"Brethren Care Village: Don't Recommend,Depleting Health & Unresolved Issues"
My mom started living in Brethren Care Village over a year ago. I have to say, I wouldn't suggest this place to anybody. Each week, my mom phones me asking to get her out. I've tried quite a few times to talk to the head people at Brethren, but nothing good has come from it. My mom's stay in the facility costs over $200 daily. Since moving there, her health has gotten a lot worse. In the past two months, I've had to take her to the doctor nine times, whereas before she only saw a doctor once or twice in a year.

"Feels Like Home for Dementia Care"
From our experience, my family thinks Brethren Care Village is amazing. We moved my mom, who had dementia, from a place that felt like a prison to Brethren Care, where she felt at home. She could walk around whenever she wanted and go outside to get fresh air (with an ankle monitor). The food was great, and we ate there a few times with her. The portions weren’t huge like in restaurants, but they were just right. She never felt like she was in a hospital, unlike the previous place. She thought she was at home and joined in all the activities they offered. I would recommend this place to anyone.
