"Delicious Food and Cottage Upgrades"
The food here is really good. They've had the same chef for decades, which is impressive. Plus, they're currently updating the cottages.

"Reliable care and stable management; Maple Ridge stands out."
This is the second place where my wife has stayed. The first place had issues with keeping their leaders, and this caused problems for everyone there. I felt like the quality of care went down because of it. I found out about Maple Ridge from someone who works in marketing at another place for seniors that I visited.

"A Caring and Safe Community"
The staff I’ve met are really nice and professional. They’re kind and pay great attention to my loved one. This community has some positive aspects, so it’s worth checking out. They keep things clean and help residents when needed. My loved one feels happy and safe here, which is crucial.

"Mixed feelings about smoking policy, informative staff during tour."
The community was alright, but my mom smokes. Here, she couldn't comfortably smoke. They told me a lot of info and answered all my questions when I visited.

"Disappointing Experience at Maple Ridge Assisted Living"
I didn't like Maple Ridge. The place needs fixing up and care. The way they do bathing is strange. You have to plan when to get a bath, and there's only one place to do it, so you don't get any privacy. The rooms are cramped too.

"Caring Staff and Beautiful Cottages—Recommended!"
Mom lived in a senior apartment for 7 years, but when she couldn’t handle her meds anymore, we moved her here. Over 3 years, we grew to love every staff member we met—they’re always kind and patient. The cottages are beautiful! But there was a sudden change: we weren’t allowed in. When we finally got in, her suite was cluttered, and she sat shivering in a chair. The bed didn’t even have linens. Still, they did their very best during the pandemic. Yes, we’d definitely recommend them.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom stayed in the memory care unit here during COVID. Overall, things were pretty good. Most of the nurses were really great. Although there were some issues with her room, they did their best to take care of it. The limited number of washing machines (only 1 per building) caused problems for the 12 residents in each building. On the positive side, my mom enjoyed the activities provided before the director left. I recommend checking it out and considering a move if it doesn't feel like the right fit.

"Staff Turnover and Vaccine Delays Impact Assisted Living Experience"
The staff turnover makes it difficult to get to know them, and they haven't received their COVID vaccines yet.

"Assisted Living Gem with Serene Setting and Culinary Shortcomings"
"I'd recommend this place to friends. It's a cozy single-floor community with nice walking paths. However, the food was bland, lacked balanced meals, and became repetitive."

"Caring Staff, Room for Improvement: Assisted Living Review"
The people working there were really nice. They got to know my mom well and made sure she was taken care of. They also listened to what we had to say and were willing to make changes. I think it's a good place overall, but it's important to speak up about what kind of care you want for your family member and make sure it's happening.

"Terrible Care and Lack of Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
This place doesn't run well. They don't have enough staff and people are always calling in sick. The helpers don't know how to take care of people with memory problems. One Saturday, there was only one helper and no nurse looking after sixteen people, and three of them could've easily fallen. They're always behind on washing clothes. My mom/dad didn't get to shower for over two weeks. There's more, but it's too much to say. We left after a month.

"Aging facility undergoing updates, near VA, mixed resident opinions."
The place is old, but they said they'll fix it up. It's close to Willoughby VA. Some residents like it.

"Cozy Cottages and Fair Prices – A Great Fit!"
We liked the cozy cottages and outdoor feel during our tour. Prices were very fair. The shared showers were the only downside, but overall, we loved it!

"Maple Ridge Assisted Living Review"
I visited Maple Ridge to find a home for my mom. She needs assistance, and I live in Mentor but work in Willoughby, so I wanted somewhere nearby. Maple Ridge seems nice. I'm considering it. Everyone I met was friendly.
