"Facility Falls Short"
My husband stayed at the memory care facility for over two years. Unfortunately, his window wasn't sealed properly, and it rained on his rug. They didn't fix it, even though they promised to. On the day he passed away, there was heavy rain. I couldn't be there, so I don't know how bad it affected his room. They also wouldn't give me the letter I needed for health insurance. Instead, they provided a letter from the Medicaid Coordinator. They still haven't refunded the last month's fee as promised. They don't return calls or offer condolences. Overall, I'm disappointed and don't recommend this place. However, the hospice care and aides were good.

"Disappointing Experience at The Waterford Assisted Living Facility"
I didn't like The Waterford much. The care wasn't great. They didn't have many fun things to do. Families can't eat with their loved ones in the dining room. The food they gave my mom in her room didn't look tasty. I moved my mom out after a few weeks. It was cheaper than where she is now, but quality matters.

"“Cozy Assisted Living with Great View”"
We’ve had a good experience here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping and trash collection are regular. Communication with family is great. The food challenge is because it’s kosher, but we knew that. Overall, a cozy place with a great view. Would recommend to family and friends.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"
I think some of the staff were a bit rough with the residents, especially my loved one. The activities for people in the memory care unit seemed different from the rest, and they couldn't join in. I didn't feel like the staff communicated well with families. They started off okay, but it got hard to reach them later. The rooms got renovated, but the bathrooms still need updating. The location is good, though, and it has potential.

"Generally Positive Experience at The Waterford on the Bay"
Overall, our time at The Waterford on the Bay has been mostly good. The staff have been helpful when we have questions or concerns. My loved one receives care for bathing, toileting, and hygiene. We often have to start these care routines ourselves, but the staff are willing to help. They provide kosher food, which my loved one enjoys. Meals are served at specific times each day, which is convenient.

"Great care and respect for Mom at Waterford on the Bay"
Our mom lives in the Dementia unit at Waterford on the Bay, and we’re really happy with her care. The staff keeps her clean, dressed well, and comfortable. They even let us pick her favorite foods from the kitchen. If she asks for something else, they make sure she gets it. She loves Italian food, especially their ravioli. The facility takes good care of all the residents and has limited visiting hours due to the new Pandemic Virus. Mom is treated with respect. She can be scared and might act out since she’s hard of hearing, blind, and in a wheelchair. The staff understands her needs, explains what they’re going to do, and why. This helps Mom stay calm and cooperative. We believe we made the right choice for Mom. She has been at Waterford on the Bay for a year now.

"Small rooms and layout make place feel like nursing home."
We showed up unannounced and the staff still showed us around, which was nice of them. But my 88-year-old buddy and I didn't like the small rooms or how the place was organized. It felt like a fancy nursing home.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
We went to the front desk, but they said they didn’t have our tour scheduled. The dining room wasn’t as nice as the Signature room, and it was cleaned every day. There weren’t as many activities, and the library was part of the activity room.

"Cozy Assisted Living with Friendly Staff and Delicious Food"
This place is really clean and bright. It's in a good spot, and the food they serve looks yummy. The people who work here are nice. She is especially kind and genuine. The furniture is a bit old-fashioned, though.

"Great choice with attentive staff and clean facility"
We are very happy with our choice of The Waterford for Mom. The staff is caring and attentive, and the administrator answered all our questions. The residents are well taken care of, and the facility is clean and organized. The nurse is very knowledgeable, and Mom enjoys the food. The location is excellent, and we’re excited for warm weather to take walks outside.

I thought this place was well-maintained with great amenities. They offered various packages and apartment options. Ultimately, not the right fit for my loved one.

"A Wonderful Choice for Our Loved One at The Waterford"
We are really happy with choosing The Waterford on the Bay for my mom. The place is clean, bright, and airy, and the staff is friendly. They encourage residents to join in activities and be as independent as their health allows. The management is very helpful and quick to fix any problems. Overall, I recommend The Waterford without any doubt.

"The Perfect Place for Mom's New Home"
Moving to The Waterford has been a bit of a change for my mom, but I’m sure it's the best place for her. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyone, from the admin to the caregivers, has been great! You can tell they really care about the residents, which makes it a fantastic place. Mom loves the dining experience and really enjoys the food. I’m very happy with the decision to choose The Waterford for Mom and would definitely recommend it.

"Underwhelming Tour at The Waterford, Lacking a Homey Feel"
When we visited The Waterford as a potential care spot for our family member, it didn't wow us. The rooms felt too tiny for the amount they were asking, and the whole place didn't give a warm, inviting vibe. The folks living there didn't seem to be in good spirits, and we weren't pleased that there wasn't any safe, outdoor space.

"Great Care and Friendly Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
Overall, she is doing well and getting really good care. The staff seem pretty friendly and respond quickly to any issues we mention. The toilets were a bit low, so we had to get a riser because we thought they would be taller. Sharing a room can be tough to get used to. The place is very nice and close by. It doesn’t have that nursing home smell, the furniture is more modern, and it’s bright inside. The prices are about the same as other places.

"Assisted Living: Food and Care Concerns"
My mom isn't happy. Food's bad. I got sick. Veggies mushy, chicken hard. Had to bring take-out. Full-time care? Doesn't seem like it. Mom not showered in a week. Always asking for tips.

"Lacking Atmosphere, Monotonous Movies, Improvable Food: 3-Star Review"

"Great staff, clean space, beautiful views – No regrets"
My parents moved from another assisted living place recently. The staff worked really hard to make sure the move went smoothly. They did a great job with their care and their living space, and my parents are happy. The nursing staff is caring, available, and always ready to listen. I'm especially happy with the personal care they get every day to stay clean and comfortable. Even though the facility is far from my home, it has a nice environment with great water views. I have no regrets.

"Comfortable new home with attentive staff; location is a drawback"
Our mother moved into the assisted living facility last spring, after seniors were unexpectedly relocated from Prospect Park Residence. The admissions director was incredibly helpful during this transition. She ensured everything went smoothly. Now, my mom and her attendants find her room and the surroundings very comfortable. Even though the location is far from our family, the scenic bay view and sunny room make visiting worthwhile. We feel confident that our mom is safe and well cared for, thanks to her personal attendants and the attentive staff at Waterford.

"Promising facility with varied services, but adjustment challenges for loved one."
My loved one hasn't been here long, so I don't know much yet, but it seems like they're doing a good job overall and offer a lot for residents. Unfortunately, my loved one just couldn't get used to this new place. He didn't want any of the help they offered him and thought all the other residents were too old.

"Generally Positive Experience at The Waterford Assisted Living"
Overall, things have been really good at The Waterford. It's a nice, clean place, and the staff who take care of us are all really nice and helpful. One thing I think they could do better is to have just one person families can always talk to. It feels like every time I have a problem or need something, I have to talk to three different people lots of times before I can get help. But overall, we like the care here, and we would tell other people to think about it as a choice.

"He’s younger than most, but it’s a good place"
The Waterford is really nice. My brother-in-law is younger than most people there—he’s only 65. I wish they had a place for people in the middle age range, but unfortunately, there isn’t one. Overall, it’s a good place. It’s clean, they offer a lot of activities, although he doesn’t participate because they’re geared toward older folks. He has dementia and diabetes, but they don’t keep me informed about his health. I’m not sure how assisted living places are supposed to handle that, but that’s my only concern. The cost of vitamins they provide is quite high; I’ve suggested buying them myself, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. They’re currently changing their staff for some reason. On the bright side, the location is beautiful, and it’s conveniently close to me. The water view was what convinced him to choose this place.

"Limited Activities and Unhappiness in Assisted Living Facility"
My sister hasn't been doing well since she moved there. She has a serious illness, but there isn't much to keep her occupied. She spends all day walking around the halls. She's even stopped eating, although I don't think it's because of the food; the staff are nice to her. The only common area is a big dining room where residents just sit quietly, and it smells because many wear diapers. I'm not blaming anyone, but I don't think the facility offers enough. I'm unhappy, and even though my sister doesn't say much, she's not happy either.
