"Needs Improvement in Food Variety and Independent Activities"

Staff here are friendly and easy to talk to. The place feels like it's more for people who need a lot of care, like in a nursing home. It's not so great for those who can mostly take care of themselves. They could have more kinds of food to choose from. It would also be nice to have snacks or drinks available between meals. It would be good to have more things for residents who can take care of themselves, like activities that make them feel involved and part of things.

"Inefficient Management and Entrance System Hindered Experience at Clay Gardens Place"

Our time at Clay Gardens Place was okay, but there were some issues. They have too many managers, which made things confusing. Also, the cost depends on how many medicines you need, which doesn't seem fair. The front door system is really bad. Sometimes you have to wait 10 to 15 minutes before someone lets you in, which is frustrating.

"Great Experience, Clean Rooms, Friendly Staff"

We've had a great time here so far. I have no complaints at all. It's been awesome. My loved one's room is always clean. Housekeeping comes every week. They do the laundry well too. Communication with the family has been awesome. They always reach out if needed and keep me updated very well. The food looks good with big portions and good quality. My loved one says she loves it. I think the Chef just won a Regional Award from the company, and I was there visiting when they announced it. All the staff is very helpful and super friendly. The front desk lady greets me by name every time I visit. Overall, I couldn't ask for better, to be honest. I would absolutely recommend them to family and friends.

"Disappointed with Assisted Living Facility"

I'm not happy with this place and looking for a better one. Staff and managers keep changing. Things don't get done. My loved one fell several times and nurses didn't know. He struggles with cleaning after himself. Rent went up 10% and now they're talking about raising care levels.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"

I think this place is good for folks who like to do more things. The people who work here were alright, but they're having trouble because they don't have enough staff right now. The visit was nice, and they told me everything I needed to know, mostly.

"Great care and staff, but wished for earlier visiting access"

I’ve been a bit frustrated about visiting my loved one during Covid. She got her shots a while ago, but they’re just now letting people in. I wish they had let us visit based on whether the residents were vaccinated. Not everyone got the vaccine, but everyone had the chance to. I would have liked to visit her sooner. Still, the staff is really friendly and seems genuinely interested in my loved one. She gets a lot of care from nurses, aides, and therapists, and they all work together well. She absolutely loves the food and can’t stop talking about it. Covid has limited some activities, but they do their best to keep her busy.

"Assisted Living Facility Goes Above and Beyond for Residents"

The community was bright, spacious, and clean with wide hallways. They offered many activities. The dining staff tried hard to meet my mom's food preferences. The administrator was fantastic. The staff made extra efforts for my mom and treated her well. We chose this community because it's close to our family. Families should advocate for their loved ones and stay involved.

"Clay Gardens Review: Poor Care, High Turnover, Unjustified Price Increases"

My Mom was at Clay Gardens for about 9 months and it wasn't good. We moved her to another place that's much better. They don't call me in a panic to come calm her down and there's been no unneeded hospital visits. We were always on edge when the phone rang. The hospital finally talked to them, and it seems her medication is okay now. No more problems since she moved. She said a man there was always bothering her so she was always scared. We left before figuring out who he was. Even though where she lived was nice, a lot of their staff quit all the time. Like the head nurse, cooks, and even the Director. We never knew until we asked for them. And that's not all! They raised the prices a few times with no good reason. Something about Corporate and a point system change. It's a neat and tidy place, they just need to get better at their job.

"Inadequate Staffing Hinders Proper Resident Care"

Constantly lacking sufficient staff, the inhabitants can't receive proper care they rightly need.

"Great care for Dad and his poodles—highly recommended place!"

My dad has been living at Clay Garden Place for just over a year. He always says that if you can’t stay in your own home, this is a great place to be! He and his two poodles are really well taken care of, and my siblings and I are very thankful for everything the staff does for him.

"Assisted Living Review: Clay Gardens is Perfect for Mom"

My mom has lived at Clay Gardens for a little more than a year now. We are really happy with the staff and her apartment. The place is always clean, and they have a family night every month that we always enjoy! The staff has been really great to us, and I never have to worry about my mom being alone anymore.

"Friendly Staff and Great Care at Clean, Happy Clay Gardens"

My mom was a bit nervous about moving to a care facility, but she’s adjusted really well. The staff at Clay Gardens are super friendly and caring. They make sure every resident's needs are taken care of. My daughter, who lives in Zanesville and helps with my mom’s care, thinks Mom is getting great attention. Mom loves the food and says there's plenty of it! I was really impressed with how clean everything is, and all the residents I’ve seen seem very happy.
