"Friendly Staff, Communication Challenges, and Laundry Issues"

I think my brother is well taken care of there. The staff is friendly and knows him by name. The dining room is nice, and there's good food with plenty of choices. My only issue is communication—it's tough to get calls returned through the front desk. Since I'm 470 miles away, I'd like to talk to caregivers more often. Laundry can be tricky too, but that's probably common in all assisted living places.

"Understaffed Memory Care at The Enclave of Springboro"

My family member stayed at The Enclave of Springboro. Unfortunately, the Memory Care unit was understaffed. They were supposed to check and change every 3 hours, but no one came in all day. Most patients in the Memory Care unit needed full care.

"Good-looking place with poor management and high staff turnover"

This place looks nice from the outside, but it's a different story on the inside. The people in charge don't do much. They promise things will improve, but they never do. They just can't seem to keep the same caretakers because they're always overloaded with work and short-staffed. The big bosses don't seem bothered either. It would be an okay place to live if you can totally take care of yourself and don't mind cleaning up your own room, 'cause their cleaning folks don't stick around either.

"Slow Medication Changes, Poor Communication Between Nursing Staff"

The nurse in charge doesn't talk enough to the aides. It takes a really long time to get medicine changed.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

My family member stayed here, and things got worse. Waiting long for meals, bad communication, cleaning only every other week, and her room stayed dirty. It was hard to talk to the boss. We moved her somewhere else.

"Caring Staff, But Stay Involved with Loved One’s Care"

The nurses here are really great. If you pick this place, remember to speak up for your family member and visit them often. The people working here are nice, and they do their best to help your family member feel at home.

"Good for low care needs may fall short for high needs"

For a loved one who doesn't need much help, this place is great. It’s a really nice setting with lots of activities and things happening. The residents I’ve talked to seem very happy, and the staff are super friendly, always calling me by name when I visit. It feels like they really care. However, if your loved one needs more intensive care, this might not be as perfect as it seems. They might be a bit short-staffed and use temporary workers, which is common these days. Lower staffing can lead to some inconveniences. Remember, it’s group care, so it won’t be like having your loved one at home. The cost is high, but The Enclave is actually one of the more affordable options I found.

"Good Food and Rooms, Staff Communication Needs Work"

We feel the food and dining services are really great, and the living spaces are just right. But, we often find it hard to talk with the care team, and with new staff coming in, it’s unclear who we should reach out to for help.

"Neglected Elderly Aunt in Poorly Managed Assisted Living Facility"

I visited my aunt, who has dementia, at around 12:45 PM today. Shockingly, she was still in bed from the previous night. The room reeked horribly, soaked with the sharp scent of urine from both her and the bed. It got worse when I found out she hadn't been fed at all today, just because she was still in bed. The place may look appealing from the outside, but the quality of care is just terrible. It's heartbreaking. Our elderly relatives deserve far better than this.

"Disappointing Christmas at Assisted Living"

On Christmas morning, we were set to pick up my family member, but we found her locked in her room at 9:30 am. It took us five whole minutes just to find someone who could unlock the door. For their Christmas meal, they only had plain white bread sandwiches. The next day, I saw that the place didn’t have enough staff. There were only two CNAs taking care of everyone. They were so overwhelmed, they were crying. By the time we arrived after 9:45 am, most people hadn’t been helped out of bed or eaten breakfast. I quickly set up a meeting to take my relative out of there. I even had a paper for the manager to sign because they broke our agreement, but they wouldn’t sign it. The only good thing was the man running activities in the memory care section—he was amazing!

"Headline: "Six Months of Negligence and Subpar Care at The Enclave""

I can't believe I waited so long to share this. My husband's been living at The Enclave for half a year, and from the first day till now, it's been a string of mistakes and subpar care - this has only grown worse since he moved to the memory care section. We've had numerous face-to-face and telephone discussions with the management about the issues, and each time I was assured that things would be resolved. They weren't. Three leaders at the facility, and two have already left. In fact, one post has seen two departures. They're short-staffed and the care is subpar. My husband's in his final days and I deeply regret placing him here. I implore you not to send your loved ones here. Basic necessities like baths and oral care aren't provided, particularly when certain fluids aren't available. There are countless more things wrong with this place.

"A family-like environment"

Since Atria has opened, both of my parents have been here. Since, my mother has passed away, and the staff have treated him like family. I'm incredibly thankful for this ALF. The caregivers have reached out to my parents lovingly and compassionately. Even the receptionists have been so sensitive and caring every time we visit. The food is good, the facility is beautiful, the rooms are accommodating. We love the church service they have every other week and the bingo groups. It's a family-like environment due to everyone here being so friendly. We would highly recommend Atria to anyone who is looking for a place with assistance and help for their loved one.

"Stay Away From This Awful Place, Don't Be Deceived!"

This place is TERRIBLE without a doubt! Don't be tricked by the pretty facade. This is not a place for your family or dear ones. They are severely understaffed and can't hold onto employees. There are countless problems with this place. I wish I could rate them zero stars, but this app only allows me to give them half a star.

"Improvements Made, Communication Lacking"

My aunt was at this place for a few weeks, and she improved a lot while there. They helped her get stronger and remember to take her medicine every day. But, I noticed a problem with how they communicated between the salesperson and the administration. They made mistakes with our bills a few times.

"Lovely Assisted Living Community; Pricey for Budget"

This place is really nice. When I visited, it all seemed great. The staff were friendly. But, it's too expensive for us. Still, it's a nice spot.

"Our Visit to the Community!"

The person we met during the tour was really impressive. She knew a lot about Alzheimer's care. The community looked clean. I had heard some complaints about it being too large and understaffed, though. Overall, it didn't feel like the right fit for us.
