"Staff Shortage and Menu Mismatch at Assisted Living Facility"
The facility needs more staff; menu doesn't match actual meals. Activities satisfactory!

"Brookdale: A Year of Choices and Friends"
Mom's been here a year. She likes menu changes for more choices and diet control. Friends at Brookdale. Wish she'd join more activities.

"Food Choices and Staff Availability Need Improvement at Assisted Living"
The biggest issue we've noticed is the lack of food choices listed online. Also, having a backup beautician would be beneficial.

"Brookdale Provides Attentive Care and Lively Community"
I think all communities can improve. At Brookdale Centennial Park, the staff is friendly and helpful. Some see it as a calling, others as a job, but they’re attentive to my loved one. She dislikes rice, so I bring alternatives. She’s bedridden, and other residents share snacks. Brookdale offers crafts, bingo, and lively events. It’s good value for the care she needs. Day staff respond quickly to her medic alert. Evenings are slower but friendly. Residents support each other. Her room feels like home.

"Friendly staff and good price"
We just moved our loved one into the Sterling House of Englewood. I’d give it 4.5 stars. We liked the people and the price. The staff was friendly, and we heard the meals were good.

"Lack of Independence"
This place isn't great if you want to do things on your own. Lots of people here have trouble remembering things. But the workers are really nice. It just didn't work well for my family member.

"Less Than Satisfactory Assessment, Won't Recommend"
We visited this place when searching for a care option for a family member. Honestly, I didn't really like what I saw there. It just seemed like a typical old folks' home. There was a bit of a smell, and it seemed like the people living there needed a lot of help and weren't exactly friendly or jovial. I don't think I'd suggest this place based on my initial visit.

"Totally Dissatisfied with Mom's Assisted Living Conditions"
I was never satisfied, but it was my mom's decision to stay at that assisted living place. They were aware of all her health problems, but still assured us that with more money, they could handle her. They informed me over the phone - that was their way of telling us we'll need to find another place. The staff wasn't kind to her. One time, she was struggling to breathe and even though I told her to pull the emergency cord, it took them 15 minutes to react. I had to call them myself after already being on the phone with my mom for ten minutes. Compassion wasn’t their strong suit. They failed to clean, despite us paying for that service. During the three years she was there, they never cleaned under the bed or behind the furniture. Her clothes were often heavily stained, even though we were paying them to help her dress and keep her clothes clean. I wouldn't return her to that place. I had too many complaints; the place was always dirty whenever I visited.

"Very Nice, Limited Medicaid..."
The place is very nice, but they have limited Medicaid options and ala carte prices.

"Be cautious – Care quality at the facility is questionable"
My mom became a resident of this facility over twelve months ago. Initially, everything seemed perfectly fine, but then they started experiencing issues with their management. Over the past year, they've switched through multiple Executive Directors and the quality of my mom's care seems to have declined significantly. My mom suffers from Dementia, which makes it hard for her to remember stuff. Lately, her bathroom has been disorderly and it doesn't look like things are improving. I'd suggest taking thorough looks at other nearby facilities before deciding on this one.

"Pet-friendly Assisted Living with Small, Outgoing Staff and Good Floor Plan"
Had a nice visit to this assisted living place. The floor plan is good, and it's pet-friendly. The staff is friendly and outgoing, which is nice. It's not a 24/7 nursing place, but it's still good. It's a small facility, which is also good.

"Cozy and friendly but rooms are small, not for everyone."
This place is really nice and cozy. It feels very intimate. But I'm not sure if it would meet his tastes. The rooms are small.
