare: Awful Experience at The Bristal Assisted Living!"
REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY! My spouse and I were instantly unimpressed with the lackluster and poor quality look of The Bristal at West Babylon. We reviewed the activities; which were scarce, infrequent, and samey. The facility doesn't cater to diverse interests or hobbies, nor does it offer anything close to a seven-day schedule. As we walked around on our first visit and on subsequent ones to see our mom, the residents would tell us how unhappy they were and how dismal The Bristal was. No one offered to include our mom in what few activities there were. My mom isn't much of a talker, but she definitely voiced her distaste for the people here. The staff was uncouth, rude, and unprofessionally incompetent. We constantly heard complaints and grumbling; it was clearly a chore for them to make our mom comfortable and content. It was obvious that their job was a burden. The so-called managers were DEPLORABLE! She did an awful job of acclimating us to The Bristal, steering us through application process and settling our mom in. They were unhelpful and added unnecessary stress during the swift decline of our mom's health. They made it feel like we were outsiders to the Bristal family. And even when we had to relocate mom to the hospital, She's cold, uncaring demeanor epitomized the Bristal's inhospitable atmosphere. She coldly told us we could come talk to her if we ever needed to. I rarely write reviews, but I was driven to hold the Bristal accountable for its many failings. I'm usually skeptical of reviews because I fear they may be fake and dishonest. If anyone wants a first-hand account of my painful experience. I don't offer criticism lightly, but I can't emphasise enough how regrettable our experience with Bristal was!

"Happy with The Bristal but More Activity Choices Would Be Nice"
My mom really likes living at The Bristal. I'm a big fan of the director, [Removed]. She's a great lady and is trying hard to make the community's programs better. I wish there could be more varieties to the activities they have. Right now they have some, but more choices would be good. The food is yummy, but sometimes I need to remind them that my mom's food needs to be chopped really small because of her diet. Apart from that, the place is nice, clean, and everyone seems happy. We're really happy.

"Great experience with supportive staff and fun activities"
Review: The staff is really supportive, knowledgeable, and friendly. My mom stays active all day, but they also make sure she gets rest or nap time if she needs it. There are plenty of activities to enjoy. The place is very clean, and the food is good.

"Attractive Facility, Limited Care Options, Plenty of Activities"
It's nice, neat, and sparkling, truly secure for people who have memory issues. Yet, they only care to a certain amount. For instance, they don't make puréed food if your family member can't swallow easily. But they do have lots of fun stuff to do. Plus, every room is private. It's pretty nice overall.
