"Terrible Assisted Living Experience; Frauds, Theft, and Poor Administration"
Go ahead, waste your money and believe their fake promises of care. You'll regret this choice every day for the rest of your loved one's remaining life. If I could, I'd give them a negative rating. They have no business running an assisted living facility, especially not the nurse's administration and their pathetic excuse for a social work case manager. They only care about the money they're making, which is clear when you look at their forms that list medication, admission, and death date, but not discharge date. Everything is a mess here, from theft, to wrong medications, to falls, to outright discrimination.

"Mixed Feelings About Chesterwood Village"
My mom really likes Chesterwood Village. It's a nice place for her. She feels at home there and has made friends she gets along with. They all eat together and chat. The only downside is the food quality, especially the chicken they serve often. They also need more staff for serving.

"Mixed opinions: Great for social seniors, too big for introverts."
Chesterwood Village is a very nice place with many residents and social activities. It's too big for my loved one who isn't very social, but ideal for those who are.

"Troubling Experience at Parkinson’s Rehab Facility"
My husband needed therapy for Parkinson’s at this living facility. He's been having hallucinations, confusion, and problems with walking under his neurologist’s supervision. The facility, without asking me, got a psychiatrist to prescribe him new medicine without consulting his neurologist first. This made his condition worse. The staff weren't compassionate, especially the social worker who hardly ever returned any of my calls. I had to take him out after only two weeks because his health worsened. I initially brought lots of his clothes, but they lost most of them along the way. I had to make six phone calls before some clothes were returned. Now, he's at a better facility and when his new doctor found out about his previous medication, she was shocked. She said no Parkinson’s patient should ever take that medicine and will now get in touch with his neurologist. The previous doctor promised to do so but never did! This facility was terrible and I'll never let anybody I know stay there again.

"Isolation and Lack of Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
Absolutely avoid this place for your family members. It seems cozy on the surface, but once your relative checks in, due to the COVID restrictions, you're left in the dark about their well-being. Not even 24 hours after admitting my aunt, we're completely cut off from her. Every time we call, we're shuffled around without getting any replies. Both her room and cell phone go unanswered, and nobody on the care staff seems to have an interest in keeping us informed. My aunt's been sick for weeks, and we've no clue about her current state. I'd expect this kind of disconnect if she were imprisoned, not in a care home that's apparently indifferent. Worth mentioning that this review form asked about cleanliness, staff friendliness, value, care services, and resident activities. I can't give feedback on these aspects as we haven't been allowed to visit the facility or our dear one.

"Chesterwood Village: Cozy, Great Rooms, Curious Policy"
We adore Chesterwood Village—it feels like a cozy little town. Our loved one is happy here, though the food has become average. The rooms are fantastic, deserving five stars. However, we're puzzled: they allow outings but not visitors.

"Outstanding therapy and staff; improved walking and confidence."
I recently stayed at Chesterwood Village for 10 days to get physical training for my neuropathy issue with my legs. The facility is top-notch in every way. The nurses and staff are outstanding and will get you anything you need. When I arrived, I could barely walk. After physical training with my therapists twice a day, I left walking strongly and feeling much more confident. The therapists were amazing and knew exactly which exercises to focus on based on my initial tests. My friends say I look like the old me. Another great feature is the smaller gyms around the facility that you can use 24/7. I highly recommend Chesterwood for physical therapy—it really helped me.

"Disappointed with Assisted Living: Food and Services Unsatisfactory"
My mom won’t eat in the dining room 'cause the food’s terrible. They keep saying it’ll improve but it doesn’t. She has to be careful with trash 'cause they only give a small bag for collection. I think we shouldn’t have moved her here, but it’s too late now.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Room Quality and Staffing"
The fancy outside and lobby impressed me, but the rooms disappointed. They were too dark, cramped, and old-fashioned. I saw only two young ladies doing laundry, no nurses in sight, even at the nursing station. One resident was left alone and slouched in a wheelchair by the station. When I mentioned it, the tour guide didn't seem bothered. After this tour, I decided it's not suitable for my mom. I rate: 4 points for the nice areas; 2 points for the Assisted Living.

"Declining Service and Rude Staff: Assisted Living Facility Review"
The place looks nice, but that doesn't matter much. The people who directly help the patients are mean. When my parent asked for help, they acted like it was a bother. One time, when they needed to be changed, the helper said she didn't have time because her shift was ending soon. It took three hours before anyone came to help, and only because my parent had to buzz for it. The person who finally came in was rude and asked, "What do you want?!" Basic care was really lacking in September 2017. My friend was here last year for six weeks and said the staff was good then, but now it's gotten much worse.

"Limited Storage Space in Otherwise Nice Assisted Living Community"
This community is nice and has a great entrance design. The apartments are also nice, but the one we saw had not much closet or storage space.

"Too Large, Friendly Guide"
During our visit to Chesterwood Village, Ashley Place, we found it too large and overwhelming. Not the right fit for my mom. The tour guide was welcoming. 🏡
