"Solid Choice for Senior Living Needs"
We chose this community after comparing prices, services offered, available assistance, and friendliness. Several factors influenced our decision.

"Mixed Experience at Brookdale Westlake Village"
Brookdale Westlake Village is a decent place for loved ones. However, understanding the costs might be tricky. You pay extra for specific services like nebulizer treatments and diabetes management. Meals are communal unless you want room delivery for a fee. Residents have to buy their own care products. While some staff are great, many are not up to par. Housekeeping is weekly, which might not be enough for some. Areas beyond common spaces aren't always clean. The carpeted floors can be a bit messy. Communication with the family needs improvement. The move-in process can be tough. The meals lack variety and taste. There's potential for improvement with caring staff. But overall, it's only recommended if you can monitor closely.

"Staff Kind, Facility Needs Update, More Nurses Desired, But Homey Feel"
The people who work here are nice and always ready to help, but the building itself could use some improvements. I think they need more nurses available because sometimes it feels like there aren't enough. It's good that there's a skilled nursing area nearby, and the place feels cozy and welcoming.

"Friendly Staff and Quick Fixes"
Everyone we met was nice and helpful. When my loved one had a small kitchen leak, it got fixed within half an hour of her calling the front desk. The meals are okay, and they'll adjust if you don't like what's served.

"Positive Experience at Brookdale Assisted Living"
Brookdale has been great for my mom. Recommended by another facility, her doctor is here too. On-site food, responsive nurses and staff, highly recommend.

"Declining Quality"
My family member stayed at Brookdale Westlake Village for a short rehab stay. It was okay for that purpose, but I’m relieved we didn’t choose to keep her there long-term. My mom had stayed at Brookdale a few years ago, and it seems like the quality of the place has gone down since then. After visiting my loved one, I decided to find a different community that suited her better.
