"A great place for active, independent seniors"
We were nervous about moving my husband's mom to Assisted Living since she was always so independent. After a fall that caused a fracture, we realized she needed more help, especially while we were at work. The Regency has been a great fit for her. She was lucky to get one of the new, bright, and cheerful rooms with a small fridge, kitchenette, and a spacious bathroom. Right outside her door is a beautifully decorated lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows, a gas fireplace, and a large screen TV. There's also a sundeck they can enjoy in warm weather. All her meals are taken care of, which she really appreciates, and she thinks the food is pretty good overall. Being from the city, she feels less isolated than when she lived in a quiet apartment near us. The residents are interesting people, like former writers and veterans. They organize frequent outings to the movies and local restaurants and offer daily exercise classes, even for those with limited mobility. There are also hair and nail salon services. The Regency is in a great location, making it easy for us to go out to dinner when we visit. Both the residents and staff are our go-to people and are mostly friendly and helpful. Like anywhere, you need to advocate for things and keep communication open, but they are very responsive to requests and follow-ups. They've also given us good referrals to doctors who specialize in elderly care. Overall, we would recommend The Regency to others who are hesitant to make this move. It's a relief knowing she's well cared for and staying active and engaged.

"Mixed feelings about this assisted living facility."
I didn't expect to be here, communication was a bit confusing. The facility is large, and I appreciate the investment they're making. However, it doesn't feel like a hotel or apartment conversion. Hopefully, renovations will finish soon. I also like that they're adding a dementia unit for transitioning from assisted living if needed. The pricing is competitive.

"Parking Issues and Limited Care: Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
This facility is nice and works well for older adults who don't require a lot of assistance. However, it wasn't suitable for my brother due to parking issues.
