"Kind Staff, Needs More 3rd Floor Activities"
From what we’ve seen at Brookdale Oakwood, we really hope they’d offer more fun stuff to do on the 3rd floor. But I gotta say, the way they treat the folks living there is super nice.

"Mixed Experience: Good Location, Concerns About Personal Care and Activities"
"I've shared that this place is safe in a nice area, but I worry about the care. My mom's been dirty a few times—hair and clothes messy. They don't offer many activities, and there's no exercise area."

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I’ve had mixed feelings about this place. The salespeople were really nice, and the staff communicated well with us. They even joined us on conference calls to discuss my loved one’s care. However, the staffing situation worries me. They rely heavily on agency staff, which leads to less training, missed care, and a lot of staff turnover. On the bright side, the community is clean, and my loved one’s room is great. I appreciate the single-floor layout and private screened patios in each apartment. During the pandemic, we could still visit our loved one. They’ve been diligent about testing and meal delivery, taking all precautions to prevent COVID .

"Decent Facility, But Costly and Rigid Management"
The place is okay overall. It’s pretty decent, has tasty meals, and the folks here are nice. However, the ones in charge are super strict and not easy to talk to. Plus, the main thing is, it costs a whole lot of money.

"Attentive Staff!"
I had a great tour of this community for my loved one. The staff arrived on time for our appointment, shared lots of helpful information, and answered our questions thoroughly. The property was clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, it didn't fit within my mother's budget.

"Lots of great amenities!"
At this community, I'm most impressed by the amazing amenities. They have a fantastic activity list, and residents can even get their nails and hair done on campus. Plus, there are fun parties for special occasions and holidays. No complaints about the food—she enjoys dining with the other ladies.

"Cozy and Caring Facility with Great Food"
This place is really nice with only 42 units, so it feels like a family. The units have kitchenettes, and there's a lovely dining room on the first floor where they serve three meals a day. The staff is very attentive, so your loved ones would be well taken care of here.

"Friendly staff, good location, but billing issues and small rooms"
Everything is good overall, but the billing is a mess. I've been billed wrong twice. The room is too small. I heard the food is good. The staff is friendly, and the location is nice. It's just a bit small and crowded.

"Assisted Living Review: Mixed Experience, Mostly Positive"
Overall, things are okay. No major issues. But, their billing system needs fixing. Got double-billed, both times wrong. Room's cramped. Food's supposedly good. Staff's nice, good spot. Just wish it were bigger, less crowded.

"Mom's well-cared-for place"
All the staff are friendly and welcoming, always with a smile. My mom has been there for 5 months since my dad passed away. I feel they truly care about the residents and take care of their needs.

"Lovely assisted living with friendly staff but too far away"
I visited this place when I was checking out places for my family member's care. It looked really nice when we walked around. The people who work there were all really nice and seemed like they could take good care of everyone. Plus, the building itself was clean and looked after. But it's too far from our family for us to seriously think about choosing it.
