Brookdale Medina South

"Brookdale Medina South"
My family member stayed briefly at Brookdale Medina South. Overall, her time there was nice. Most of the staff were friendly and paid attention to her needs, although one nurse and one nurse aide were not as friendly. The place was very clean, they had good activities, and it was worth the cost. I would tell my family and friends to consider this place.

"Brookdale Medina South had no openings that met our needs."
Brookdale Medina South was closer and we wanted to go there, but they didn't have any rooms that fit what we needed.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Better Communication and Support"
The moving in was confusing. I didn't know who from Brookdale to ask for help or what to expect. Also, I get many calls at all times from staff with non-urgent updates about my dad. I wish they had a text system or online portal for communication.

"Older Facility with Limited Space and Engagement"
This place is kind of small and costs more than we hoped because you pay for each thing separately. When we visited, we noticed that the workers had the folks just sitting and watching TV. The building is pretty old, and it smelled kind of stale. The workers didn’t seem to be really involved, and there wasn’t a big space outside for people to enjoy.

"Caring Support and Safety During Challenging Times"
During COVID, my mom moved into Brookdale Medina South. I can't visit her inside, and our outside visits are rare. However, they've done great keeping everyone safe. They're always available by phone or text when I have questions. I believe they really care for my mom and treat her well. She's in the memory care unit and has made a few friends there.
